All Yuu - TakaYuu

All Yuu - TakaYuu

Takamina puffed a stray chunk of hair off her face, stomping off to the joint resting room backstage and locked the door in a huff. “Takamina’s not my friend,” the angry captain mumbled, stuffing her belongings sulkily in her bag, ignoring the frantic knocking on the door. “Pfft, as if I’m keen to be her friend!”

“Takamina, open the door now!” Yuko’s angry voice cut through Takamina’s mumblings. “Open the door this instant or I’ll-“

The door opened, cutting short of what Yuko wanted to threaten and coming face to face with an equally irritated Takamina. “Or you’ll what?” Takamina challenged and Yuko felt the words melted themselves on the tip of her tongue. “Excuse me, I’ve another recording to rush to,” the captain muttered, squeezing through the gap between Yuko and the doorway, ignoring the weak calls from the other girl.

..

Takamina curled up on the comfy armchair in between the precious few resting moments during her photo-shoot, rubbing the sides of her forehead hoping to ease the throbbing headache. The strong studio lights that were blinding weren’t helping; neither were her phone’s continuous vibrations with nonstop messages from Yuko helping.

Sorry…(゚´Д`゚)゚ – Yuuchan
Just how long are you going to ignore me?  ╥﹏╥ – Yuuchan
Takamina…it was a joke… – Yuuchan
Minami…please reply me o(;△;)o – Yuuchan
Minami…sorry p(´⌒`。q) – Yuuchan
Can I still go to your place tonight? – Yuuchan

Takamina pouted, suddenly remembering their dinner date tonight and quickly sending a reply before heading back to the set for the next round of photo-taking.

..

Yuko’s phone chimed the unique ringtone that she used for Takamina’s number and her smile faded as soon as it painted her features.

Don’t bother. I’m not going to let you in. - Takamina

Yuko sighed; she didn’t expect Takamina to have taken her words, “everyone knows that words said in front of the camera can’t be taken seriously!!” Yuko argued internally, so seriously and falling out with her over those joking words.

Yuko contemplated leaving her meeting earlier to get to Takamina’s place and wait for the captain outside her unit, thinking that there would be no way the other girl wouldn’t let her in if she was already there waiting. Her manager’s call halted her thoughts as he passed a thick stack of scripts to the actress and noting that she still had two more drama meetings to attend before they could call it a day.

I’m going anyway. – Yuuchan

..

A while after Takamina stepped into her apartment, the doorbell chimed. Without even peeking through the peephole, Takamina knew it was Yuko. It’s 7, the time that they arranged to meet.

Not in the mood to attend to the other girl, Takamina ignored the chimes as she took her pajamas and went into the bath-room. If anything, she was hoping that a warm shower would clear her headache as well as her thoughts.

..

Yuko pressed the doorbell a few more times; she was sure Takamina was home, seeing that her manager’s car passed by the one that she was on when Yuko’s was turning into the apartment block.

“Was Takamina serious about locking me out?” Yuko asked to no one in particular, rubbing the sides of her arms as a gust of chill autumn wind blew her direction.

Faintly hearing sounds of water, Yuko figured that the other girl was taking her shower; it made sense if she really did just get home, Yuko reasoned, and decided to wait out for a bit before pressing the doorbell again.

..

Stepping out of the showers, Takamina hummed a cheerful tune, obviously forgetting that someone was waiting outside the door. The captain ruffled her hair dry as she went to the kitchen and fixed up a small meal for herself. The doorbell chimed once again as she turned off the stove and she made a face, “was Yuko still waiting outside?”

Takamina shook her head, “It’s impossible,” she reassured herself. “It’s already 40 minutes since she reached,” the midget reasoned, ladling out a bowl of soup and setting it on the table, all ready to tuck in. “And if it’s Yuko, she would probably be screaming instead of pressing the doorbell,” sitting down at the dining table, Takamina decided to ignore whoever that was at the door, hearing that there wasn’t another chime. “Probably a salesman,” she guessed, smiling as she downed a spoonful of hot soup in the cold autumn night.

Nearly an hour later, “Ah~ after a good meal, it’s time to sleep,” Takamina exclaimed with a pleased look, patting her hands dry on her pants after washing up the dishes.

As she walked to her bedroom, a nagging voice inside her kept telling her to check out the door. The captain made a face, groaning as she decided to make a detour to the other end of her apartment and looked out of the unit through the peephole.

Nothing.

“Yup, nothing,” the midget mumbled to herself, before her eyes catching a little bundle on the side of her door. “I never had something there,” she muttered, taking a step away from her door. The weirdly familiar star pattern on the lump of thing beside her door seemed to draw her attention towards it before a thought flashed across Takamina’s mind.

“YUKO!”

The familiar star pattern on the lump by the door was a design on the cardigan that Yuko had on earlier the morning!

Pulling the door open, Takamina hurried towards the lump squatting on the floor and drawing the freezing girl into her embrace. The warmth radiating from Takamina seemed to wake Yuko up and the older girl grinned a weak smile at the captain; at the same time, the cold from Yuko’s body seemed to have frozen Takamina’s heart as she winced, blaming herself internally for not checking the door earlier.

Bringing the older girl in, Takamina sat her down on the sofa and stood up just as Yuko stuck her hand out and pulled Takamina’s, “Don’t leave me…” she plead.

Takamina turned and looked at Yuko, giving her a reassuring smile, “I’m just going in to take blankets,” she muttered. Yuko shook her head, giving Takamina’s hand a slight tug. It became Takamina’s turn to shake her head, “Don’t be willful. You’ll catch a cold. I’ll be back,” the captain chided and Yuko gave a dejected pout.

..

Fluffing the blankets around the older girl, Takamina rested Yuko’s head on a pillow before standing up once again. “Don’t…” Yuko’s weak voice called out and Takamina sat back down.

“I’m just going to cook you something warm,” the younger girl coaxed, “I know you haven’t ate. I’m sorry,” Takamina continued, head lowering and refusing to lock eyes with the other girl.

“I only want you,” Yuko complained, sneezing (in Takamina’s opinion, cutely) then rubbing her nose in annoyance. Touching her slightly reddened nose, Takamina felt another tug on her heart; it was her fault that Yuko caught a cold and she wished that time would turn back for her to make it right.

A knock on her forehead brought her back to reality and the captain yelled in pain, “Why are you hitting me?”

“Because someone’s blaming herself for everything again,” Yuko reprimanded, sticking out her tongue to the other girl. “Although well, it is technically your fault,” she continued, laughing as Takamina made a guilty expression.

“Sorry…” Takamina muttered.

Yuko cocked her head to the side cutely, observing the other girl before raising her body a little and capturing Takamina’s pouting lips in a sweet gentle kiss. “Not allowed to apologize anymore,” the older girl mumbled, taking the captain’s hands in hers. “Because Takamina’s not a friend,” she teased once more. Takamina pouted, looking at Yuko with a disappointed look.

“Because Takamina’s my lover…”

———————————————————————————-

Probably the end of the All Yuu series. Happy Birthday Yuko <3

“Takamina’s not my friend” is from the Wonda jyanken clip which I don’t have a link to (sorry guys) and I used that as the basis for this story. LOL -3- I thought this might just be my fluffiest piece ever T^T//// Why so cute these two shorties \\(T^T)

“I’m tired…”
“Yuko…”
“I’ll be fine though…”
“…”

“I’ve always been fine. Don’t worry about me!” Yuko chirped, putting the mysterious smile on her face as her pupils dilated and pushing Takamina towards the exit. “You need to get home early. This isn’t a place for someone like you,” she added, giving the shorter girl a slight smile before making her way back towards the bar counter, downing her sixth shot for the night.

Takamina sighed as she walked out of the noisy bar; the chilly autumn wind brushing her face greeted her at once. Walking towards the bus stop, the younger girl shook her head and made a U-turn back to the bar. If Yuko gets any drunker, it would be a hassle to get her home safely and as a friend, Takamina had to make sure her best friend gets home in one piece.

“What are you doing back here? Missed me already?” Yuko slurred, arm around an unfamiliar face, face flushed from the alcohol that she had consumed for the night.

Takamina glared at the stranger before making a disgusted face at Yuko. “It’s time you go home,” she said, breaking the pair’s embrace and throwing the taller girl’s arm around her shoulders, stabling her before making their way to the exit.

Yuko struggled and attempted to push Takamina away from herself, only to realize that she hardly had any strength left in her after the effects of alcohol kicked in. “Stop trying to get away from me,” in a lowered voice, Takamina warned. Flagging a taxi just outside the bar, Takamina struggled, and with the help of the kind driver, managed to get Yuko into the car and headed for her place.

The ride home was a long one; Takamina watched as Yuko closed her eyes, scrunched her brows tightly together and gently guided the other girl onto her lap to rest. Takamina recognized that mysterious smile that Yuko carried on her face at the bar; the last time she showed this smile was back in school after a messy and very ugly breakup with her boyfriend then and Takamina didn’t like how she smiled again a while earlier.

She suspected but couldn’t confirm though firmly believed that it had to do with Haruna.

..

The driver was kind enough to assist Takamina in bringing the drunk and very much unconscious Yuko up to the former’s apartment, claiming that “a little girl like you will die if you had to carry your friend up alone.” Takamina laughed and retorted that Yuko was “a little girl as well” and the driver joked that he would ditch them both halfway up the stairs if Takamina bickered with him anymore.

Dropping the dead squirrel onto the couch, Takamina brunched up the top of her blouse and took a sniff before choking on the heavy alcohol stench. The younger girl made a face and decided to clean Yuko up before taking a shower herself, silently praying that the other girl wouldn’t puke on her or on the sofa.

Getting up, Takamina went to the toilet and grabbed a clean towel, soaking it with warm water before bringing the towel with a plastic basin with warm water to the living room. Heading back to her own room, Takamina got two sets of pajamas, rolled her eyes thinking of how much a chore it would be to help Yuko change in her drunken state. Walking back to the living room, Yuko’s snoring amused the other girl and she gave a soft sigh, “You can do this! Takahashi Minami! You can do this!”

..

Ruffling her hair through the towel, Takamina stepped out of the showers, pleased with the smell of her vanilla-scented shower crème instead of the putrid smell of alcohol. A slight whimpering from the couch caught the sleepy girl’s attention and Takamina made her way beside the sleeping girl.

Yuko’s brows were furrowed tight and her hands seemed to be shaking as if in fear; Takamina believed the sleeping girl was having a nightmare and contemplated waking her up. “Nyan…” she muttered, eyelids pressed tightly together. Takamina frowned; why would dreams about Haruna give the girl a nightmare? “Don’t…don’t leave…”

That night, Takamina spent it sitting beside the sofa, holding Yuko’s hand and giving the sleeping girl soothing strokes on her arm whenever she shuddered from the nightmares that were going through her mind.

..

The blinding rays of early morning sunlight stung Yuko’s eyes as she stirred slightly. Taking in her surroundings, the older girl realized she was at Takamina’s house. Her eyes followed her left arm down and saw her hand tightly clasped around the said girl’s hand and raised an eyebrow. Attempting to recall the previous night’s events only brought forth a splitting headache and Yuko let out a sudden groan of pain which woke Takamina up. “Sorry,” Yuko mumbled, “For waking you up.”

“Good morning.”
“Good morning to you too.”
“…”
“Was it a chore to bring me back here last night?”
“Harder than the English exams during University.”
“Asshole.”
“Was that a thank you from you for all my hard work?”
“Baka~”

“I’ll make you breakfast,” Takamina said, stretching her tiny body and wincing at the soreness from sleeping sitting up. A look of guiltiness flashed past Yuko’s face; “I’ve a breakfast date with Acchan so I won’t be eating with you,” Takamina announced, rummaging through the fridge to find ingredients.

Yuko jumped out of the sofa, “Ah! Then there’s no need to cook me breakfast!” Takamina raised a questioning eyebrow, “I’ll just grab a bento on my way home,” Yuko reassured, beaming a wide smile at her best friend.

Takamina nodded, “Oh, and I think you’ve to change into some of my clothes to get home. I washed yours last night and it’s not dried yet.”

“Yes mommy~ Now, I think you’ve to shower before you’re late for your date,” Yuko teased, watching in amusement as Takamina caught a glimpse of the clock on the wall and gasped as a look of horror painted her features.

“Remember to get breakfast on the way home!” Takamina reminded once more before the shower door slammed loudly and Yuko laughed.

A sound that Yuko thought she had forgotten how it rang in her ears since nearly 10 days ago…

Probably breaking it into 3-5 parts in the end but am still writing this piece so…it’s all up to whether I can lead it into an ending that I want, which is always the most difficult. Have pretty much already decided on the final pairings but we’ll see how it goes and depends on what people wants I guess. Tagging it with the pairings that appeared in this chapter -0-// Hadn’t been writing for these few days and just catching up on AKB videos and felt once again that writing is sooooo damnnnnn difficult. Almost died trying to start writing this piece today. -_- It’s an idea that popped in my mind like a couple days back. ^^//

..............

@Origami: I always thought TakaYuu was cute (I bet it was because they are both shorties). I'll look into that R-rated piece when I've the mood because it's kinda awkward to write those like how I used to for my K-Pop fandoms. -__-/// Into adorable fluff now and hardly can write those tbh. -_-//

@yoko2148: Thank you for reading....and no dying~~~~~~ ^^;;

“Sorry I’m late!” Takamina apologized as she rushed into the café, rubbing both of her hands in front of her and lowering her head as if to show her apologies. Acchan swallowed a smile and maintained a straight face as she glared at her girlfriend. “I’ll treat breakfast!” Takamina promised, raising her head just slightly and saw the small smile creeping onto her girlfriend’s face at her promise.

“I’ll order lots!”
“Yes madam! As long as you’re happy~”
“…”
“What did I say wrongly this time?!”
“…”
“Acchan…”
“Nothing, I was just pulling your leg.”

Acchan laughed a crisp laughter, scrunching her nose as she watched her girlfriend made a sheepish face. “But I’m not kidding when I said I’ll order a lot,” Acchan warned, taking up the menu. Takamina nodded, gesturing to the waiter over and watched as her girlfriend ordered enough to feed a football team. “I’m sooooo hungry while waiting for you~ I’ve a photo-shoot in the afternoon~~” the younger girl whined and Takamina rubbed the back of her head guiltily.

“Sorry…I slept late last night.”
“Why?”
“Yuko.”
“Yuuchan?”
“Mhm…she got drunk.”
“Why?”

Takamina shrugged her shoulders, “We were supposed to go drinking last night, I told you about it. But when I got there, she was already drinking.” Takamina continued her story until the food came and she paused, knowing that the moment the first dish touched the table, she lost her girl friend’s attention to the sandwich.

..

Yuko sighed as she stepped into the house, eyes glazing across the photo frames set up in almost all the corners of the place. Grabbing the one closest to her, Yuko brought it up near her face, “Nyannyan…” she muttered, stroking the other girl’s face in the photo as a tear slid down her cheeks.

Putting it back on the top of the shoe-rack faced down, Yuko did the same to the photo frames that she passed by on her way back to her bedroom before throwing herself on the huge bed, faced down as well.

..

“They broke up?” Acchan asked, face stuffed with food and half in shock.

“I think so? At least that’s what I gathered from Yuko’s sleeptalk.”
“You sure she wasn’t like having a nightmare and talking crap?”
“I thought she was but it didn’t seem like so after a while.”
“Wow, what the fuck is happening?”

Takamina made a “I don’t know” face and watched as her girlfriend took out her cellphone and quickly punched out a message. “Who are you texting?”

“Haruna,” Acchan replied and Takamina choked on her juice. “What? I can’t text Haruna?” the shorter girl shook her head, “I’m just asking her out and maybe check if it’s possible to help them get back together.”

“Though from the looks of it, it seemed like mission impossible,” Takamina frowned.

“Yeah, Yuko sounded pretty much bumped out from what you described,” Acchan mumbled.

..

“Hi Miss I’m-a-busy-model”
“Oh Acchan!”
“To think we’re having the same photo-shoot.”
“Coffee after work then?”
“Sounds good to me!”

The photographer interrupted the pair’s conversation as they got ready in front of the setup. Who would have thought that budding actress Maeda Atsuko would be in the same photo-shoot as renowned model, Kojima Haruna? And who would have known that the duo is close friends?

Haruna replied Acchan’s morning text with an apologetic tone that her week was packed tight with photo-shoots. However, it turned out that the photo-shoot that Acchan was attending that afternoon was one with Haruna. Despite it being their first photo-shoot together, the pair’s rapport –built up over the years of friendship—allowed them to struck it off flawlessly.

Wrapping up nearly two hours ahead of schedule, the pair gave an exhausted sigh after changing back into their casual clothing. “Acchan,” Haruna called out, halting the younger girl who was in front of her in her steps. “Can we…can we not go to that café? Starbucks round the corner would do just fine,” she continued, giving an apologetic smile.

The younger girl gave a wave of her hand, “I sort of heard what happened. No worries, we’ll just head to the Starbucks.”

..

“Feeling better?” Takamina asked, wiping the sweat off the sides of her brows as she flipped the CLOSED sign on the door. Watching the girl behind the counter gave a slight nod, Takamina shook her head. “Stop lying to me, Yuuchan…”

Yuko made a face, there was no way for her to lie to her best friend – Takamina would see through all her lies with just one stare. “Why did you ask then? Oh and sorry for coming in late today,” the girl mumbled and Takamina let out a chuckle.

“That’s the last thing on my mind ya know,” Takamina went behind the counter and made herself a double shot Americano. “Coffee?”

Yuko shook her head, heading to the fridge and getting a bottle of milk. “Aren’t you tired of coffee yet?” she asked after swallowing a mouthful of milk.

Takamina ssexy beasted, going up to the girl and used her index finger to wipe off the milk moustache on the slightly taller girl before walking to an empty table. “No, why would I?” she asked in return. “I love coffee and that’s why this café happened.” Sliding down on the comfortable armchair, the younger girl gestured to Yuko to come over.

“Like how you love cakes which made this café possible.”

..

“I just stopped liking Yuko…”
“…why?”

Silence hanged in the air between the pair and Haruna took a sip of the hot chocolate, “I realized I liked someone else.” Acchan raised an eyebrow in surprise. “You never thought I would fall out of love with Yuko, do you?” Haruna questioned.

A blank look in Acchan’s eyes later, a long sigh escaped her lips. “Who?” The sudden yet straight-forward question took Haruna aback and she came eye-to-eye with Acchan’s now-questioning ones.

“It wasn’t just me,” Haruna started. “Yuko didn’t know it, or rather, refused to acknowledge it but she wasn’t feeling the same towar-”

“Who?” Acchan asked again, lips pursed together and eyes radiating determination.

“Someone.”

AN: Despite saying I've decided on the pairings, I'm kinda undecided as I continued to write this piece. If you could do me a favor, please tell me what pairings you'd probably want to see this piece end up in. (:

...................................

@Origami: ;~;// I'd try after I finish this piece. Hahaha but R-rated story..you know for a fandom like this, I'm surprised that it isn't overwhelmed by those fics already.

I second this. Part of me is hoping that's the case just because complicated can be fun, but I still want Atsumina and Kojiyuu to win in the end!

;;of a poor penguin

Takamina rolled her eyes, “Stupid Atsuko.”

After a long day with the crazy amount of schedules, all Takamina needed was to know that her girlfriend went on a date with Yuko. Without her. “How on earth did Yuko find time to go to the musical?!” The general manager rubbed the sides of her forehead, taking up the penguin soft toy which Acchan gave to her and gave it a few irritated pokes on the face. “If only I didn’t have had all these meetings during the day, it would be our date!” Takamina thought bitterly.

“Wow, someone’s going to disfigure our penguin,” a body crashed itself onto Takamina’s from the back and the midget stiffened slightly. She was too distracted to notice that Acchan had came home and had even crept up behind her. Takamina pouted slightly, turning around to see her girlfriend’s gleeful face which effectively killed any forms of lecture that was dripping from the tip of her tongue earlier the night. “Miss busy-general-manager must be jealous of Yuuchan!” Acchan teased, poking Takamina’s reddened cheeks. “Don’t bully our penguin though,” the younger girl complained, giving the toy a pat on its head.

Takamina pouted, “Someone cared more about the stupid penguin than her girlfriend.”

Acchan smiled and leaned her body closer to the shorter girl before closing the gap between their lips. Tongues danced a sensual tune of its own as hands hastily started removing the distracting clothes off each others’ bodies. Takamina let out a low moan as Acchan’s experienced hands danced around her body, touching fleeting touches at all the correct places. With a flick of hand, the penguin landed clumsily on top of the pair’s clothes. Well, at least it had a soft landing, Takamina argued the next morning when Acchan chided her once again for torturing their penguin.

It was however, safe to say that the pair had a steamy and exciting night the night before and going to the theater the next afternoon, Takamina proudly displayed the red marks on her neck to the other midget as if trying to show off what’s hers. Yuko rolled her eyes, hands clinging onto her Haruna and made a face.

Haruna patted Yuko’s crown gently, the shorter girl pouted and whined softly to her girlfriend. “That stupid Takamina. I’d show her the marks I’ve…if that didn’t required me to go naked in order to show them.”

................................................

Not a update for complicated feelings but a short ficlet. It's dedicated to a tumblr user but I thought I might just post it here too. T^T//

................................................

@arrow27: Thanks for reading. I think Minami probably spends like 50% of her earnings to feed Atsuko every month. ;~;// It would probably clear the doubts in the next chapter -- on if Haruna is just saying it, or did she really mean someone.
@Calyrica: Thanks for reading. ;D Complicated is fun I guess but I got messed up halfway when I'm reading. I arent in a Kojiyuu mood lately and was like, let me break them up in everythinggggg~ Thanks for your input though. We'll see how this fic ends ;~;//
@saeyukilover: Thanks for reading. ;~; Like I said in Calyrica's reply, wasnt in a Kojiyuu mood lately and is like "omg let me break them up!" ;~;// Would you hate me if I still break them up in the end? Hahahaha
@Tanchan: Thanks for reading~ I couldnt think of a title and since it's complicated relationships, it shall be called that! :/ Is Yuko...hehe
@Pdpond: Thanks for reading. We'll see who Haruna fell for soon....
@Tam_atsu: XD Thanks for reading. I'm not too big a AtsuYuu fan though. I'll try. I do write a lot of Kojiyuu though.
@O r i g a m i: Ah yes, I know of that section. I just thought it wasn't a lot. I expected more. Hahahaha. I like fluff more. ;~;// We'll see who wins in the end... :/

Alright…sleep well then. Dream of me! – Takamina
That won’t be sleeping well!!!  (;¬д¬)– Acchan

In your dreams Minami. – Acchan
Love you. – Takamina
(。・ω・。)ノ♡ Love you more. – Acchan

 ..

Takamina ruffled her hair dry, humming a tune as she looked through her fridge, grabbing various ingredients. “Hungry…” she muttered. She stayed a little too late in the café with Yuko and the eatery near home was closed by the time she reached it. Deciding against a 7-11 bento, the barista got home to cook herself a bowl of…what else? Katsudon.

Leaving the dishes for the next day, Takamina walked to the sofa and flipping her laptop on, went through the entertainment news, hoping to catch some happenings on Acchan. A mail popped up and she groaned; Takamina had put off long enough the call for her to get to the States to check out the new coffee beans. “Oh wells…since Acchan would be busy, I’d might as well…” Takamina muttered to herself, clicking into the airlines’ website.

A few clicks later, Takamina walked to her room and dragged out her suitcase from under her bed, dusted the dust away and started dumping clothes into the luggage.

..

Yuko lazed restless on the counter top; she had made enough cakes to last the shop a day or two and didn’t want to do anything except to…except to do nothing. “Yuko, if you are tired, you can go home first,” Tomochin said, rolling her eyes then passing a cup of coffee to Tomomi, “Table 12’s order.”

“When is Takamina coming back?”
“Why? Do you plan to slack off till she’s back?”
“…no?”
“Lies.”
“Hey! I’m offended!”

“She’s coming back next week I think? It depends on how long she takes to pick up the new coffee beans from States,” Tomomi answered, placing the emptied cups on the counter and glared at Tomochin.

“I was only kidding,” Tomochin mumbled, taking the cups and placing them in the sink. “Yuko, can you…like be useful around here?” Yuko raised a questioning eyebrow, “Like washing the cups?” Tomochin groaned.

“Hey, don’t bully my cousin!” Tomomi complained, giving Yuko an encouraging smile.

Yuko nodded, scooting closer to Tomomi. “I’m nursing a heartbreak!”

“So much for being my girlfriend,” Tomochin muttered.

“What?” Tomomi plopped her elbows on the counter and stared at her girlfriend.

“I need Takamina back here,” Tomochin mumbled under her breathe.

Tomomi pouted, “What did you say?”

“…”

..

“Takamina?!”
“Haruna?”
“What are you doing here?”
“Erm…going to the New York?”

Haruna chortled, settling down in the seat beside Takamina. Seeing the shorter girl’s questioning eyes, “I’m your seatmate for this flight,” Haruna filled in, showing Takamina her flight ticket.

“Small world…”
“Why are you going to New York?”
“Coffee beans.”
“Oh…”

Silence hanged in the air between the pair awkwardly before Takamina broke the stillness, “What about you?”

“Fashion spread,” Haruna replied. “Gonna be there for a week.”

“Oh? Me too,” Takamina scrolled through her phone and passed it to the other girl. “That’s where I’ll be staying. Maybe if you can spare time, we can have coffee in New York.”

“You really do love coffee don’t you?” Haruna laughed before a look of surprised flashed past her face. “I’m staying at the same hotel.”

..

“Hey…coffee?”
“The last time I checked, my nickname was still Acchan.”
“…HA.HA.HA.”
“I’m just popping over to check if you’re still alive.”
“Hey!”
“Where’s Takamina?”
“States? Did you not know?!”
“EH?”
“She decided to go just last night. Did she not tell you?”
“Oh…maybe she called or texted me. I don’t know.”
“…”
“I left my phone at home today.”

Yuko ssexy beasted, giving a comforting pat on Acchan’s crown. The taller girl gave an offended look as if saying, “I’m taller, what are you doing, patting my head?”

“Hey Acccchannn~” Tomomi waved, giving the tired actress a wide grin that tugged the ends of Acchan’s lips upwards.

“Tomomi has this charm huh?” Yuko mumbled wistfully and Acchan nodded. “Honestly, her cheerfulness is infectious.” The pair watched as the younger girl busied herself, cleaning the table tops, making faces at Tomochin who was struggling with the washing, occasionally humming a light tune that came as a stark contrast to the heavy mood at this end…

“I would give a year of my life to live a day in hers…”

..

Takamina groaned a little, squirming around and trying to make herself more comfortable on the aircraft seat. Proving it to be an impossible task, the midget huffed an angry puff and Haruna chuckled quietly. “I’ll raise the armrest and if it’s more comfortable, you can lean on me,” the taller girl offered.

Gratefulness radiated from Takamina’s droopy eyes as the shorter girl rested her head against Haruna’s arms, tucking her legs under her bum onto the seat. Closing her eyes, it took Takamina a little less than five minutes before steady breathing and light snoring could be heard from the younger girl.

Haruna noticed the snoring and removed her reading spectacles, clicking off the overhead lamp then slotting her book into the compartment in front of her and gave a soft sigh. “This still looked pretty uncomfortable,” Haruna muttered, looking at the sleeping girl. Gently lowering Takamina’s head and body onto her lap, she stopped as the other girl stirred slightly, afraid that the younger girl would wake up.

Seeing that Takamina made no other movements, Haruna started slowly stroking the girl’s short hair. Takamina used to have long and thick hair but on one of her shopping trips a couple of months back, this muddle-head burnt most of them away by accident. It brought a smile onto Haruna’s face; the strong-headed café owner whom Haruna is friends with since young, on the surface might seemed firm and zealous but is in fact, a fragile and sensitive child beneath. Haruna remembered the nights that Takamina would cry softly in her arms after burning her hair; crying about how she hated her short hair and how Acchan would make fun of her while making Haruna make time out of her busy schedules to accompany her on hair extensions appointments.

“Minami…”

Complicated feelings 4/?

“Wanna stay over for the night?”
“Don’t have extra clothes with me…”
“You can wear mine.”“I guess…that might be fine…”
“Though it might be a little bigger…oops, longer I mean.”

“Asshole,” Yuko laughed, pushing Acchan slightly in mock anger, stepping into the apartment. “I haven’t been here for such a long time,” the shorter girl mumbled, taking in the surroundings. “Nothing changed,” Acchan nodded, picking up her pet cat, Ruvu and giving it a playful nudge. “Hi Ruvu~” the cat gave a soft mew as Yuko patted its head.

“It’s funny how Ruvu likes you,” Acchan mused, much to Yuko’s annoyance.

Letting the cat back down onto the ground, Yuko poked Acchan’s cheek. “What do you mean it being funny that Ruvu likes me?” Yuko said with a slightly offended tone.

Acchan walked to her room as Yuko followed closely behind. “Well, Ruvu hates everyone except me. And you. Even when Takamina comes over so often, Ruvu never took a liking to her,” the younger girl explained, setting two sets of pajamas on her bed.

“That’s because I’m lovable,” Yuko praised herself, grabbing the red pajamas and heading to the showers.

Acchan laughed, “Nothing changed indeed.”

..

Takamina stirred and opened her eyes slightly, the smell of breakfast tickling her senses. It took a while before she realized that she was lying on Haruna’s lap and as gently as she could, got up from the comfortable human pillow.

Feeling a shift, Haruna peeled her eyes opened, “Good morning,” she said with a huskier than normal voice.

“Good morning,” Takamina replied, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly, “Sorry for…” and pointed to Haruna’s lap.

“Ah~” Haruna wiggled her legs for a bit, wincing as the numbed limbs stung and Takamina frowned. “It’s okay,” the older girl sensed Takamina’s guiltiness and tried to make her feel better. “See it’s better now,” Haruna swung her feet slightly and smiled while trying to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes.

Raising her hand to stop the girl from rubbing her eyes further, Takamina chided, “Stop. You’re going to hurt your eyes.” Haruna gave an unhappy whine and a smile crept unknowingly onto Takamina’s features. “I’ll buy you ice cream if you stop rubbing,” Takamina promised a promise that one would have thought that Haruna is a child to buy it.

“I’m not 5,” Haruna pouted, smacking playfully at Takamina.

“5, 15, 25, it’s all the same, isn’t it?” Takamina mused as Haruna rested her head on her shoulder, “We all have an inner child in us.”

“I want strawberry.”

..

Yuko woke up to a note beside the bedside table.

Morning! Slept well?  Filming starts at 5 today, woke up late and didn’t have the time to make breakfast. Yuuchan needs to get her own breakfast alright? Have a good day! – Acchan

The squirrel-like girl groaned for a bit and rolled back under the blankets, only to be interrupted by the chime of a mail.

YUKOOOOOOO! What time are you coming in today? – Tomochin

Yuko raised an eyebrow as her eyes trailed to the clock at the top right side of her phone. 11:55AM. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Tomochin’s going to kill me!”

It was then when she realized she had a series of unread mails from Tomochin. “Oh shit!” Yuko yelled as she tumbled down the bed. “Fuck, I don’t have fresh clothes,” she muttered, sending a quick text to Acchan.

Hey! Can I borrow your clothes? – Yuko
Did you just wake up? Yeah you can. – Acchan
Yeah. I’m dead. Tomochin’s going to kill me. – Yuko
Good luck! – Acchan

Throwing the closet door open, Yuko looked at Acchan array of clothes and hastily picked a T-shirt and a pair of denim shorts before flying to the showers.

The showers door slammed as Yuko’s phone chimed again.

Oshima Yuko, you’re so dead when you reach the café… - Tomochin

..

“Takamina, stop picking your vegetables out!”
“B-but!”
“Tomatoes are good for you!”
“If Acchan’s around, she would eat them for me!!”
“…”
“Mou…I just don’t like tomatoes.”

Haruna made a face and stuck her fork over to Takamina’s food tray, taking the pieces of tomatoes off the younger girl’s tray. “Thank you Haruna~~,” Takamina beamed a smile that was so wide, her eyes became lines. “You’re the best!”

“…Only because I’m eating your tomatoes,” the other girl replied somewhat irritably.

Takamina smiled, scooping up a piece of cabbage and dropping it onto Haruna’s bento. “Mou…don’t be angry,” using a voice that somewhat resembled a hurt puppy, Takamina muttered, “Here’s a piece of me!”

Haruna rolled her eyes as a smile painted her face. “What’s with the a piece of me?” she asked, stabbing her fork into the leaf and putting it into her mouth.

“Ouch! Ouch ouch ouch!” Takamina laughed, “Remember that I’ve always wanted to be a cabbage since young?”

Haruna snorted and the younger girl laughed along…

..

“Oshima Yuko!!!”
“Sorry sorry!!!!! I’ll get to work right away!”
“…”

“Oh Tomomi!” Yuko exclaimed, shocked to see her younger cousin squatting near the oven. “BE CAREFUL! It’s hot!!” the older girl chided, pulling Tomomi away from the oven.

“I was only helping you,” Tomomi muttered, pouting at Yuko’s accusing tone.

It was then when Yuko realized that the younger girl’s face had bits of flour on it and she had donned an apron on. “You…?”

“Yes, my girlfriend had to bake the cakes for the morning rush,” Tomochin blamed, taking Tomomi’s hand in hers.

Yuko looked at the couple guiltily, “Sorry…”

Tomochin made a face, then took a double take, “Never mind. We need more cakes up front!”

..

“Did you notice what your cousin was wearing?” Tomochin asked as she and Tomomi walked out of the back kitchen.

The younger girl nodded, “Do you think she…”

It was Tomochin’s turn to nod, “Yeah.”

Tomomi felt a chill ran down her spine and Tomochin slid her arm around Tomomi’s waist, pulling the taller girl into her embrace.

“Let’s just leave them to themselves.”

..

“NEW TO THE YORK!” Takamina yelled as the pair pushed their luggage out of the airport hall.

Haruna laughed, face slightly flushing red from embarrassment as Takamina attracted some curious glances from passer-bys. “Nyan nyan let’s go try their Starbucks!” the shorter girl exclaimed excitedly and Haruna shook her head slightly, pointing to the waiting car in front of her. “Oh…Miss famous-model has a car waiting…Alright,” Takamina said, looking slightly crestfallen.

Haruna pouted, looking at the girl beside her who had lowered her head slightly, obvious dismal on her face. “Let’s go to the hotel together, and then we’ll go Starbucks,” she coaxed as she started pushing their trolley towards the waiting vehicle.

Takamina raised an eyebrow in surprised before jogging slightly to catch up with the taller girl. “Are you sure it’s okay?” she muttered.

Haruna patted her crown and gave a light smile before nodding. Takamina beamed a smile in Haruna’s way and took over the trolley from the model. As the driver helped to load their luggage into the boot, Takamina pumped her fist in the air.

“I LOVE NYANNYAN!”

AN: Hmm…honestly I’ll just let on a bit, seeing that I’m not going to update this for at least ~2weeks since I’ll be overseas (unless I get Internet over at where I’ll be at and have time to write)…

I don’t really plan to give any drama to wtomo, I’d like them to stay together for the whole plot. The general consensus seemed to want kojiyuu back together but I’m not too sure how it would be myself too. LOL But doesn’t it look near impossible that they will get back together?

Will there be new characters adding into this mess…well, for now I think there won’t be but I’m half hearted in wanting to drop another one or two members in. Who shall I add if I do does that? Though at the same time I want to end this piece within 6-8 parts at least, and if I do add people in, it would only be longer. And more complicated. LOL~

…And I thought the “a piece of me” was cute. LOL

//

@Origami: But I don't write fluff well T^T Thank you for reading. Hope you like this update. ^-^

;;Complicated Feelings Side Story 1 – The Songwriter’s Song

“What kind of singer-songwriter are you aiming to be?”

The now-renowned song-writer reminisced as she sat at the far end of the café; a smile gradually graced her slightly boyish features. The door chimed as a tall girl walked into the café, placing her order at the counter and walking towards the song-writer with her head lowered. Without looking up, she took a seat at the table and the song-writer raised an eyebrow. It took the girl a bit of time before she realized that the table was taken; the red puffy eyes spoke a separate story on their own as the girl quickly apologized and got up to move to the other table.

Jurina stuck out her hand and grabbed the taller girl, pulling her back onto the seat beside herself. At almost the same time, Tomomi came up to the table and placed the cup of double-shot espresso down, “Juri-chan~ your friend?” The younger girl returned the smile and nodded; the mysterious look on Jurina’s face told Tomomi a tale and the older girl gave a slight nod in return, walking back to the counter and turned the soothing music a slight notch louder.

“Double-shot? Your eyes are red enough even without forgoing sleep,” Jurina mused, taking a sip from her cup of caramel latte. The other girl raised her head slowly, bloodshot eyes locked with Jurina’s knowing ones, before quickly lowering her head again. “A break-up is not the end of the world…”

Silence hanged in the air between the pair as the calming music spoke on behalf of them, narrating a tale of break-up and new starts after what seemed to be the end of the world. A few tears dropped from the sides of her eyes, a look of longing, and a tinge of hope…

As the singer sang the story, Jurina could feel the tensed girl beside her gradually started to relax.

“Matsui Jurina.”
“…Shinoda Mariko.”

They sat in silent for the next 15 minutes or so; Mariko looking down at her fingers on her lap as though it was the most interesting thing on Earth while Jurina looked out of the window, humming along the tune playing in the café and watching slightly amused at the various happenings on the busy street. Catching a movement at the side of her eyes, Jurina’s hand swiftly swopped up to stop the cup that was nearing the girl’s lips. “Try something sweet,” she suggested, taking the espresso cup out of Mariko’s hands and replacing it with her caramel latte. A look of surprise flashed across the taller girl’s face and before she could reject, “Don’t even think of declining the offer,” Jurina asserted, an air of superiority seemed to pressure the other girl to follow what she said.

“Too sweet,” Mariko muttered, passing the cup back to Jurina after a small sip.

“It’s only so, because you thought so,” Jurina said, taking back her cup and took a mouthful. “It’s fine to feel some sweetness in the midst of all these bitterness you’re putting yourself through,” she offered, taking up a forkful of cheesecake and placing them on Mariko’s lips. The taller girl was at a lost and her face painted that look much to Jurina’s amusement. Letting a small smile crept up her face, “You can start by opening your mouth and taking the cheesecake into it,” Jurina guided teasingly.

Mariko felt the sides of her lips being tugged up slightly and in surprise, quickly opened her mouth to hide the expression. The slight smile however, didn’t escape Jurina’s vigilant watch…

“It might hurt a lot now, but it’s easier to break away from the lies now, than wait for it to pile up even more in the future,” Mariko bit the bottom of the lips as Jurina’s advice sunk deep into her heart, accompanying with the apt music that the café was playing. It wasn’t a new piece of advice and Mariko knew; it seemed however, easier to cry and just be in despair than to struggle and pick herself up after the heartbreak.

Looking up at the girl beside her properly for the first time over the past one hour, Mariko took a sharp intake at the young beauty facing her. Tidily-cropped bob hair just slightly longer than where her ears are and bangs swept to the right, sharp nose accompanied by high cheekbones, the defined jaw-line coupled with pouty lips…

Jurina watched as the other girl’s eyes trailed down her face and stopped at her lips, “What do you think?” she asked, the moving lips snapped Mariko out of her trance. Red immediately colored Mariko’s cheeks and quickly, she lowered her head once again, much to Jurina’s disappointment. “Mou…I’m not going to get any compliments for my looks?” the song-writer pouted as she teased the embarrassed girl.

Seeing that Mariko wasn’t going to raise her head, “Might as well!” Jurina thought and she leaned closer to the taller girl as she felt the girl tensed up, before resting her head on Mariko’s shoulder. “Love doesn’t have right or wrongs. Sometimes…people cheat because they missed their single ways, and they forgot that they are no longer so,” she murmured. Mariko’s stiffened shoulder slowly started to relax and Jurina started humming the tune playing in the café.

Letting a sigh escaped, Mariko turned her head slightly and looked at the girl on her shoulder. “Why…why did you seem to be explaining the songs?”

Without lifting her head off Mariko’s shoulder, “Because sometimes, an explanation would clear the doubts faster,” Jurina offered.

The taller girl nodded, looking forward with a faraway look on her face. “These songs…are really good.”

“Really?”
“Yeah…It makes you feel…”
“Like the singer is nursing a broken heart…”
“With you…”
“And that you’re…”
“Not alone in this dump.”

Mariko cracked a smile, her first since the break up nearly a month ago.

Turning to the girl beside her, she smiled; a genuine one that seemed to shine from within the taller girl and Jurina felt her lips being pushed up as well, smiling back at the girl in front of her.

“Thank you,” Mariko muttered, this time round, leaning her head on Jurina’s shoulder instead.

“When someone had their heart broken, and they heard the song that I wrote…and they could feel that they aren’t alone in this heartbreak, gaining strength to pick themselves up after the relationship…Yeah, that’s the kind of songs I want to write.”

Side story. An idea that popped up late last night and I wrote it down in one shot. This should be my last complicated feelings update until I'm back. I really like this for no particular reason. It could stand on its own as a separate piece but I used it as a side story since there's coffee and what's not. ;~;// And because I want to add characters into the story but didn't want it to drag so it could work in terms of side story instead. ;~;//

When I was writing, it is meant to be implied Mariko-Yukarin. I wanted to write some Yukarin parts in but I thought it's best left unsaid. Whichever pairing that floats your boat then ^^;;

................................

@arrow27: Thank you! I think KojiTaka is reaaallly cute ;~;// Well I guess when AtsuYuu are cheating together, KojiTaka can get together. And yea, the 'a piece of me' pun is something that I could imagine Takamina joking about. LOL
@Tam_atsu:  :cry: I'm sorry ;~;//
@Origami: Hahahaha yes, I enjoyed writing those parts as well. And Thank you for always reading and even commenting. T___T
@nnoir3p: Thank you for reading. ;~;// It would be a while before I'll update again! T_T

“Earth to Yuko,” Tomochin raised her voice a little, hoping to snap the shorter girl out of her daze.

“Woah, I’m going deaf,” Yuko teased in return, shaking her head side to side as if to clear some invisible distractions.”We’re already closed for the day, why can’t I just relax for a bit?” the older girl complained, taking up the dishcloth that Tomochin threw to her and wiping the counter.

Tomochin gave a blaming click of her tongue as the café doors pushed open, “We’re clo-,”

Yuko looked up from the table, “Oh Acchan!”

The actress beamed a smile Yuko’s way and made her way towards Tomochin, “Mou, you won’t serve your cousin if the café’s closed?”

Tomochin laughed and nodded her head much to Acchan’s displeasure, “No special cousin privileges,” she said, wagging her finger. Acchan made a face and caught the shaking finger before giving it a playful bite. Tomochin yelled half in shock half in pain and glared at Acchan before feeling an eerie chill down her spine.

“Hi Tomomi~” Acchan turned around and greeted before quickly scooting towards Yuko after seeing the strained smile on Tomomi’s face.

Tomochin turned to her girlfriend and saw the jealousy and anger radiating from the younger girl’s eyes, “Hey hey~ it’s not my fault alright?” The shorter girl walked towards her girlfriend and took her in her embrace, “Furthermore, she’s my cousin, I can’t do anything anyway!” The taller girl pulled apart and glared at Tomomi again, “W-what did I do wrong again?”

“If she isn’t your cousin, you would have already jumped on her won’t you!” Tomomi accused and Tomochin shook her head like her life depended on it. “You totally would!”

Tomochin gave a soft cry in protest but snapped her mouth shut once she saw the anger radiating from Tomomi’s eyes…

..

A few tables away, Yuko laughed watching the plight that Tomochin was in. “Gloating?” Acchan’s voice demanded her attention away from the bickering couple and Yuko nodded, smiling a bright and blinding grin at the other girl.

“Coffee? I can make you a cup even if Tomochin refuses to,” Yuko offered.

Acchan shook her head, “I think I’m coming down with something. Don’t want to take my chances with coffee.” Yuko nodded knowingly, “I’m heading home. Filming starts at 5 tomorrow.”

“Do you want me to accompany you?”

..

Haruna closed the door to her hotel room and pulled her luggage into the suite. Pretty impressive she had to say; three bedrooms each equipped with a king-sized bed, a living room with a 50-inch 3D television, a fully functional kitchen attached to the dining room…

“It seems a little too big to live in alone,” Haruna whispered.

“And a little too lonely,” she sat on the armchair facing the window and looked down at the pretty New York scenery. Absentmindedly calling for room service, the model ordered a simple cup of café mocha.

Letting a long melancholy sigh escaped her lips, Haruna got up to unpack her clothes from the luggage, lingering at a piece of blouse that fell out from in between the pretty autumn coats. Not exactly a tidy person, it was no wonder that random stuffs were packed in with the ones that Haruna should bring to New York.

Picking the cloth from the ground and habitually dusting it, Haruna snapped out of her trance as she recognized the light pink top.

..

Flashback

“Ne Nyannyan! Look at this!” Yuko called out excitedly, pointing to the racks of blouses on display.

Pulling the taller girl closer to the clothes, Yuko picked out two that were of matching designs though different colors. Placing the light pick piece on Haruna, Yuko made a pondering expression and the cuteness from it made Haruna want to swoop down and plant a kiss on the older girl. “Nyannyan looks sooooooooo pretty in it!”

Haruna laughed, “Since when did I not look pretty to you?” the taller girl teased, taking the shirt from Yuko’s hands. “It’s just an ordinary T-shirt, Yuuchan,” she lamented, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.

“But I like how Nyannyan looks in it!” Yuko insisted, throwing in a squirrel-like pout. Haruna pursed her lips together and looked at her girlfriend. “Yes?” Yuko asked again, albeit with a trance of uncertainty in her voice.

Haruna shook her head then watched as Yuko’s lips dragged downwards a little more than it was pleasing to the eye and smiled, “Alright alright, we’ll get those.”

..

A knock on Haruna’s door interrupted the girl’s thoughts and as she took her coffee over, a familiar person down the hallway smiled at her. “Nyannyan~” the short girl called out, waving her hands in the air somewhat comically, earning a puzzled look from the room service staff.

“Ta~ka~mi~na,” Haruna greeted, much to an embarrassed Takamina. “What’s up?”

The shorter girl looked at the cup of mocha in Haruna’s hands and pouted, “I make better coffees,” she complained. Haruna looked down at the cup and raised an eyebrow before inviting the older girl into her room. “WOAHHHHH!! Your room is soooo big,” like an excited kid, Takamina exclaimed, zooming in and out of the different rooms and checking out the suite. “Oh my god, life’s good as a model huh?”

Haruna laughed, “Is your room that small?”

Takamina made a face as she pondered, “Not really, good enough for one or two. But your room is like…for a family or two,” she chuckled.

The taller girl nodded, taking a seat on the armchair beside the window and putting the cup of mocha on the coffee table beside. “It gets lonely though,” she whispered. The smile on Takamina’s face fell, and a frown painted the girl’s face. Haruna looked at the girl’s change of expressions from the window’s reflection and struggled to carry a small smile on her face, “It’s okay, it’s not your fault for mentioning anyway.”

Plopping onto the armchair opposite Haruna’s, Takamina took up the cup of mocha and took a small sip. “Too bitter,” she muttered.

“I thought it was sweet. Or maybe…it’s because your heart’s bitter?”
