well hello there. apparently I have a writers block and I just had the idea of updating this story.
I hope you guys like it.
Chapter 1
“Have a good day, and be careful” Kai waved at his son who was in the entrance of the school. “Yes daddy” his son wave at him. It’s been six years since Atsuko died. Kai was strong though out those years, he kept living because of his son. His friends always were there. The years were hard for him especially when Mizuki was only a baby. Luckily Atsuko’s mother and his mother were there for him.
Today was his first day in Sae’s modeling company. He wasn’t exited but he was happy that he could win more money.
“Kai you will make all the contracts with the models” Sae told Kai. They were in Sae’s office. Sae is the owner of the company and he is also happily married to one of
the most famous models in Japan, Kashiwagi Yuki.
“Yes, and thank you for giving me this job” Kai vowed.
“Anything for a friend” Sae smiled and shakes hands with Kai.
“And about Mizuki, you can tell me if you need to go pick him up from school” Sae smile
“Ok thank you”
Later that day
“Mizuki how was school” Kai hugged his son. He pushed him gently to see his son’s face.
“Mizuki, what’s wrong…why are you crying” Kai wiped his son’s tears with his thumb.
“Some kid was making found of me because I don’t have a mom” Mizuki cried.
“Mizuki, you know even if she is not here, she will be in your heart” Kai pointed to Mizuki’s heart. Mizuki try to stop crying, but those words were the same as all this
years.
“I know but…” Mizuki couldn’t finish his words because his dad hugged him.
“Hey that’s the kid who doesn’t have a mom” one of the kids shouted and pointed to Mizuki. Mizuki cried harder, he push his dad and started running.
“Mizuki” Kai yell
“Ma’am can you please tell your son no to be so rude” Kai pointed to the kid that has just said those horrible words. After he said that he started running to find his
son.
“Mizuki”
At some other point, there was a woman who was walking with a lollipop I her mouth. Every guy who was crossing her path looked at her. The tall woman walked without a care in the world…well that what it seemed.
Then she stopped when she saw a kid, about six years old, who was crying in the bench. She moved slowly to the kid.
“Are you okay?” the woman asked.
“No” the boy answer.
“Where is your mom, kid?” the woman asked as she squad to see the boy’s face better.
“My mom is not here anymore” the boy started to cry more. The woman thought about what the bot had said, and then it hit her.
“I’m sorry. Hey do you want a lollipop that always cheers me up” the woman took out a lollipop form her bag.
“My dad says I should not accept candy from strangers” the boy wiped his tears.
“Well how about this, I tell you my name, so I’ll not be stranger” the woman suggested.
“Okay” the boy look at the woman
“My name is Ray and yours?” Ray asked
“My name is Mizuki Takahashi” Mizuki smile. He thought Ray was a good person. Ray gave him the lollipop and he accepted is happily.
“Now Mizuki where is your dad? Ray asked him. She turned to see around if there was someone looking for Mizuki.
“I don’t know, I run away from him” the bot look to his side.
“That young and running away” Ray move her head side-to-side signifying ‘I can’t believe this’.
“Mizuki” a man yell. Ray got up and looked at the blond short guy.
“Is that your father” Ray asked and Mizuki nodded.
“Mizuki, I have been looking for you” the man went running to his son and gave him went running to his son and gave him a hug.
“Daddy I’m okay, my friend cheer me up” Mizuki pointed to Ray.
“Thank you very much for keeping him company” the man vowed
“It was nothing Mr. ….” Ray wanted to say his name, but she didn’t knew his name.
“My name is Takahashi Kai” Ray smile.
“let me take you somewhere if I may, just as a thank you for looking after my son while I was searching for him” Kai smile.
“Can you please” Mizuki plead
“Okay, but only because of you”
After some time, they got to put a place where they had an indoor playground.
“I haven’t introduced myself, but you probably already know who I am” Ray was drinking a strawberry smoothie.
“Do I know you, you don’t seem familiar” Kai answer as he still kept on watching Mizuki.
“Seriously you don’t who I am?” Ray answered a little shock. She thought all Japan knew her.
“No I really don’t know. What’s your name” Kai turn to look at Ray.
“I’m the top selling diva, Ray” Ray said proudly.
Crickets that’s all you can hear.
“Seriously, I still don’t know who you are” Kai shrugged.
“but I’m everywhere” and like magic, Kai turn around and saw a poster of Ray in the window, a person passing by had a CD of Ray in his hands, then a truck came by
promoting Ray’s new tour.
“I don’t think I have heard of you” Kai shuck his head side to side. This is why Kai never knew of her: Kai was a hard-working man that paid no attention to anything else except his son and his work.
“Okay, well now I know that not all Japan knows me”
“You must be proud” Kai chuckled
“Mr. Takahash-“Ray interrupted by Kai.
“Just call me Kai”
“Okay. Kai if it isn’t too much to ask, but did your wife…..is she in a better place now?” Ray didn’t want to say the word “death”.
“She is, she died after she gave birth to my son” Kai sounded sad.
“I’m very sorry” Ray gave a slight smile.
“It’s okay” Kai turned to see his son.
Ray saw that shine on Kai’s eyes, and she thought he was a dedicated father.
“Well, would you look at the time? I’m sorry, but I have to leave” Ray look at her cell phone.
“Really, I hope I didn’t make you late for what you are going to do”
“No its okay, but my manager is going to be mad at me, but I’ll put him in his place” Mizuki came and saw that Ray got up.
“Ray, where are you going” Mizuki walked towards Ray. Ray smiled and got to Mizuki’s level.
“I got to go, I have work to do” Ray smiled
“Hey do you want another lollipop?” Ray asked. Mizuki nodded. She got out a grape flavor lollipop and gave it to Mizuki.
“Mizuki, what do you say” Kai said as he got closer to him.
“Thank you ma’am” Mizuki vowed.
“It’s nothing. If you want to I can come by and visit you and give you another lollipop” Ray smile and look at Kai.
“If its okay with your father?” Ray added. She didn’t knew why she said that, but it felt right.
“Yes of course, but aren’t you busy being Japan’s number one diva” he sarcastically asked
“Yeah, but I have time for my friends” Ray patted Mizuki’s head.
“I hope we can see each other too friend” Mizuki smiled. Ray thought his expression was cute.
“Let’s not hope, let’s make it true” Ray got up and gave him a piece of paper, with her information on it.
