Here's chapter 25A...Enjoy!

Chapter 25A

3 days has passed since Acchan's 2nd audition. All of them has been practicing together at the music room everyday
during lunch time and after their club session. Today is finally the day for the basketball team to have their first Inter-high match.

At AKIBA ACADEMY CLASS 2-4 HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION

"Ohayo!" Jun greeted.

" Jun! Looking good!" Riku said and hi-five with Jun.

"Of course...We have been waiting for this day..." Jun said.

"Great...We will definitely win!" Kai said.

"Good luck guys..." Rie said.

"Kitahara...You coming later?" Jun asked.

"No...I have practice after school..." Rie said.

"Do we have practice after school? Yuko asked.

"I remember Yuko said she doesn't have practice today..." Acchan said.

"I mean SELF PRACTICE! I am going to do self practice..." Rie said.

"You have a match tomorrow so don't overwork yourself..." Kuu said.

"Arigato...All the best later!" Rie said and went back to her seat.

The guys knew the reason, she doesn't want to go see Rinnosuke.

"Atsuko...Will you be coming later?" Kai asked.

"Of course! I am Akiba basketball team no.1 fan! Remember?" Acchan said.

"Of course! I am Kai's no.1 lover! Remember?" Riku tried to imitate Acchan in a exaggerated way.

"Hey!" Kai and Acchan retorted.

"Ding dong"

"Sensei is coming...Catch up later..." Kai said and went back to his seat.

All of them went back to their seats and sat through their lessons.

"Ding dong"

"Finally! Let's go!" Kai said as he stood up and went out of the classroom.

"Osuuu!" Kuu and the others said and followed Kai.

"Basketball club! Fight on!"

"All the best!"

Their classmates cheered them on. Acchan, Yuki and Yuko also followed them to the basketball court as that is the
meeting place for the team players and supporters. After that, they board the bus and head to the stadium.

Kai and the others remained silence throughout the bus trip as they are trying to prepare themselves. Acchan, Yuki and
Yuko took another bus for the supporters.

"I'm so nervous..." Yuko said.

"Me too...This is my first time seeing a basketball match..." Yuki said.

"Acchan...What's wrong?" Yuko asked as she noticed Acchan is not saying anything.

"Huh..Nothing...Why?" Acchan asked.

"Acchan...Did you give it to Kai?" Yuki asked.

"What? Give what?" Yuko asked.

"Not yet...I didn't get the chance to give it to him..." Acchan said sadly and took out the lucky charm she made
for Kai and showed the girls.

"Don't worry...You can always give it to him later.." Yuki said.

"Yeah right..." Acchan said with a smile.

"Ahh...Is that the stadium?" Yuko asked.

"Hai...We are arriving soon..." Acchan replied.

OUTSIDE AKIBAHARA SPORTS STADIUM

Finally, they reached the stadium and got down from the bus one by one.

"Acchan! Kai's over there! Go now before they leave!" Yuko said as she points at Kai.

"Gambate Acchan!" Yuki said.

"Hai..." Acchan said and walked over to Kai with the lucky charm.

"Pak"

Somebody bumped into Acchan and she accidentally dropped the lucky charm.

"Itaiii..." Acchan said.

"Opps! Gomen..." Rinnosuke said.

"Isn't this Maeda san?...Long time no see..." Yuichi said.

"Kai! It's them..." Sae said and points at Rinnosuke and Yuichi.

"What are they doing to Atsuko...Let's go take a look..." Kai said and ran towards Acchan. The others followed him.

"There's something underneath my shoes?" Rinnosuke said and lift up his feet to check.

Rinnosuke lifted up his shoes and saw Acchan's lucky charm underneath. Acchan quickly pick up the lucky charm and
tried to clean the dirt off. Seeing that, Yuko and Yuki quickly walked over to Acchan.

"What should I do...It won't get off..." Acchan said and teared.

"Opps...Gomen...I didn't mean to step on it..." Rinnosuke said.

"Sashi! What have you done to Atsuko!" Kai said angrily.

"Kai...I..." Acchan said.

"We didn't do anything...It's just a small accident..." Yuichi said.

"What do you mean by small accident? Acchan is crying!" Sae said angrily.

"Acchan are you alright?" Yuko asked.

"The charm..." Acchan said.

"It's really a accident...I don't mean to step on her charm..." Rinnosuke said in a irritated tone.

"Acchan...Is this very important?" Jun asked.

"It's for Kai...Now its covered with dirt..." Acchan said sadly.

"For Takahashi? You still need to rely on this useless crap? Looks like Akiba is going to be like this charm...
Lose like dirt...Hahahaha!" Rinnosuke said and laughed.

"What did you say!" Riku said agitatedly.

"Rinnosuke don't go overboard...Let's go." Yuichi said and went into the stadium.

"See you later! Losers!" Rinnosuke said and followed Yuichi.

"They are so mean...Acchan please don't cry..." Yuki said and wiped the tears off from Acchan's cheeks.

"What are you guys doing there! We are going in now!" Akimoto shouted.

"Give us a minute Sensei!" Kai shouted.

Kai took the charm over from Acchan's hands.

"Kai...Don't take this...It's dirty..." Acchan said sadly.

"Then all the more I should take it! This charm will remind me no matter how bad the situation is,
I always have you by my side..." Kai said and kissed Acchan's hands.

"......" Acchan blushed.

"Woah...Breakthrough finally!" Riku cheered.

"Aww...So sweet!" Yuko said.

"Acchan! Don't worry! We are here to win!" Jun said.

"I believe they will definitely win..." Yuki said.

"We will show them who is the real dirt here." Kuu said.

"Arigato Atsuko! Make sure you watch closely to our match! We will definitely win!" Kai said and ran to join
the other club members.

"See you later Yuko!" Riku said and ran after Kai.

"Let's go!" Kuu and Jun said and ran after Kai.

"Go in and sit first...Don't over strain yourself..." Sae said to Yuki.

"Gambate ne!" Yuki said.

"I will definitely win! Watch me!" Sae said while he pats Yuki's head. After that, he ran after the others.

AT AKIBAHARA SPORTS STADIUM

Both academy players are resting at their own control room, waiting for their match to begin. Their coaches had a final
run down with them before they leave for the match.

"Remember! Control your temper and you will be able to get a good tempo! Always look around and know where your team is...
Most importantly, communicate!" Akimoto said.

"Osuu!"

"Are you ready to go?" Akimoto asked.

"Hai!"

Meanwhile, at Nogizaka Academy...

"I want you guys to act accordingly to Sashihara and Yokoyama! I'm counting on you guys..." The coach said and looked at
Rinnosuke and Yuichi.

"Just go for their weakness I told you guys before...They will definitely by trashed by us!" Rinnosuke said.

"Hai!"

"Let's win this! Nogizaka Academy!" Yuichi shouted.

"HAI!"

The supporters sat down at the audience seat area are getting excited as the match is about to begin. Finally, the time has come
and the teams started to enter the court to do their warming up.

"Ahhhh! Riku-nyan! Riku-nyan!" Yuko shouted once she saw Riku enter the court. Riku waved at Yuko.

"Yuko...Stay calm! Everybody is looking at us..." Acchan said.

"I don't care! Supporters are meant to do this!" Yuko retorted.

"Well...At least do that when the match starts?" Yuki said.

"Mohhh! Acchan and Yuki are too quiet! You should join me in supporting them..." Yuko pouted.

"Them? I only hear you cheer for Riku..." Acchan said.

"Hehehe...Cheering for Riku means cheering for everyone too!" Yuko said.

"Giggles" Acchan and Yuki laughed at Yuko.

"BEEEP!"

"Hey look! It's about to start!" Yuko said and pointed at the referees who have entered the court with a basketball.

As usual, the Akiba 5 are the starters for the game. Kai lead his team mates to do their cheer.

"Akiba Academy! Are you ready!" Kai shouted.

"Yossha ikuzo!! AKIBAAA ACADEMY!!"

Rinnosuke and Yuichi are also part of the starters in Nogizaka Academy. Yuichi lead their shout out.

"It's showtime! Let's show them who we are! Nogizaka Academy ikuzo!" Yuichi shouted.

"WIN WIN WIN! ALL WE DO IS WIN! NOGIZAKA ACADEMY!"

Standing on the same court, the startup players are all ready to start the face off. Sae and Rinnosuke will be jumper for their team.

"Loser..." Rinnosuke said to Sae.

"We shall see..." Sae said and focused on the ball on the referees hands.

"BEEP"

With everyone in position, the referee start off with the ball tossed in the air.

As soon as the ball is tossed up, Sae and Rinnosuke waited for the best time to jump for the ball.

"Yuichi!" Rinnosuke shouted and passed the ball to Yuichi.

"Sae! Fall back and defend!" Kai shouted as he saw Sae lost the jump to get the starting ball.

The Akiba 5 quickly got into their defending position. Yuichi is amazed that they have improved so much.

"Everyone! Let's reorganize and get this point first..." Yuichi said as he did some hand signals to Rinnosuke.

As the Nogizaka players re-adjust their position, Rinnosuke found a good spot to score the first point.

"Here!" Rinnosuke shouted as he ran towards a unmanned corner.

"Take down the first point! Go Rinnosuke!" Yuichi said and passed the ball to Rinnosuke.

"JUN!" Kai shouted.

Hearing that, Jun made a fast break away from his friends and ran as fast as he could.

"Not so fast! Score the first point Jun!" Sae said as he snatched away Nogizaka's ball when it was about to be passed to
Rinnosuke. Sae then passed the ball to Jun.

Dribbling the ball with him, Jun is about to reach his opponent's basket. Because of his fast break, the Nogizaka players
was not able to go back to defend in time.

"AHHH...GO IN!" Jun said and scored.

"YAY! One more time! One more time!" The Akiba supporters cheered when the ball went in.

"Damn! Almost..." Rinnosuke reprimanded himself.

"It's ok...Just give them a little treat first...We will pay back starting from now!" Yuichi said.

However, things were not going to the way Rinnosuke and Yuichi expected to be. Halfway into through the match, Akiba is
now leading Nogizaka 26 points with the score of 48 : 22.

"Beep"

"Half time!" The referee said.

Both teams quickly went back to their coach for further instructions and to rest.

"Good! Stay calm and play by ear! Do not get agitated by what they say and do...Just keep this pace!" Akimoto said.

"Hai!"

"Can you guys still fight on?" Akimoto asked.

Kai looked at his buddies and they nodded.

"Yes Akimoto Sensei...Please let us continue the match till the end! Onegaishimasu!" Kai said and bowed to Akimoto with his friends.

"Good! Have a good rest now...Show Sashihara and Yokoyama that you are not what you used to be!" Akimoto said.

"HAI!"

Meanwhile at Nogizaka...

"WHAT IS GOING ON? Didn't you say that no.4 (Jun)  can only shoot on the right side and no.8 (Riku) is bad at getting rebounds?
Do you know they actually scored the most points since half time?" Nogizaka coach shouted angrily at Rinnosuke and Yuichi.

"Sensei! It is just their scheme! Don't be lead by them!" Rinnosuke said.

"Enough of your nonesense! With this score now you think I still want to continue taking advise from you? We will now reorganize the
play with the formation I am going to tell you!" Nogizaka coach said.

"No Sensei! As long we just concentrate to attack like before...They will definitely lose as their stamina is bad!" Yuichi exclaimed.

"Stop it! Their stamina is bad? They have not been subsitute out even once! I don't want to take the risk so now, listen to my instructions
or you get out from the game!" Nogizaka coach said.

"Why can't you understand! We are the ones playing there not you!" Rinnosuke rebuked.

"Hey Sashihara! Don't talk to Sensei that way..."

"Yokoyama...Just follow what Sensei wants us to do...We can't afford to lose here..."

"Hey! You guys don't know anything! Get lost!" Rinnosuke said.

"Who are you to tell us what we need to do!" Yuichi said.

"How come you say that! We are a team!"

"I had enough of you 2...Just because you are better than us, doesn't mean you are the best!"

"What did you say! You losers!" Rinnosuke said and grabbed one of his team mate's jersey.

"Enough! Sashihara and Yokoyama, I'm taking you 2 out from this match..." Nogizaka coach said.

"Are you stupid? Taking us out, we will definitely lose!" Rinnosuke retorted.

"Our play is perfect! What is the reason that you want both of us out?" Yuichi asked.

"No team work and too full of yourself! Nogizaka don't need players who can't work and communicate with others!
THIS IS MY TEAM! You play it my way! Now go sit at the bench and reflect upon your actions!" Nogizaka coach said.

"You will regret it..." Rinnosuke said and walked out of the court with Yuichi.

"Hey! I said to the bench! Where are you 2 going!" Nogizaka coach shouted.

Kai and the Akiba club members looked on. Akimoto signed and shook his head as the scene reminds him one year ago.

"They are still the same...It's really a pity...They really have great skills..." Akimoto said.

"Sensei..." Kai called out.

"Instead of blaming others, you all chose to work harder than anyone else to polish up your skills because you are willing to
acknowledge your weakness... You guys really deserves to win this...Get in there now!" Akimoto said.

"Hai!"

"Beep!"

The referee blew the whistle and both teams quickly got into court in their positions. The rest of the game continued without
Rinnosuke and Yuichi. Without the 2 of them, Nogizaka is losing more points and was not able to stop the Akiba 5's reign on the game.

"Beep!"

"73 : 31. Akiba Academy win!" the referee said.

The Akiba supports led out a thunderous cheer to celebrate their school's basketball club's win. Kai and his club members were
overjoyed and group hugged each other. Acchan, Yuki and Yuko were crying tears of joy while they looked on.

"Damn!" Rinnosuke shouted in the control room when he heard the announcement and the cheers.

"We should be the ones who should win!" Yuichi said and cried.

After that, the Akiba players went back to the control room for their debrief while the Nogizaka just left the stadium without Rinnosuke
and Yuichi as they were too bitter to conduct any debrief.

"Knock"

- Door open -

Rinnosuke and Yuichi looked at the entrance and saw Kai and Akimoto.

"What do you want? Akiba's control room is over there!" Yuichi said and points to the room opposite their school's.

"I have something to say to you..." Kai said.

"What do you want to say? Congratulations on losing?" Rinnosuke said agitatedly.

"No! I just want to say..Gomenasai!" Kai said and bowed to Rinnosuke and Yuichi.

"What do you mean by this? We don't need your pity!" Yuichi said.

"No! Don't misunderstand me...I just feel that I owe Sashi and Yuichi this apology since 1 year ago...I failed badly as the captain
and was not able to face you guys after what happened...I was weak and I chose to run away...I'm really sorry!" Kai said and
bowed to them again.

"Are you here to give us a hearing?" Rinnosuke asked as he looks at Akimoto.

"I always thought that Yokoyama being the point guard and Sashihara being the center is the best combination Akiba ever had.
But today, your actions proved me wrong. Basketball is a team effort, but I only see the 2 of you playing against our team..."
Akimoto said.

"We don't need a team! We can do it by ourselves to win!" Rinnosuke shouted.

"Don't be naive! Without a team, how are you suppose to play in Inter-high...Basketball is a 5 man sports not 2 man...Remember!
You are able to come here because of your team, not because you are in the team...Even for me, I am nothing without the team...
I am here because the team needs me...If you don't change your attitude, you will not win any games..." Akimoto said and left
the room with Kai.

"Damn! Whats the use of telling us now!" Rinnosuke cried out.

"Why didn't you say anything then...Damn!" Yuichi said and started to cry.

Kai and the others meet up with the girls after their dismissal and went back to school to continue practice for Acchan's competition.

AT THE MUSIC ROOM

Not wanting to lose any practicing time, Kai and the others came back to school right after their match. However, Kai noticed
the girls seems to be looking out of sort.

"Did something happened during the match?" Kai asked as he prepare the keyboard.

"Huh?" Yuko said.

"Yuko...You are not happy for our win? Or are you tired? Maybe you should go back and rest...Tomorrow you have a match..."
Riku said and caress Yuko's head.

"Riku, why don't you send her back? I can handle here..." Kuu said.

"No...I'm fine...It's just that..." Yuko said and looked at Acchan.

"Atsuko, what's wrong? You are not feeling well?" Kai asked worriedly.

"I'm just...Don't know what should I do and how to tell you guys..." Acchan said.

"It's too sudden...Acchan is worried and don't know what to do..." Yuki said.

"Just let us know and see if we can help...What is it?" Sae asked.

"Just say it Acchan...We definitely can solve it together..." Jun said.

"Atsuko...Is it about the competition? Did they make changes to the theme?" Kai asked.

"Wow Kai! You really know everything about Acchan..." Yuko said.

"So it's really about the competition...We still have time...We definitely can make the changes together if we start now..." Kai said.

"It's impossible...Time is too short and I can't think of anything now...They just informed me through text messages that they are
increasing the difficulty level to perform 2 originals..." Acchan said.

"Serious? Same theme?" Sae asked.

"They are adding another theme...So Acchan have to prepare another original song..." Yuki said.

"Are they serious? They should have pointed it out long ago..." Jun said.

"Hmm...What's the theme? Something different from 'Friendship'?" Sae asked.

"They are expanding it from 'Friendship'...So the 2nd theme is 'Graduation'..." Yuki said.

"Wow...That's tough..." Kuu said.

They sat down to think together as they no longer have the mood to practice after knowing that they have to perform 2 songs
and is lacking of 1 now.

"Graduation? Does it have to be new?" Kai asked.

"Of course it has to be new and not heard by anybody before...What are you talking about!" Riku said.

"I mean if nobody heard it before and only just us...It's acceptable?" Kai asked.

"Hai...As long its a original song and nobody else heard before..." Acchan said.

"AHHH! I get it Kai! Are you talking about that song?" Jun said.

"What song?" Yuki asked.

"Hahaha! I remembered! It's a song Acchan composed after seeing the actions we always do and she named it after that..." Sae said.

"Yeah! Why didn't I think of that, we were made to play with her almost everyday to perfect the tune!" Riku said.

"......" Acchan is thinking hard.

"What is it! What is it!" Yuko asked.

The guys looked at each other and high fived each other. Acchan straight away remembered the song upon seeing the guys action.

"High five? That's a rather unqiue name..." Yuki said.

"No! It's Give Me Five!" Acchan and the guys shouted.

"Hahahahaha"

"Why didn't I think of that?" Acchan asked herself excitedly.

"Like I told you...You can always count on us..." Kai said and smiled.

"Us? Are you sure using us is the correct word?" Kuu asked.

"Shut it!" Kai said and kicked Kuu.

"When did you wrote that song?" Yuki asked.

"During our final year at middle school, even through we will still go into the same high school...I still think, graduating is a sad thing...
so I cried..." Acchan said shyly.

"I told her we should celebrate it instead, we will still be friends even if we graduated...So to cheer this silly girl up...We high fived each
other and did a silly dance..." Kai said and laughed.

"How is it like Riku-nyan?" Yuko asked.

"ROCK!" Riku said.

"Kyaaa! This is so exciting! Riku is going to be so cool rocking that guitar!" Yuko said.

"No...It's not totally rock...It's just a faster pace song...That's all..." Kuu said.

"I wonder if I can keep up..." Yuki said worriedly.

"Don't worry...You can definitely do it...I will always be there for you..." Sae said and smiled at Yuki.

The others looked at Sae and Yuki after hearing what Sae said.

"Yucks...Sae's is getting disgusting nowadays..." Kuu said.

"What! What did I do?" Sae retorted.

"I agree..." Kai said.

"Sae needs to go for a check up...I'm worried about your health..." Jun said.

"I think I can no longer recognize him..." Riku said.

"Just what are you talking about!" Sae shouted.

"I can't believe you can easily say out those mushy words to Yuki..." Kuu said.

"Not too long ago THIS GUY still comments how scare he is...Now look at how confident he is now, saying those words without
fidgeting...Yuki, are you sure about Sae?" Kai asked.

"There's a sudden rise in your sweetness level...I am worried about your blood sugar so you better go have a check up.." Jun said.

"Nonesense! I am perfectly fine!" Sae rebuked.

"You are like a walking sugar cube...I really can't recognize you..." Riku said.

"Whats that! I still looks the same! I did not change my shape!" Sae said agitatedly.

"Hahahahaha"

"So all agreeable to use this song?" Kai asked.

"Let's hear it! Let's hear it!" Yuko said excitedly.

"I have no objections...Can we have a demo?" Yuki asked.

"Do you guys still remember the lyrics and tune?" Acchan asked.

"Of course! We played it for almost a year to help you perfect the song..." Jun said.

"So shall we?" Sae asked.

"Let's rock it on!" Riku shouted.

"GIVE ME FIVE!" Acchan and the guys shouted and played the song.

After their demo, Yuko and Yuki tried to join in while trying to learn by singing and playing. They have lots of fun singing that
song and it was not as difficult as they thought it would be. They practiced for 2 hours before they head home.

THE NEXT DAY

They attended all their classes except Yuko and Rie as their Inter-high match starts earlier than the basketball club.

- Lunch time -

"Stupid schedule...How come the volleyball team can have such a early match slot..." Riku grumbled.

"You are jealous that they can skip their classes?" Jun asked.

"Of course not! I can't go support Yuko because of this stupid schedule! Grrrrrr..." Riku retorted.

"You sound just like Yuko...Perfect couple..." Kuu said.

"Even if their schedule is not set this way, we can't go support them at all...We have practice this afternoon..." Kai said.

"I know..." Riku said sadly.

"Don't tell me you actually wanted to skip practice to support them..." Acchan said.

"Riku you are so daring...If you do that, Yuko sure will be so happy..." Yuki said.

The guys stared at Riku, giving him the 'Don't you dare skip our practice look" which gives Riku the chills in his spine.

"NO! At least let me have lunch with Yuko! Argh! I miss her so much!" Riku shouted.

"Gross..." Kuu said.

"Just go skip practice...We are fine without you..." Jun said.

"Daring...I believe you would definitely skip for Yuko..." Sae said.

"I am disappointed with you Riku..." Kai said.

"Hey! I won't skip practice! Can't I even grumble?" Riku retorted.

"Did you record it?" Yuki asked.

"Yes...Loud and clear! Sent!" Acchan said.

"Ringggggg"

Riku took out his cellphone and answered the call.

"Mos..." Riku said but was interrupted.

"RIKU-NYAN! I MISS YOU TOO! DON'T YOU SKIP YOUR PRACTICE! DON'T LOOK AT OTHER GIRLS WHEN I AM NOT AROUND!
WAIT FOR ME AND I WILL COME BACK TO SCHOOL AS SOON I'M DONE HERE!" Yuko shouted.

"Hey Yuko chan...It's time to gather...What are you doing?" Rie asked.

"Gimme me a second...I still have something to talk to Riku-nyan!" Yuko said.

"Ok! Times up! Let's go..." Rena said and drag Yuko.

"So fast! I haven't say anything yet!" Yuko retorted.

"Your time is up when you talked to us..." Rena said.

"Sorry, we are in a hurry...Await our good news!" Rie said as she snatched Yuko's cellphone.

"Do...Do...Do..."

"Is that Yuko?" Yuki asked.

"......" Riku nodded.

"What did she say?" Acchan asked.

"Looking at his face...Yuko must have asked for a break up..." Kuu said.

"NO!!!! She's been kidnapped!" Riku shouted.

"Somebody would actually do that?" Jun asked.

Hey! What is that supposed to mean!" Riku retorted.

"Kidnapped? Are you serious?" Kai asked, giving Riku a face of doubt.

"Do you know the kidnappers?" Jun asked.

"Matsui Senpai and Kitahara!" Riku shouted.

"What? That's not kidnap!" Acchan said.

"They took away our precious time! They snatched Yuko from me!" Riku said.

"Hey...Let's go back to class...I want to study the music scores..." Kai said and left.

"Let's go..." Sae said and together with the others, they followed Kai.

"You bunch of heartless people! Can't you at least console me! Hey! Wait for me!" Riku said and chased after them.

After school, the guys went for their practice. Acchan and Yuki went to the music room to practice on their own while
waiting for them to finish their practice to join them.

AT THE MUSIC ROOM

Acchan and Yuki are having a short break after 1 hour of practice.

"(Cough)..."

"Yukirin...Are you ok?" Acchan asked.

"Gomen...I choked myself accidently when I swallowed too fast..." Yuki said while holding a bottle of water.

"Let's stop for today shall we? I will text Kai to let him know..." Acchan said as she felt that Yuki might be tired since they
practice everyday.

"No! I'm really fine...Don't worry about me and if I really don't feel well, I will let you know..." Yuki said.

"Promise?" Acchan asked.

"Promise...Sae would definitely be angry with me if I over strain myself..." Yuki said.

"True...You have a knight with you now...(giggles)" Acchan said.

"Mohhh..." Yuki said and blushed.

At AKIBA ACADEMY BASKETBALL COURT

Meanwhile, the basketball members are having their breaks too.

"The girls are back!"

"I think someone is injuried..."

"Who?"

Kai and his friends were sitting at the bench resting. They stood up when they heard their club members conversation.
Just then, the volleygirls walked into court except for 3.

"Where is Yuko?" Riku asked his basketball club members.

"I'm not sure...But I saw her and another 2 girls went to the nurse office..."

"Yeah...Heard one of the volleygirls had a sprained ankle.. .What a pity...Even through they won the first match..."

"To get an injury at the start of their first match...How is she going to play for the rest of the match..."

"SERIOUS?" Riku asked agitatedly.

"Riku...You better go take a look...We still have 10 minutes break time left...I will let Sensei know if you are late..." Kai said.

"Why don't you bring Dr Matsui with you? Maybe he can help out..." Kuu said.

"Sure...I will see what I can do..." Jun said.

"Arigato...Let's go now..." Riku said and ran as fast as he could with Jun.

"Hope everything is ok..." Sae said.

AT THE NURSE OFFICE

Girls crying voices can be heard along the hallway to the nurse office.

"It must have hurt badly! What should I do if its Yuko?" Riku asked.

"Don't panic...Let's go in and see first..." Jun said.

Riku and Jun entered the nurse office and saw Yuko crying loudly.

"Yuko! Are you alright? Are you in great pain? Where is the injury?" Riku asked as she examined Yuko to check for visible injury.

"Riku-nyan! It's not me...(sniff) It's Rena san...She can't continue to play with us anymore..." Yuko said and hugged Riku.

"You really freaked me out! I'm glad you are ok..." Riku said.

"Stop it Yuko chan! (sniff) You are not the one who should be crying!" Rie cried out.

"Senpai...Are you alright?" Jun asked as he saw the ice packs on Rena's right ankle.

"It's...just a light sprain...I am fine...They are...exaggerating things..." Rena said and forced a smile.

Not believing what Rena said, Jun examined Rena's swollen leg.

"What did nurse Sensei said?" Jun asked.

"I will be fine after a few days rest...I...I..." Rena said but was interrupted.

"Rena Senpai can't continue playing for a while...Nurse Sensei asked Senpai to resign from the games..." Rie said sadly.

"What? Serious?" Riku asked.

"It's my fault...I accidentally knocked into Rena san when I tried to hit the loose ball...It's my fault! I failed as a libero..."
Yuko cried out.

"Don't say that Yuko chan...Like you said, it's an accident...So don't be sad anymore..." Rena said while trying to hold
back her tears.

"But it's your last Inter-high! I should have been the 1 who is injuried...Not Rena san..." Yuko cried out.

"What should we do without Rena Senpai...What should we do..." Rie cried out.

Rena is fidgeting. Jun realized Rena is trying hard not to lose control of her emotions.

"Riku...Why don't you bring Yuko and Kitahara outside...Let them calm themselves down..." Jun said.

"Ok...Yuko and Kitahara...Let's go outside and let Senpai rest..." Riku said and led the 2 sad girls outside.

"Senpai...They have left...You don't have to hold back anymore..." Jun said as he looked at Rena.

"I'm really fine...I'm...not holding back anything...Jun kun...Don't you have practice? You should go back now...
I am fine here...I am..." Rena said with a forced smile.

Seeing that, Jun hugged Rena's head towards his chest.

"Senpai...Nobody will see or hear you if I do this...Just treat me as a pillow...I will not say a word..." Jun said.

Rena could no longer hold her emotion and started to cry.

"Why must this happen now? We just had a good start and why did it end up this way? Why...." Rena cried out.

After a while, Rena felt so much better.

"Arigato Jun kun...I am ok now...You should head back to practice...Sensei will be mad if you skip his practice..."
Rena said as she pull herself away from Jun's hug.

"Senpai...I still have 3 minutes left...I will stay here for another 2 minutes and use the last minute to run back to the
basketball court..." Jun said as he points at the clock inside the nurse office.

"Arigato..." Rena said and smiled at Jun.

"Senpai...Do you still want to continue playing?" Jun asked seriously.

"Even if I want to...Its over for me..." Rena said sadly.

"No. There is still a chance...If you are willing to take the risk..." Jun said.

"As long as I can play and I don't want any regrets...I'm willing to take the risk...What do I have to do?" Rena asked.
After what Jun said, her eyes are now beaming with hope.

"You just have wrap up your ankle correctly to compress the pain and you must not over strain yourself..." Jun said.

"Wrap it up correctly? How do I do that?" Rena asked.

"I can help you but on 1 condition..." Jun said.

"What is the condition?" Rena asked seriously.

"Until the next match...You are not to do any running or practicing..." Jun said.

"Ok...Anything else?" Rena asked.

"Just do your best..." Jun said with a smile.

Rena and Jun looked at each other and smiled. Rena then realized that she has something which she has been wanting to tell Jun.

"Actually Jun kun, I...." Rena said halfway but was interrupted.

"JUN! LET'S GO BACK!" Riku shouted.

"Just nice...1 minute left...Gomen Senpai, I have to rush back for practice...Let me know when is your next match and take care!"
Jun said and ran out the nurse office. Together with Riku, they dashed back to the basketball court.

Yuko and Rie then walked into the nurse office after the guys left.

"Rena san? Are you ok?" Yuko asked as Rena is hiding herself under the blanket.

"Rena Senpai? Are you in pain? Should I go get nurse Sensei?" Rie asked as she tried to pull the blanket off Rena.

"Rena san? Rena san? Moshi moshi?" Yuko called out.

Rena did not respond to their calls as she is angry with someone.

"Baka Riku...Why are you always interrupting?" Rena said in her mind.

Chapter 26A

1 week has passed since then. The basketball team managed to fight into the top 6 in their region after winning 4 more games.
The volleyball team also managed to get into top 8 after winning 2 more games. Today, both clubs are given a break from their practice.

- After school -

"ARGH...." Kuu said as he stretched.

"Finally...End of classes and no club practice..." Jun said.

"Gomen...You guys must be tired but still have to practice with me..." Acchan said.

"Not at all! We are having fun doing it together..." Kai said with a smile.

"Are you sure? But last night you said that..." Yuki said halfway but was silence by Kai's killer stares.

"Hey! I saw that! What's with that look you have? Don't you bully Yuki..." Sae said.

"Woo~ Sae is so protective! Don't be afraid Yuki! So...What did Kai say! What did Kai say!" Yuko said excitedly.

"My brains cells are dying? I can't do this anymore?" Acchan asked.

"Acchan! How did you know that?" Yuki asked as she is amazed.

"Kai always says that when he is really tired..." Sae said.

"Maybe we should rest for today..." Acchan nodded and said.

"NO! I am not tired at all!" Kai retorted.

"You don't have to force yourself...I know how to play keyboard...I can handle it..." Kuu said.

"NOOOOO! Don't take away my job! Concentrate on yours!" Kai said.

"Awww...Kai is so adorable..." Yuko said as she looked at Kai.

"Hey! Yuko! Look here! Don't look elsewhere! Your man is here!" Riku retorted.

"Aww...Riku-nyan is jealous? Kawaiiiii..." Yuko said and hugged Riku.

"Not again...When will this stop...Can we see something else?" Kuu asked.

"Hahaha...Let's just go to the music room and stop wasting time..." Jun said and carried his bag.

"Good idea! Let's go..." Kai said and followed Jun.

"Sure you don't need to get some rest?" Acchan asked Kai.

"I'm really fine! The competition is this week...We have to practice as much as we can so don't worry about me ok?"
Kai said as he pats Acchan's head.

"......" Acchan nodded as she blushed.

"Yuki...Are you tired?" Sae asked.

"I'm fine...Why?" Yuki asked.

"No...I'm just worried that you might have over strained yourself with all the practices..." Sae said.

"Don't worry...I will definitely ask for a break if I need one..." Yuki said with a smile.

"Good to hear that...Don't hesitate in letting me know ok?" Sae said.

"Hai..." Yuki said.

They then left the classroom and went to the music room.

AT THE MUSIC ROOM

- 1 hour later -

"Argh! I'm so thirsty...I'm heading to the canteen...Drinks anyone?" Kuu asked.

"I'm coming with you...I want to get something to eat..." Jun said.

"Knock knock"

"Who is it?" Sae asked.

"No idea...Please come in...It's not locked..." Kai said.

"Sorry for the intrusion..."

The music room door opened and they saw Rena outside the music room.

"Rena san!" Yuko said.

"I'm here to deliver some refreshments..." Rena said and lifted up bags full of drinks and snacks.

"Wow...Senpai you came at the right time..." Kuu said and quickly ran over to Rena to help carry the bags.

"Senpai...How did you know we are here?" Jun asked.

"Yuko chan told me...So I thought of dropping by to take a look..." Rena said.

"Hehehe...Rena chan asked me so I told her...Is it ok?" Yuko asked.

"Whats the point of asking it now when you already told Senpai..." Kai said.

"Hey! Don't be mean to Yuko...It doesn't kill to let 1 or 2 more people know..." Riku said.

"Arigato Riku-nyan~ Daisuki..." Yuko said and kissed Riku's cheek.

"Argh...Godness sake...Please don't make me waste the food I am eating..." Kuu said.

"Kuu...Even so, we have to carry on eating! It's their scheme to make us lose appetite so that they can eat more!" Jun said.

"Tsk...Yuko...They have found out our plans...We have less 2 onigiri to eat..." Riku said.

"Let's think of something else then Riku-nyan..." Yuko said seriously.

"No wonder I have been eating less whenever I am with them...Arigato Yuko and Riku...You helped me succeed in my diet plans..."
Acchan said cheekyly.

"Atsuko...Are you serious? I thought you actually gained weight..." Kai teased.

"Hey! You must be blinded by basketball...Thats why everything you see is round!" Acchan retorted.

"Yuki..Please don't go on a diet...I like the way you are..." Sae said and smiled at Yuki.

"Tsk...Sae is getting stronger each day with his sweet talks..." Riku said.

"Even if I want, Oka san won't let me...So don't worry about me going on a diet..." Yuki said.

"That's good...You must take care of your health and eat more..." Jun said.

"Arigato Dr Matsui, we definitely will heed your advice..." Sae said.

"Do you guys do these funny talks everyday?" Rena asked and laughed out loud.

"Almost...Everyday..." Kai said.

"Senpai? Are you ok?" Jun asked.

"My tummy hurts but in a good way...It's been so long since I have a good laugh..." Rena said as she tried to control her laughter.

"Arigato Senpai...You bought so much for us..." Acchan said as she munch on the sandwich.

"So Senpai...You are here to look for Yuko or...." Kai asked as he look at Jun.

"I'm here to show my support for Yuko and also...to properly thank Jun kun for his help..." Rena said as she look at Jun.

Rena looks like she have something important to tell Jun, seeing that Kai decided to give them so privacy time.

"Ooooo...Gomen Senpai...Please excuse me...I need to go to the washroom..." Kai said as he signalled the others to leave the room
together. He then walked out of the room.

"Wait up...I'm going too..." Acchan said and followed Kai.

"Wait for me...Let's go together..." Riku said and left with Yuko.

"Yuki...Why don't we go out for a little walk as change of pace..." Sae said.

"Ok...Let's go..." Yuki said and followed Sae.

"Ahh! Come to think so it...I need to call my girlfriend...She asked me to call her after school...Please excuse me..."
Kuu said and act to make a phone call outside.

All of them left the room except Jun and Rena.

"I wonder what's wrong with them..." Rena said.

"Senpai...It's obvious that they wanted to give us some private time..." Jun said in his mind.

"Maybe I should leave...I might be hindering your practice..." Rena said.

"Not at all...They just happened to have something urgent to do I guess..." Jun said.

"Really?" Rena asked.

"Yupp...They always suddenly have something they forgot to do..." Jun said with a smile.

"Ne Jun kun...Arigato..." Rena said.

"Didn't you already thank me with these?" Jun said as he lift up the can of soda and a onigiri.

"These are for doing me a great favor in Inter-high...Without you, I might really have to resign from the matches and I would
really regret it for the rest of my life..." Rena said.

"Then you are thanking me for?" Jun asked.

"The things you did...for me before..." Rena said.

"Before? You mean the melon pan coin purse? Didn't Senpai already thank me?" Jun asked.

"Not that...Way before...Since 2 years ago..." Rena said.

Jun finally get what Rena meant, she is talking about the things he asked Sae to help him.

"So...You knew about them already...Sae told you?" Jun asked.

"Yes...I've been wanting to tell you but I didn't have the chance..." Rena said.

"Well...All these are the past...So let's not talk about them..." Jun said.

"It's not the past yet! To me, it's still the present! The way Jun kun cares for me and always looking out for me!" Rena retorted.

"Senpai...What's the use of saying it now...Didn't we agree, not to mention it anymore..." Jun said sadly.

"I know...But that is before I know the truth...Ever since I know what exactly happened between the 3 of us...I have been thinking
through again and again...The words Miyazawa kun said, my own feelings and...you..." Rena said.

"Come to think of it...I'm really stupid...So stupid that I have to get Sae to help me out..." Jun said.

Hearing that, Rena hugged Jun tightly. Jun was shocked by Rena's reaction.

"Baka! You should have fight for me! Why are you giving me away so easily! Am I not worth for you to fight for?" Rena cried out.

"Senpai...I..." Jun said.

"Why are you so nice to me but treat yourself so badly? Why are you willing to let others have something you like but got yourself hurt?
Why do I like you even when I told myself its impossible..." Rena cried out.

"Senpai...You like me?" Jun asked.

"I take back when I say I treat you like a little brother...I was just too comfortable being with you that I thought you are like a brother to me...
When I saw other girls talking to you...Talk about you...I just can't stand it...I like you! I like you! I like you Jun kun..." Rena cried out as she
released the hug.

"Really? Do you really mean it? Senpai...Even through I told myself to give up but I can't...I have always liked you...Even now...
I like you Senpai..." Jun said and wipe the tears from Rena's cheeks.

"Then why are you leaving...I thought you have given up on me..." Rena said.

"Leaving? What do you mean?" Jun asked.

"Medical Institute of America...Wasn't you going there to further your studies?" Rena asked.

"Who told you that?" Jun asked.

"I saw the files about this institute when I helped you picked them up...That time when I was in your
class during your free period..."Rena explained.

"That? It's a misunderstanding...That institute is for the medical students under my family's scholarship scheme...Every year I need
to help my Otou san looked at the different institutes and discuss which school should we sent the scholarship holders to..." Jun explained.

"So...I have mistaken? You won't be going there?" Rena asked.

"Even if I were to go medical school...I would opt for local colleage, so that I can still help out in my family business..." Jun said with a smile.

"Honto?" Rena asked.

"Hai...And after hearing you say you like me too...All the more I can't bring myself to go overseas, even if my parents wants me to..."
Jun said and hold Rena's hands.

"Yokata...Yokata...I always know there's something fishy with Rena san when she keep asking me about Jun!" Yuko said.

Jun and Rena was shocked to see the others standing outside the music room. They quickly move away from each other and act
as if nothing happened.

"We heard everything...No need to be shy..." Kuu said.

"What do you mean by everything?" Jun asked.

"From the point we went outside...We were always outside the music room..." Acchan said.

"You can't blame us...The door wasn't close and you didn't check the hallway before confessing to each other..." Kai said.

"AHHH! What should we do! Senpai! They heard everything!" Jun panicked as he looked at Rena.

"......" Rena is blushing.

"Obviously...Be responsible! Start dating already!" Riku said.

"Omedetou Jun and Rena Senpai..." Yuki said.

"Jun! Act fast! Don't let Rena san wait anymore!" Yuko said.

"Jun...You should know what to do...Don't miss this chance again and ask Senpai properly..." Sae said and pushed Jun to Rena.

Jun then walked towards Rena and hold her hands. Jun and Rena looked at each other as the blush heavily.

"Senpai...Will you be my girlfriend?" Jun asked.

"No..." Rena said.

"Huh..." Jun said, he was shocked that Rena would say no after she already told him her feelings.

"If you want to date me...You must stop calling me Senpai..." Rena said with a smile.

"What are you waiting for!" Riku said.

"Just call her name now!" Kai said.

"Re...na...Will you be my girlfriend?" Jun asked again, this time calling Rena by her name.

Without saying a word, Rena kissed Jun's cheeks as acknowledgement. The other cheered on loudly and were really happy for Jun.

"Ahem...May we have the 'NEWLY WEDS' to say a few words?" Kuu said.

"......" Jun and Rena is blushing.

"Hey! I was going to say that!" Yuko retorted.

"HAHAHAHA"

"Hey Kai...You are the last! You better work harder!" Sae teased.

"I thought we are talking about Jun and Senpai...Why did it become me again?" Kai asked.

"Maybe I should really consider other available choices..." Acchan said.

"THERE'S NO OTHER CHOICES! I am the ONE and ONLY choice left for you! Just wait till I win against Majisuka!" Kai said agitatedly.

"Kai...My turn to say...You are dooom!" Sae said.

"Looks like Acchan has you under her control fully...(giggles)" Yuki said.

"You eat too much katsudon...Thats why..." Kuu said.

"What has this got to do with katsudon!" Kai retorted.

Riku and Yuko looked at Kai, then they hugged each other.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean? SAY SOMETHING!" Kai retorted after seeing Riku and Yuko's reaction towards him.

"Kai...You are too loud..." Acchan said.

"What! It's too late for you to regret! Just wait and see...I will definitely win against Majisuka and those hands of yours...
I will definitely hold them tightly than anyone else!" Kai said.

"Awww...Kai is so bold!" Yuko said.

"Yuko is the bad influence...No doubt..." Kuu said.

"Hey! That is call being true! Being true to oneself! Not bad influence!" Riku retorted.

"Kyaaa! Riku-nyan!" Yuko said and jumped on Riku.

"Riku...I would suggest you have your back checked...Yuki jumps on you everyday...Someday, she might break your back..." Jun said.

"Dr Matsui is predicting the future of Riku..." Sae said.

"That sounds like a lot of pain...Riku please take care..." Yuki said.

"Luckily, Acchan don't do that..." Kai said.

"I don't do that because Kai is too short...I might jumped over him and land on the floor instead..." Acchan said.

"Hey!" Kai retorted

"Hahahahaha"

"I think we have rest enough...Shall we continue?" Kai asked.

"Yeah! Let's rock on!" Riku shouted.

"Kyaaaa...Riku-nyan!" Yuko said.

"Can I stay?" Rena asked.

"Of course Senpai...Please give us your opinion on our performance..." Acchan said.

They resumed their practice and played for 2 hours. After that, they went out for dinner together before they head home.
