^ As far as anyone knows so far, i-13 disbanded, the korean youth population didn't like them and saw them as Super Junior wannabes or a lame attempt at being a Morning Musume clone thing. =T
That and at the time they debuted it was during the time when guy groups were the most popular thing =T

Which is too bad, I liked their song one more time o(=A=)o

The Korean population also didn't like the fact that i-13 had really young members in it. They think 12-13 year olds should still be focusing on school and not worrying about showbiz. For those of you that do like i-13 though they're supposedly going to be making a come-back. This time with fewer members and some new members. Last rumor I heard was that there was going to be about 6 girls, and only 2 originals. They're going through a name change of course, and supposedly supposed to comback early-mid '08.

So I actually found some nice korean indie/rock stuff

http://www.youtube.com/user/orienkorean

this guy's youtube channel has a ton of videos.

The little I watched didn't really blow my mind or anything, but there's some nice stuff in there.

I recommend the band Beautiful Days. Really nice indie pop/rock. Probably the band that caught my eye the most so far.

watching a couple of the Brown Eyed Girls members fighting on the SGB Taeyeon and Sooyoung were on, I thought they were hilarious and I really liked the way GaIn sings so I looked for some songs. And I'm liking what I'm hearing from their second album and recent mini album. Besides singing well, GaIn has this cute charm about her that I'm liking. And it seems they're also performing on the Peace Concert here. :D

I wanted to mention the latest artist I'm checking out; Mighty Mouth. A hip-hop duo that recently exploded on the digital single scene, their single Love (ft. Yoon Eun Hye). Here's some Youtube vids to get all you people started...

Ignore the fact that the two rappers totally jacked their aesthetic from M-flo/Big Bang. The song is fresh and upbeat and 2/3 of the girls in the video are FINE.

To be honested I posted this up because I hope that somebody more in touch with Korean media could hook me up with some HD videos of their MV or their performances, haha.

Not pop/rock but since this sorta became the general k-music thread.

Just found out about the hip-hop duo Rhymebus. More my style hip-hop than what the more popular hip-hop artist in korea seem to make. Less poppy and more jazzy.

http://www.myspace.com/rhymebusmusic

here's a live of their song monologue with Jin Bora(who is pretty cute and fucking talented on the piano)

if anyone has got anything by them, it would be greatly appreciated. If I find something I guess I'll post it.

Instant Romantic Floor

myspace

Electronica/pop group, consisting of production work and vocals by Brown Bunny (Jeereen from Humming Urban Stereo), vocals by Sugar Flow, and rap by Yeslow

Basically Humming Urban Stereo with rapping, but still worth checking out I guess.
