Chapter 3
It’s been almost two months since the last time I’ve talked to Mayu, After she woke up from the hospital, I’ve never have a chance to talk to her properly. The last time I saw her is when we held a party for her, when she got out from the hospital. I can’t really talked to her, I felt intimidated when Jurina is near her, and if I got a chance to talked to her, I don’t know what I’m gonna say. So I just let it be, I just continue my life like it used to.

It’s Friday night when I received a text from Acchan, she invited me to her house to have a party, this Sunday, she also said that I could bring Sae. So I just accepted it, beside I have nothing to do.
Around 7:00 pm, me and Sae go to Acchan’s house and we help her prepare the drinks and snack. One by one our friends come with their partner by their side.
“Ahh Konbanwa”
Yuko said, along side with Haruna when she entered the house
“Ahh, Yuko I thought you will be her with you’re little sis?”
Takamina asked, then she look back to see if there’s a person behind Yuko, but she saw nothing.
“Ahh Mayu-chan will be late, she said she just need to finish something, and she will be picked up by Jurina, after work is finish”
Yuko said then give some drinks to Takamina. Then Rena, Kumi and Kanon entered the house, and greeted us.
“Yuko”
I said then, walked closer to Yuko and drag her outside the house, so we can talk properly
“What is it Yuki?”
She asked, while showing her smile and dimple
“Can I asked you a question?”
I said, she just look at me and nodded her head
“Ano, why didn’t you tell the others about the cause of Mayu’s accident?”
I said, While Yuko just scratch the back of her neck, and look at me then smirk
“Nee, it’s actually Mayu’s wish, When we are in the ambulance back then, Mayu woke up and said don’t tell the others the cause of her accident, then after she said that she passed out again. But she was to late I already called Acchan and told her the real reason of her accident”
Yuko said, then smile at me
“Why?”
I asked her, but she come near me and whisper to me
“Simple, she’s just protecting you from Jurina and her family”
after Yuko said that, I felt a different aura from Yuko, but then gone when she tap my head and pulled me in for a hug
“Nee, it’s cold here, let’s go inside”
She said, then pulled me in to go inside
Around 8:15 we started the party, Takamina and Yuko play some weird games, Acchan and Rena talked in the other table, and Kumi and Kanon flirting in side, while me and Sae talking about some random stuff.
Around 9:25 pm Mayu and Jurina come, Yuko immediately come near Mayu and touched her butt.
“Ahh Shiriri-chan you’re late”
Mayu just laugh it off and also touch Yuko’s butt
“Gomen Oshiriko-chan I’m just busy but Jurina picked me up to early so I’ve finish my work too early”
Mayu said, then look warmly at Jurina
“Ahh well then, Thank you Jurina for taking good care of my Shiriri-chan”
Yuko said, then mess Jurina’s hair
“No problem Yuko”
Jurina said then, drag Mayu to get some food and drinks, Mayu saw me and smile at me
“Shiriri-chan, Oshiriko-chan?”
I said, but Rena heard me and look at me
“ahh that what Mayu and Yuko called each other since college”
Rena said, then take a bite to her melon bread
“ehh?”
I just look at Rena, and give her a questioning look, but Rena just laugh at me
“hahaha Yuki, you distance you’re self too much in college with Mayu. A lot of things change”
She said, but before I got the chance to reply her, Sae called me and give me a glass of wine
“Yuki here”
Sae said, I just take it and took a little sip
“Thank’s, Sae”
I said, she just smile at me and kissed my cheek
“Yuki let’s dance”
Sae drag me to the center and dance, I just go with the flow and dance along with her. Then I felt like there’s someone watching me, so I look around, then I saw Mayu staring at me with her empty eyes while showing her smile. I just look at her while dancing, but Jurina suddenly whisper something to Mayu and made her blush and kiss her on the cheek. Mayu’s attention suddenly change to Jurina, and she also whisper something to Jurina, that make her smile. I shift my attention back to Sae and continue our dance.
After some hours of uncontrollable drinking , playing and dancing Sae’s now dancing weirdly with Yuko and Takamina on the center, while I’ just watched her, I didn’t drink any alcohol except for that glass of wine Sae gave me. I know I’m not good at alcohol so I refuse to drink.
“Yuki”
someone called me, so I look around to look who called, Then I see Mayu just right beside me smiling.
“Ahh!! M-Mayu”
I just smile at her, then she grab my hand
“Let’s talk”
she said, I just look around, to find Jurina. Jurina just talking with Rena and Kumi not noticing our talk, Mayu drag me outside, then look at me
“Yuki do you still hate me?
she asked, I just waved my hands disagreeing to her
“No!! Mayu”
I accidentally scream at her, then she widen her eyes, and chuckle to my respond
“Hahaha you’re funny, Yuki were still friends right?”
she asked, I just nodded my head, and she just smile at me
“Mayu you’re my best friend, and I’m really sorry about the past”
I said to her with my eyes suddenly felt tearing up, then she touched my face, and making me face her
“Yuki don’t cry, I’m the one should be apologizing, about lying to you”
she said, then she kiss my cheek, I felt my heart skip a beat when she kissed me, and she whipped my tears away
“Yuki let’s start again, let’s forget about the past and start a new beginning”
Mayu said, I just nodded my head, and look at her casted arm
“Mayu!!”
We heard a voice and look who was it, and it’s Jurina staring at us, Mayu just stand up
“Yuki, Thanks for everything”
she said then kiss my cheeks again, and run with Jurina and hug and kiss her on the lips, and make her go inside, after that Jurina just gave me those scary stare again. I suddenly felt fear when I saw Jurina and with those eyes, then she entered the house and followed Mayu
“Why Im scared of her?”
I just asked myself and I don’t know why I’m feeling this way.
