omg it's june already!!! and my outline for my supposedly new fanfic for this month now has 44 words so far! hahaha! i'm hopeless.. T^T i guess the story of my other two fave couples can wait for another month or two maybe? lol
anyways, i never thought i'd enjoy writing this zenpen so much.. thanks to all my readers especially to the atsumina shippers! i'm really happy you guys like it.. so bear with me a little more for i guess their complete story will take longer to finish compare to my previous one

When the Time Stops
Chapter 9It's the first day of our school trip and all the students are already gathered outside the school waiting for their class to complete. Each class has their own bus, so then I proceed to our designated one.
"Takamina over here!" Kojiharu called me the moment I entered our class bus.
"Hey, can you please sit next to me?" She asked.
"Eh? How about Yuko?" I didn't expect she'd be requesting that to me.
"That's exactly my reason.. I want to play my PSP on our way and I'm sure I won't be able to do that if Yuko's beside me."
Our bus is three-seater on its right and two-seater on the left. Kojiharu sits next to the right side window, then I took the seat on the middle. A few minutes later, Yuko arrived.
"Takamina! Why are you sitting on my spot?" Yuko yelled at me.
"Yuuchan, I asked her to sit here."
"Eh?! But why, Nyannyan? Don't you want me to sit beside you?"
"I just bought a new game and I don't want to be disturbed playing it. And besides I already agreed to sleep beside you later! So you choose... bus or hotel?"
"Can I have both?" Yuko pleads.
"Not possible." But Kojiharu just ignored her and continued to play her PSP.
Yuko sadly sits down beside me and put her earphones on. Great, so I'm now in the middle of an awkward situation. My phone beeped, I read the message.
To: Minami
Our bus is already on the way.
How are you?
From: Atsuko
To: Atsuko
I'm stuck in between Yuko and Kojiharu.
Their silence gives off a weird feeling.
From: Minami
To: Minami
Haha.. that's funny, I can imagine.
Too bad, I'm not there.
From: Atsuko
To: Atsuko
Yeah, I really hope you're here.
Save me!!!

Just bear with them a little more..
We'll soon see each other later after the day trip.

Aaahhh!!! I can't wait for later to come. I'm so excited to be with her already.
We arrived at our first destination, the Kyoto prefecture. This place is known of their many shinto shrines and buddhist temples. I pulled out my notes and took down some historical points.
"Takamina! Take a picture of me and Nyannyan!" Yuko called and gave me her camera.
Since when did I become these two's chaperon anyway?!
"Make sure to capture that red shrine as our background." Yuko commanded.
"Which one?! Yuko, all the shrines here are red!"
"Ah, whatever.. just take a picture already!!!"
So I'm also now their official photographer? I envy these two. Since not all classes have the same schedule per destination, Atsuko and I can't see this beautiful place together. Lucky them.
At last the first day trip has ended and we just arrived at the hotel. It's a japanese style and I share the same room with Kojiharu and Yuko. And since there is no schedule after this, we're now free to do anything. I immediately freshen up myself and change my clothes. I went down the hotel and saw Atsuko already waiting there outside for me. She's not also wearing her uniform. Oh my, she looks so good on her feminine casual clothes. She saw me coming and waved her hand.
"Hi, Atsuko. Sorry if I kept you waiting." I said as I went closer to her.
"Daijou~bu. I just arrived here, too."
"So, where are we going now?" I asked.
"No idea.. but they say this place is also beautiful at night. Let's go?" She offered her hand.
Should I hold her hand again? I look around. What if the other students see us? Atsuko noticed my hesitation.
"Let's hold hands so that no one will get lost tonight." She giggled. This girl... no human can possibly resist her charm. And so I reached for her hand.
We walked around holding each other hands, heading nowhere in particular. Well, I don't care as long as I'm with her. This so much better than the day trip. We went out for some evening sight-seeing. Our hotel is just few steps way from the Kyoto station. Surprisingly, it has a modern architectural design in contrast to their old structures we saw earlier. We also watched a musical fountain show near the area. We felt hungry, so then we eat in a yakiniku restaurant. We had conversations while we're grilling the meat until they're well done.
"So, how's the student council?" Atsuko asked.
"Well, my duties level up a little since I'm the 2nd year representative now." I responded.
"Did you really want that responsibility they put on you?"
"Honestly, not so much at first. I can't believe they picked me just because I got a perfect score in the entrance exam."
Atsuko paused like there's something going on her mind. She flips the meat placed on the grill.
"I've been wanting to ask this for a long time already..." She said.
"How did you do that?"
"Did what? Perfecting the exam? I only answered all the items."
"Uhm, nothing else happened that day?"
I wonder why she's asking about that. And now that I think of it...
"Ah, I remember I had a seatmate who left her pencil so I lent her mine. And the funny thing is, I didn't know that I forgot to bring a spare! So I just waited for her to finish and return my pencil." I laughed.
"You're an idiot, Minami! What if that girl didn't return your pencil on time!"
Woah... why is she suddenly shouting at me!?
"I don't know, I never thought about it. Maybe it's destiny after all... I mean, maybe I was destined to get in and become a student of this school."
Atsuko showed me her bright smile and then answered.
"Yeah... Destiny it is..."
We went out the restaurant after we finished dinner. We're on our way back to the hotel when sudden droplets of rain fell down. We don't have an umbrella so we find a shelter to stay under. We sit down on something while we're waiting for the rain to stop.
I noticed Atsuko's shaking, both our clothes are drenched. I remember yesterday when I was shaking, she clasp her fingers with mine. But I guess that wont help in her situation now. I need to do something because it's getting even colder. I pulled her closer to me and wrapped my arms around her. She was startled, I think I surprised her with my actions.
"I-Im sorry, I just thought you feel cold because you're shaking." I'm about to let go of her but she went even closer.
"Yeah.. it helps. Thanks.. hmm.. you're warm, Minami.." She whispered. It feels so good to feel her this close to me.
It's been almost an hour but the rain isn't still stopping. I thought the forecast said there's only 20% chance of rainfall today. I tried to look for my phone but I guess I left it in our hotel room. The thunder started striking and the raindrops got even heavier. Atsuko suddenly grabbed my shirt and buried her face into my chest, my arms still locked on her.
"Atsuko?"
I think she's afraid of lightning. My poor angel. So I hugged her tighter.
"Don't be afraid." I said to make her feel safe.
"I'm here to protect you."
She then looked up at me. Did I say something wrong again? But I didn't say that just that to look cool on her. Atsuko's staring straight into my eyes. Oh no... her face is so near... and she's getting even nearer... then her lips... God I want to kiss those again... I started to panic so I immediately face away from her.
"A-Actually before Shinoda-san left, she told me to take care of you." I blurted out.
"Oh... I see..." She looked away and didn't speak again.

"There you are! Takamina! Aachan! We've been looking all over for you guys." It's Yuko who saw us, she's with Kojiharu and Tomochin.
"Aachan, when Yuko and Kojiharu said Takamina is missing, they also looked for you. I told them you're also gone, so we assumed that you're together." Tomochin said.
"You guys are soaking wet! Here, we brought umbrellas. Let's go back to the hotel before our teachers found out that we're still here outside this late." Kojiharu gave us the umbrellas.
Atsuko and I then let go of each other, we came with our friends back to our hotel. We part ways when we arrived at the hotel's lobby. The three of us entered our room and prepared to sleep.
"Nyannyan, can I share same futon with you?" Yuko asked as she lays down on our middle.
"Yuuchan, I believe you have your own futon. I'm tired. Just sleep already, okay?" Kojiharu turned away from her and went to sleep. Poor Yuko.
"Yuko, just be contented. At least you'll be able to sleep next to the person you like." I told her but she's still sulking over Kojiharu.
Before I go to sleep, I received a text message from Atsuko.
To: Minami
Still awake?
Just want to thank you for earlier.
From: Atsuko
To: Atsuko
Yes, but I'm about to sleep.
Doitashimashite.
From: Minami
To: Minami
Ne, just want to ask. Do you only take care of me now because Mariko-senpai told you so?
Or just because of your duty as a student council member?
From: Atsuko
I was surprised with her last message. I want to tell her ofcourse it's not only because of that! But I don't know how to put my feelings into words. How can I explain this to her? If I won't answer her question, then I will just let her misunderstand everything. So then I started to write down my response.
I took a deep sigh. Click. Sent.
To: Atsuko
Neither. It's because... You're important to me.
