Why do people like her? I think there's probably different answers to that depending on whoever you ask.
Obviously she's
cute. Kind of childlike. Not really sexual to me, not that I'm saying I wouldn't like to be her boyfriend or whatever. But to me she is more cute and cuddly than anything.
She's
funny. Even though I don't understand a word she says she makes me smile quite alot when I see her in a video or picture. That's charisma and entertainment I guess. It doesn't mean she's stupid, I can't say how intelligent she is but she does like to put on an act and wants to please, to entertain. In another culture or time I wonder if she might have been a comedienne.
Related to the last point - she has
personality. How many female celebrities who started as models can you say have any kind of personality? Probably not many. Beyond the cute looks she isn't boring. Blogs will go out of fashion, her looks will change...but she does have a lively [maybe inquisitive] personality.
She likes
80s pop music - well that's good too. She likes some decent pop music then.
She's
very active - blogging, singles, TV appearances. She takes decent photos of herself quite often too. Some might see this as self obsession but it is kind of modern. And as she is very cute and funny this is actually good - because it means we get to see alot of her.
The weird angle I think is overplayed. Her attraction is that she is actually quite normal (not an aloof star but almost the girl next door -
someone who people can relate to) yet charismatic. The cat sucking and sniffing stuff I think isn't that important and maybe helped to get her noticed more initially but is a more a party trick which I guess will be dropped eventually.
