I have no words. This is sort of like a 'Comeback' for me... but srsly, nope. I'm on hiatus~ Just had to make this since it's a request.

“Ne, Yuki.. I’ve actually been hiding something from you lately.”
“Really? You’re such a naughty girl, Mayuyu! Keeping secrets from your friend, tsk, tsk.”
“N-no! I didn’t mean it that way, stupid! I wanted to tell you this for a long time but I didn’t find the perfect time to..”
“I was just kidding you know. Come on, tell me now.”
“You see, Yuki, I… I like you.”==== O w O ====
“Oi, Yuki! Wake up already!”
“Hmm… I’m up, I’m up~ I had the most wonderful dream~”
Yuki slowly got up from her seat and stretched her arms like she was in her own house. She adjusted her glasses and fixed her bangs as she slightly yawned
“Who cares about your dreams, stupid?! You kind of slept those classes away!”
“Yeah, I know. I was cramming last night for the tests this afternoon, Akicha~“
Akicha had a troubled expression glued to her face like it was never coming off. Yuki tilted her head and scratched her hair, thinking she made Akicha mad at her.
“Akicha? Are you angry?? I’m sorry…”
Akicha smiled and looked at a crowd’s direction, making Yuki’s attention shift to the crowd too.
“You know Watanabe Mayu, right?”
A wide smile suddenly crept Yuki’s face as she noticed a beautiful girl with a cyborg look stand up from her seat. Watanabe Mayu, one of the popular girls in school just makes Kashiwagi Yuki’s heart beat faster and faster
“You mean that goddess who seriously makes my heart melt?”
Akicha rolled her eyes on Yuki and smacked her head
“Yuki, seriously?! Goddess? She’s a cold and mean person, how could you take interest on someone like her??”
“Akicha, that’s not how it works! When love hits you—“
“Love?! Who are you and where is the Yuki I once knew?!”
Yuki ruffled Akicha’s hair and smiled at her whilst grabbing her bag. Akicha pouted and started fixing her hair.
“Akicha, I’m still here and besides, you always knew I liked Mayu.”
Yuki headed for the door but was halfway stopped as Akicha caught her wrist in time
“Watanabe is your partner in making a project for the Science fair. “
Yuki’s eyes grew wider as if they would come out of their sockets. Her heart just went overdrive and her smile grew bigger and bigger. Akicha on the other hand, face-palmed herself too hard.
“Gosh, I don’t know what to do with you, Yuki. I’ll catch you later, then. You can continue with your fangirling. Ciao~”
Yuki was still there standing frozen. She really couldn’t accept the fact that she’d get this close to her crush for years.
“This might be my only chance—“
“Hey, Kashiwagi.”
“Eh?”
Yuki looked at the person in front of her and to her surprise; it was her so-called ‘goddess that melts her heart’. She took a step backward and almost stumbled on her own foot. Luckily, she grabbed a hold of her seat
“W-Watanabe-san..!”
Yuki smiles at Mayu but unfortunately, Mayu kept a straight yet ‘fuck my life’ face. Yuki stares at Mayu for a while and somehow Mayu found it strangely uncomfortable
“What are you staring at, nerd?”
Mayu said in an irritated tone which caused Yuki to choke on her own saliva, almost intimidated.
“D-did she just call me… ‘Nerd’ ?”“Uhh… nothing. Please don’t mid me…”
Yuki looked down on her own shoes, hoping that Mayu will stop being harsh at her.
“Anyway, about the project, you just do it all for me and I’ll check out its progress once in a while, okay?”
“Whaaat?! But we’re supposed to work on this together!”
Mayu scoffed and an intimidating smirk crept up her face as she crossed her arms
“Do you expect me to work with a nerd like you?”
Yuki felt a pang in her heart and as if the whole world fell down on her upon hearing those harsh words from none other than, her crush
“N-no... Okay, I’m sorry. I’ll work on the project immediately.”
Mayu smiled and patted Yuki like she was some pet dog. However, just one touch from Mayu made Yuki’s heart squeal in delight. In the inside, Yuki was already ‘fangirling’ so hard.
“I’m expecting a high-standard from you, nerd. See ya.”
As Mayu walked out of the classroom, Yuki couldn’t help but stare at her butt.

“WHAT?!?!”
Yuki immediately threw the phone away from her as the person on the other line harmed her ears too much. Her nose cringed as she covered her ears
“YUKI! ARE YOU THERE?? WHAT WAS THAT?!”
She crawled to the corner of her room which is where the phone landed and picked it up and cautiously put it to her ear, still afraid Akicha might shout again.
“Akicha, stop shouting..! You’ll wake the whole neighbourhood!”
“Oops~ Did you just throw the phone away? Hehe~”
“You were harming my ears. Why are you even overacting about what Mayu said?”
“I’m your best friend so it’s normal I would get angry over that Watanabe for calling you a nerd! ”
Akicha said with an irritated tone. Yuki smiled sheepishly and could imagine her best friend pouting on the other line.
“It’s okay, Akicha! I mean, I really am a nerd with the glasses and stuff…”
“No, you’re not! Nerds aren’t beautiful like you, my dear tiger cub~”
Yuki coughed, surprised with what Akicha said. Sometimes Akicha can be like a mother hen
“Tiger cub, huh..”
“Whatever. Just finish that project, okay? Goodluck~”
“Thanks. This is going to be hard since she’s not going to help me with this at all.”
“I told you, she’s trouble. I gotta go though. Talk to you later.”
“Okay, Akicha.”
Yuki hung up and jumped on her bed. She sighed and started wondering on how to handle Mayu.
“I sure hope I’m not going to regret anything…”
Suddenly, the door opened revealing Yuki’s mother.
“Ah, Mamarin. What is it?”
“There’s an unusually beautiful girl waiting for you. She said she’s your classmate.”
Yuki’s eyebrows furrowed as she wondered which classmate knows her address other than Akicha.
“Hmm.. I better go check out, then.”
She rushed downstairs and took a peek of the living room. There she saw a girl with jet black hair flowing past through her shoulders sitting quietly.
“Uhh..”
The girl’s attention shifted to Yuki and she smiled bitterly.
“Ehhh?! Watanabe-san, what are you doing here??”
Mayu stood up and walked towards Yuki.
“I came here to give you the sketch of the project.”
Mayu looked around the house and spotted Yuki’s mom smiling at her so she just smiled back
“Ah I see. But how did you know my address??”
Mayu’s cheeks immediately showed a shade of red causing Yuki to misunderstand
“Do you have a fever—“
“I-it’s not th-that I knew your address, stupid! I just g-got some help..”
“Ohh I see…”
Mayu searched for the sketch in her bag and gave it to Yuki quickly. She bowed and looked at Yuki with a ‘tsun’ look.
“I’ll be back to see your progress. Goodbye.”
Mayu bowed at Yuki’s mom and rushed to the exit of the house. Yuki scratched her head while looking at the sketch.

Day after day, Mayu and Yuki work on the project together. Sometimes, at Mayu’s house but mostly at Yuki’s house. But they never really worked on it together at school. When they pass by each other at school, Mayu never says anything; she just stares at Yuki and never smiles. But they’re getting along just fine, not like before on how Mayu calls Yuki a nerd. Yuki started wondering why Mayu took her words back about Yuki working on it alone and jumped to conclusions, such as Mayu liking her back. But it was impossible. Mayu has too much pride and self-esteem. Simply, Yuki and Mayu were in different worlds.
“Okay, so we have 3 more days until we get this thing to the Science fair.”
Yuki happily munched on a biscuit as Mayu was playing with their almost-finished-project.
“Un! I can’t believe we really made this huge thing~”
A/N: I do not know what their project is so I’ll leave that to your own imaginationMayu got up from her seat and sat beside Yuki who looked like a really happy child right now
“Say, Yuki… I’ve noticed that some kids at school make fun of you sometimes.”
Yuki turned her head towards Mayu and smiled
“Yeah, but I don’t care really. They can do whatever they want.”
“What? If I were you, I’d take revenge and beat them into a pulp!”
Yuki chuckled at how Mayu was acting. She never saw Mayu act so childish and comfortable with her
“You’re so cute, Mayuyu~”
Yuki pinched Mayu’s cheeks causing Mayu to struggle and yelp in a high-pitched tone.
“Arrghh! Stop, Yuki! It hurts!”
Yuki stopped pinching Mayu and cupped her now red cheeks instead. She pouted playfully at Mayu and smiled after
“Did it hurt too much? I’m sorry”
Mayu unconsciously found herself staring into Yuki’s black orbs. She felt her cheeks heating up at the realization that Yuki really was beautiful, inside and out. She
looked away immediately
“L-let go of me…”
Yuki stopped cupping Mayu’s cheeks and brought her hands down to her lap. Yuki felt her curiosity senses tingle in her. Why was Mayu acting all shy in front of her? Why were her cheeks glowing bright red? Why did she stop looking into Yuki’s eyes? Why did she stutter in front of Yuki? Yuki finally decided to ask Mayu about this.
“Mayu, when I greet at you school… why do you always ignore me or even snob me?”
Mayu’s eyes widened and started shifting around the room, trying to avoid meeting Yuki’s eyes. She never really wanted to answer that question.
“That’s none of your business.”
“None of my business? Of course it’s my business! We’re talking about our relationship here, Mayu!”
Yuki raised her voice which caused Mayu to flinch. Mayu glared at Yuki and wanted to punch her so hard. Mayu is known to have a really short-temper and doesn’t want anyone to shout at her. Yuki noticed Mayu’s black aura emerging
“I-I’m sorry, Mayu. I didn’t mean to—“
The next thing Yuki knew was that she was staring at the side. Her right cheek felt hot and painful. She was just trying to process if what ‘happened’ really happened. She looked at Mayu and she looked like her temper was broken
“I never… I never asked for a relationship with you!! And I never wanted to have one in the first place! You have no right to raise your voice at me, Kashiwagi Yuki…”
Mayu stood up and grabbed her bag. She ran out of Yuki’s house, somehow very angry yet sad. Yuki, on the other hand was still processing what happened. She never expected Mayu to slap her like that so suddenly on something so trivial. Yuki got down and put ice on her bruise. But then, she noticed it was already almost 12 midnight. Her eyes widened to the realization that Mayu might get into trouble. She got outside and searched for Mayu quickly.

“Stupid Yuki acting like a jerk and making me go all fuzzy and angry and... argh! I hate her!”
A gust of wind flew by as a dog howled. Mayu somehow got cold and scared and hugged herself to be warm
“I wonder what Yuki is doing. She’s probably angry at me for slapping her…”
As Mayu was walking, she looked at the stars but then, she bumped into someone with a rough and hard chest.
“Ittai! What the – Watch where you’re going, Mister!”
Mayu rubbed her chest as she recovered from the impact
“Mayu!”
“Eh?”
Mayu looked at the man in front of her and her eyes widened.
“Y-you..!!”
The man she ran into was none other than, her Ex-boyfriend. But this time, he changed. He has a beard and has long hair. He also had bags under his eyes, looks like he’s drunk.
“Mayu, I’ve been looking for you! Come back to me, baby!”
The man approached Mayu, opening his huge arms, wanting to hug her. Mayu took steps backward as the man tries to move forward.
“What are you saying?! I’m not coming back to you! I was never yours, and you never loved me!”
“Mayu, I’m lost without you and this is me when you’re not here to take care of me!”
“Yeah, well learn to take care of yourself, old geezer!”
Mayu barked at him and started to run away as fast as she could. As she turned her head back, she saw the man chasing her.
“Mayu, why are you running away from me?! I love you!!”
Mayu started running faster. She regretted the things she did to Yuki and started wondering that she should’ve stayed with her.
“Yuki… save me!!”Suddenly, Mayu bumped into another person again. This time, the person had a soft chest, seemed like a woman. Mayu buried her face into the person’s chest and hugged her, as she was so scared. The person wrapped her arms around Mayu to make her feel warm.
“There you are, Mayu. I was so worried about you…”
Mayu recognized the soothing voice. She looked at the person and saw Yuki smiling at her.
“Y-Yuki!!”
“Hey!! Why are you hugging my girl!! She’s mine! I found her first!! I met her first!!”
Yuki smiled and hid Mayu behind her back. The man slowly approached them but Yuki isn’t moving at all.
“Yuki, what are you doing?!”“It isn’t about whom you have known the longest… It’s about who came, and never left your side. And I never left her side, so she’s considered mine.”
Yuki approached the man and kicked his ‘thing’ and punched him straight in his stomach.
“That’s for scaring Mayu.”
The man collapsed, still holding his ‘thing’ underneath. Mayu immediately ran and hugged Yuki from behind.
“Yuki, I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean to slap you or say those harsh things! Please forgive me!”
Yuki turned around so Mayu could hug her properly. She petted Mayu’s hair as a smile is plastered on her face.
“It’s okay, Mayu. I love you and I’d do anything for you even though I’m ugly and a nerd like this. Even if you choose to stay away from me, I’ll always watch over you and protect you from the distance.”
Mayu peeked out from Yuki’s chest and smiled warmly, a true smile.
“Stupid Yuki,”
She cupped Yuki’s cheeks and looked at her in the eye. She suddenly took Yuki’s glasses off, dropped it and arranged her fringe
“You wouldn’t need those glasses now, would you?”
She continued to cup her cheeks as she slowly tip toes to Yuki’s height. She smirked and licked her lips
“You look better like this… I love you and I’m not ashamed to admit it anymore, Yuki.”
“Mayu, is it okay like this? Can I catch you if you fall for me? Say yes…”
Mayu’s nose touched Yuki’s forming an Eskimo kiss, and slowly, Yuki tilted her head and kissed Mayu’s lips. Mayu smirked and started to answer Yuki’s kiss. And then, she mumbled sensually…
“… Yes.”
