They did not pretend one guy was an imaginary bowling ball and the others were pins and they all fell over? and ran off skipping in unison? This from Jim Rome lol.

Damn, I was hoping for Argentina to win today. But that's what you get when you decide to try and just maintain possession throughout the 2nd half, it happened to Iran when they played Mexico, it happened to Japan when they played Australia. Fair play to Germany for showing more creativity in the 2nd half. I would expect a Germany v Italy semi-final then, which should be a good game. Would love to know what the cause of the fight was, certainly got Heize wound up.

Pekerman also led to Argentina's demise, with some choice substitutions. I mean, you pick Cruz over Messi?!

After Germany - Argentina game I've now chosen Germany as my favorite team in this tournament. England(?) should be a piece of cake and hopefully they could beat France in the finals.
coot is ctz

Argentina didn't deserve a loss, especially not a loss like that. The subs were understandable, I suppose. Riquelme isn't needed if you don't want to score any more goals and just wanna focus on keeping possession. Thought the Cruz-over-Messi move was somewhat dodgy. I did think the sub keeper was weak, in the shootout. Still a bummer the way they lost. Grats to Germany, I suppose. ._.

Italy played a good game against Ukraine. No chance, 3 behind the net, nice first goal.

editus maximus : I do question that one ballack dive decision though. That should've been a yellow, it was pretty obvious.

No Messi for the whole game, talking about bad luck with the keeper situation. Sometimes, I don't get FIFA rules. their rules are @$@$ed up. Don't count as a sub when someone is Injured, sheesh

Then people would just pretend to be injured so they wouldn't be counted as a sub. The FIFA rules are fine. It encourages tactical planning.

Man, the matches are getting boring because all the teams are playing way too carefully. Germany vs. Argentina was boring as hell before Argentina scored and England vs. Portugal is following the same script. I gotta admit that Ukraine vs. Italy was surprisingly entertaining. Too bad wrong team won :P
