OTL (long period request/birthday)
“Do you want to go on a date with me?” Matsui Jurina smiled.
“No!”
“Please Paru!” Jurina moaned.
“No! Only Yui.” Paru, Shimazaki Haruka, commanded.
“It’s my birthday!” Jurina argued.
“Still… only Yui.” Paru quipped, walking away.
Jurina pursed her lips, watching the woman walking away. Her thoughts drew to the fact that at least one date with the salty woman would be appreciative for everything. Looking upon the ground, she released a sigh when the general manager approached her with a smirk. Yokoyama Yui’s slight head movement brought a stare from Jurina.
“I told her… let you have the date.” Yui rolled her eyes. “She isn’t used to having dates outside of me and maybe Mayu although they are quite friendly.”
“Why?” Jurina tilted her head.
“Because I know you would do well with her. She maybe moody and act salty but you guys can talk out things that have been on your mind. There is one particular thing…” Yui explained with a growing smile.
“That event…” Jurina thought. “I’ll ask her again.”
Yui nodded quickly as the younger female ran to the dressing room with Paru laying upon the couch, staring up at the ceiling. The words written upon her lips brought Paru into the sitting position and walked out of the room. Jurina trailed behind with the concept of asking Paru from behind although not drawing the fact of Yui was peeking out from the door when she turned back.
“Yui said…” Jurina started.
“I know what she said.” Paru groaned. “She owes me for this one favor. It isn’t I’m not happy about it, it’s just… Yui usually isn’t this open about it.”
“I see… how about we just have lunch? It wouldn’t take too much of your time right?” Jurina suggested as Paru walked to the door.
“Fine.” She turned and sighed.
During the time in AKB, she found a fellow janken winner to only deny people at most although in business, she was aware of what she did. Yui had been the only one to get to her on any level although it was also through Yui, she found many clues into Paru’s life. She had a possessive side that was easily shown through her jealousy. Being in team K, Jurina had seen the times where Yui had to go out of her way to explain herself about her relationship with a handful of others.
She knew of Rie being the helpful older member get her adjusted to Tokyo life. Rie was a kind, gentle soul with a huge heart and having Yui around showed that as she got to learn more about adapting to AKB. Paru, being of the same generation as Yui, showed it quickly how much she had grown to like her. Yui was the diligent type to get to where she was but having to watch Paru in her state brought alertness throughout her thoughts.
Then, it was the transfer to Osaka where Jurina saw the most change in her personality. Shy and reserved turned into a powerful, spirted woman. The bigger aspect was the new, found friendship with Sayaka, who in most cases was gentle and admitted her flaws. NMB saw the change with Jurina observing it had brought a new page but the old bookmark, stamping upon the woman.
“Where are you taking me?” Paru grunted.
“To your favorite restaurant, right here.” Jurina pointed.
“It isn’t…” Paru hissed.
Jurina heard of it and had tried it prior upon a day off. She knew a bit about it but it was probably something Yui had done. Pursing her lips, she gripped the handle to the door, opening it for her Paru. “Please come in.”
“Fine.” Paru growled.
Jurina closed her eyes briefly upon being guided to the table to be seated. Her birthday wish was to sit with Paru personally although it hadn’t been horrifying enough with Yui’s permission aside. It required such things for Paru to go along, not knowing the consequences were seemingly dire to head straight for doom. She took a deep breath and glanced at the menu. “You want cake and tea?”
“It doesn’t matter.” Paru sighed.
“I’ll order.” Jurina smiled, avoiding the direct salty treatment.
The meal set was simple with the green oolong mix with the sweet butter cake. Jurina felt the aching to lighten up the mood with something but her ace was known not to work with the woman and stared directly down upon the tablecloth. “I always thought it’d be fun to have a date with you. At least having the courage was enough to do so.”
“So you got your wish.” Paru spat.
She nodded. Jurina tore the mental thought she would be in a better mood. Yui would have been laughing at her for trying but the words lingered as she remembered them. “What’s on your mind?”
“Just wanting to have this over with.” Paru answered with her sharp tongue.
“It’ll be but Yui told me something was on your mind.” Jurina spoke, observing the change in her expression.
“Yui… what else was there about you?” Paru moaned.
“I see. I’m going to the bathroom.” Jurina excused herself from the table and marched to the bathroom, sliding into the stall.
Letting out the heavy sigh, Jurina didn’t want it to end as much as begin it in any way to the point of Paru’s demeanor. Begging brought out the worst possible outcome and now facing it she wanted to understand Paru as much as anybody but she had the thought in her head about that night she announced she was being in SKE full time. Sasshi’s news wasn’t ridding the obvious decision she had made and with Rena’s departure.
She rolled out a wad of toilet paper and patted her eyes quickly before facing the mirror above the sink. Jurina, in her determination, rarely forgot what had happened from her start in AKB to now. It was the fun ride however she wasn’t feeling comfortable with the new setup. She had everything riding upon her shoulders now even further, walking back to take her seat.
“I wanted this because I never did have a private outing with you.” Jurina began her explanation. “I know Yui is your one and only so it isn’t taking her away but to find out more about you. Obviously, we can have this and you can have Yui back to further your relationship. That’s what I want to say.”
Jurina saw her eyes turn away. “I heard you mumbling in the bathroom.”
“Oh?” Jurina raised her eyebrows.
“You were saying how much SKE meant to you. That’s really what was on my mind because Yui had been quiet since inheriting Takahashi’s job. I wanted to understand why you felt like her.” Paru breathed. “It was enlightening that I paid for our order.”
“You didn’t have to do that.” Jurina frowned.
“I rather and did it to go. I got my answer so it was a nice date.” Paru forced a smile.
“I see.” Jurina nodded. “I’ll leave my meal to Yui.”
“I guess…” Paru shrugged, letting the younger female walk out into the streets.
The first light caught her attention as Yui walked up with a smile. “That’s the real deal.”
“I thought it would be nice but…” Jurina paused. “Something is more related to you.”
“Understood. See you later. Have a nice trip back to Sakae.” Yui waved as Jurina exhaled into the cool air for the next bullet train back to home.
