I hope you still waiting for this fic to be continued. So, this is the new chapter. Sorry if it’s too short. I’ll update it later.
CHAPTER 15
~Yuu~
During the game, I look at the bench and Mario is already there, so I guess Kai is already hospitalized. I can see Maio give a strange glace at me. His eyes just lke pointing to a direction of the tribune. I follow his eyes direction to the spectators.
BADUMMM BBADUMM BADDUMMM
My heart starts beating fast, so fast. NYAN NYAN??? She’s here??
“Hey hey, dude! Focus!” Jurina suddenly appears in front of me. I quickly get focus on the game again. I do my best for this game, somehow it’s so hard to play the game without Kai here. He’s a great player, but I exactly know even though he’s not here now, we have to win the game. We have to show him the medals.
Minutes later, I can’t believe that our score is equal. But, this time is our last chance to win the game. I have to shoot the ball. People in the whole hall hold their breath as I hold the ball and ready to shoot the ball.
“YUUU CHAAAANN!! I LOVE YOU!!!” I hear someone’s screaming.
I know exactly who is she. I take a glance at her, she gives me her best smile, the smile that I miss so much, she looks good today, looks so different than the last time we met. My heart starts to beat so fast. I reply her smile, then I turn my view to the ring again. I close my eyes, take a breath slowly then shoot the ball to the ring.
“POINTS!!” the referee shouts then he blow the whistle. Game is over, we win. The spectators start to cheers. Jurina runs toward me and hug me tight. We cheer for our victory. I take a glance again to the tribune, there I can see a beauty cheers at me.
I change my clothes and get out of the changing room. Mario appears in front of me, “Your…umm.. fiancee.. is waiting out there” he smirks at me.
“O-Oh? Souka.. okay thanks” I said nervously and walk away but he stops me by taps my shoulder.
“Care to explain me something?” he said.
“A-ah.. that one, umm..” I can’t think of anything.
“Dudes, I’m going to Rena-chan’s place first, let me know if you’re going to the hospital, okay!” Jurina walk across, interrupting us then he walks away. I bet he’s about to celebrate something there.
I pretend to go away and follow Jurina, forgetting the latest conversation with Mario.
“Hey hey! We’re not finished yet!” Mario said.
“*Sigh , fine, I’ll explain everything. But let me meet her first okay!” I promised him the he nods. I walk out of the hall and meet Nyan nyan there. The time when she saw me, she hug me so tight.
“Yuuchaaan!!” she calls my name near my neck while hugging me. “Congratulation!”
“Thank you..” then I release the hug, “Hey, why you didn’t tell me that you will come?”
“Humm.. I miss you so much, and you I couldn’t contact you lately, so I came here” she explains. I remember the last time she called me, I rejected it then we just sent email to each other in the next days.
“Souka… so how long will you here?” I ask her.
“Actually I want to be here for days or even months, hehe… But I think I will go back the day after tomorrow.”
“That’s so fast” I said.
“Yeah, so that’s why you have to take me hang out around the city tonight, okay?”
“Hmm.. fine. But, I have to go to the hospital fist. My friend got injured while the game just now. So I have to visit him”
“Humm, okay then. But accompany me to your house first, I want to visit your new house here and meet your parents, it’s been so long we haven’t met” she asked me.
“Sure, let’s go!”
I take Nyan nyan to my house, she meets my parents and they looks so happy to meet each other. I quickly go to sport hall again where Mario is. I meet him and as I promised, I tell him everything about the engagement, I also tell him that I’m about to decline it because I found Acchan, and Nyan nyan is more like a best friend to me now even though, yes I love her too.
“I don’t know if it’s wrong or not. But I also can’t hold my feeling for Acchan. I also love her…” I said to Mario while we’re walking to Rena’s café.
“Geez, this is so complicated. There’s nothing wrong with falling in love, Dude. Even though if you fall for two, three, or maybe a thousand girls. But the fact, we have to choose one of them so that no one’s get hurt” Mario tells me. “No, nothing’s wrong with falling in love. Don’t blame yourself for loving two persons in the same time.”
“Humm, thanks for understanding me” I smiles at him, lucky me to have a mature friend like him.
“So, are you really sure that you will decline the engagement?”
“Ahh, poor Haruna..” he teases me.
“Mou.. but I find that I love Acchan more than her” I said. “You’re the one who said that I have to choose one of them, right?”
“Okay, okay!”
“Oh, one more thing..” I stops him when we’re arrived in front of Rena’s café. “Don’t tell anyone about this, okay? Including Jurina and Kai too..”
“Fine..”
We get in the café and meet Jurina is having a good time with his older girlfriend Rena. After that we go to the hospital to visit Kai.

~Kai~
“There’s no serious wound, so don’t worry. The bump just made him shocked, he’s gonna be okay. Soon he’ll get his conciousness”
I heard someone’s talking, I still close my eyes. I try to remember what happened lately.
HEY? I FAINTED?? Geez, that’s so lame!
“I hope so, thanks doctor..” I heard a voice of another guy. I bet there’s a lot of people around.
Then, I feel something smooth and warm holding my hand. Still with eyes closed, I try to think and remember the feeling of this soft and warm thing in my hand. It’s her. I slowly open my eyes as my fingers slowly hold her hands in mine. She looks at me, I can see her teary eyes and she slowly show her smile.
“K-Kai??” she said, trembling.
“Hey..” I said in a very soft voice, still so weak.
“Oh my… thanks God, you’re back” she cups my cheek with his other hand. “Kai are you okay? How do you feel?”
“I’m all okay, it’s just a little bit hurt here” I raise my hand and touch a part of my head.
She touch it slowly, “I’ll call the doctor, okay?” then she get up from the bed and go out while a lot of people grins at me, they look so happy seeing me back.
“Yo! Do you know how long did you fainted?” a guy asks me, he’s my junior at school but he is one of the player in the basketball team.
“2 months!” another guy shouts at me.
“WHAT?!” I wide my eyes. “Really??” I look around the room and see a calendar. *Sigh, it’s the same month as the last time I remembered.
They laugh at me. “Hahaha, just kidding man! We glad you’re back. And….”
“And how about the game? We won it, right?” I ask the curiously.
“Umm,sorry Kai, actually… ” one of them speaks in low voice, he looks down and looks so sad.
“We won!!” someone appears in the door of the room. Everybody look at that person. He smiles widely while his hand shows us a gold medal.
“Jurina!!” I shout at him happily. “Whoaaa!!” He walks in, that time I realize that Yuu and Mario are behind him. The cheers are around the room. There are a lot of people in my room cheering our victory.
KNOCK KNOCK
“CAN YOU PLEASE BE QUIET?!!?!?!” a man appears in the door, followed by Atsuko. Everyone’s shuts their mouth and look at him.
“Oh, doctor! How are you?” Mario said innocently.
“Can you boys please get out of the room for a while? I need to examine Mr.Takahashi” the doctor said. Everyone is going out of the room while Yuu, Jurina, and Mario still inside.
“Omedetou,” Atsuko said walks in and smiles to Yuu. I can see she moves closer and I guess she’s about to kiss his cheek. The second when she’s about to kiss his cheek, the doctor shoot his lights to my eyes. Everything’s white. Ah, great.
“Everything is fine, Mr.Takahashi” the doctor turn off his lights, now I can see everything’s around clearly. “You can even go home as soon as you want” he smiles at me. I can see those 4 people around me are happy too.
After the doctor go out, everyone is going inside again and the room become so noisy. About an hour later, a lot of people are coming. I know them, they’re from my dad’s office. They come to visit me and make sure that I’m all okay. I bet Atsuko told Uncle Sae about this and he sent those people to go to the hospital. The room is become more full of people, but then my friends from the basketball team excused to go home since it’s already dark.

“You’re not going home?” Jurina asks Yuu when they’re about to leave the hospital.
“Uhm, no, just go ahead, I need to meet Acchan first” Yuu said.
“Oh, okay. See you” Jurina go with the others leave the hospital. Yuu sits down on a bench outside the room, waiting for Acchan, she went to the toilet earlier.
“Why did Nyan-nyan come so sudden?” Yuu thought while he sits there. “Wait, if Nyan-nyan is here, so.. I think it’s the right time for me to tell my parents about the engagement. Yeah, maybe this is a good chance for me to say it.”
“Hey you’re still here?” Acchan just back from the toilet.
Yuu stands up and face her. “Yes, I want to take you for dinner, would you?”
Acchan take a look at Kai’s room fo r a while the look at Yuu again. “I think we can go dinner later. I have to take care of Kai” Acchan said.
“Huh? But there are a lot of people there who can take care of him” Yuu said, pointing at the people inside the room, including some maids.
“Yeha, I know. But I’m pretty sure that I have to stay beside him. We can go later, okay?” Acchan smiles at him. “I suggest you to go home, you must be so tired after the game today. I want you to take some rest.”
Yuu looks down, a little disappointed, but he finally understands what Acchan mean. “Yeah, I shouldn’t be so egoist” he thought.
“Okay, then. I’m going home. Don’t forget to have a dinner, okay? I don’t expect you to get sick” Yuu said. Acchan nods. Then Yuu kiss her forehead and pats her head. “See ya”
The time when Yuu leave the hospital and Acchan is about to get in the room, a man come out.
“Mr.Takahashi wants to go home now. I guess he doesn’t feel comfortable to spend the night in the hospital” he said to Acchan.
“Right now?” Acchan said surprised.
“Yes, I’ll prepare the car” then the man leaves her.

“Tadaima!” Yuu said while he enters his house. He can feel the different atmosphere of the house, there’s more warmth there.
“Okaeri!” Haruna greets him. “Yuu-chan, I have a surprise for you, close your eyes!” she ask him to close his eyes. “Don’t peek in!” she shouts when Yuu tries to open his eye a bit.
“Sigh, alright then, I’ll close your eyes” Haruna move behind Yuu and close his eyes with her palms. She leads him to walk to the dining room.
“Tadaaa!!!” she cheers and open his eyes. There are a lot of foods on the table.
“Let’s have a dinner, my champion!” she smiles.
“You cooked it?” Yuu feels so hungry as he looks at the table, full of foods.
“Actually, your mom and the maid helped me to prepare it. I want a little celebration for our champion today”
“Whoa, thank you!!”
“Come on, let’s eat” Nyan Nyan pull a seat for Yuu and she sits beside him, meawhile Yuu’s parents come in and join them in the dining room.
“Mmm… so yummy!” Yuu’s dad said as he chews the food. Yuu can see the warmth and happiness around. Smiles are around. He feels so happy between these people.
“It it the right time?” Yuu thought, looking at his mom, dad, and Haruna having their dinner happily. They talk and laugh together. It seems like Yuu can’t bring himself to ruin this happiness. Finally, Yuu continue to eat and share the happiness with his parents and Haruna.
meanwhile…
“Why do you want to go home so early, you can stay in the hospital for a night and tomorrow you can leave” Acchan said, she sits beside him on the backseat of the car on their way home.
“Hmm, no. I don’t want to stay any longer in the hospital. Actually, I hate to be there”
“Eh?” Acchan look at him. “Why? Are you scared of needle? Doctor? Or… ghost?” Acchan teases him.
Kai chuckled. “Naah, Takahashi doesn’t scared of anything.”
“So what’s that?” Acchan is being more curious.
Kai spacing out, his face becomes serious. “That place reminds me of every bad things that happened in my life.. I always think about my parents when I was there. Being hospitalized makes me think that I’m getting closer to death…” Kai said, looking down. Suddenly he feels something wraps around his body. Acchan hugs him tight.
“Don’t say that again.. You make me feel the same way” Acchan said, leaning her head on Kai’s chest.
That time Kai realizes that Acchan has the same situation with him, he feel so guilty of what he just said.
“I’m sorry..” he moves his hand and caressing her head, feel the warmth of her body on his embrace. Long in silence, Kai realize that Acchan is falling asleep on his chest.
