Berryz Koubou's Maasa Sudo cast in "Light Novel" adaptation
Mon, October 12, 2009 (3:25am EDT)
Toru Honda's popular light novel series "Light Novel no Tanoshii Kakikata" is being turned into a live-action film next year, with Maasa Sudo (17) of Berryz Koubou playing the heroine role.

Published by GA Bunko, the novel series is a romantic comedy about a male high school student named Yakumo Atae, who knows that his classmate Tsurugi Yabusame is secretly a light novel author.

Sudo will play the part of Tsurugi. The rest of the cast, including the protagonist Yakumo, will be announced in the near future.

Just watched the "Thank you very berry" play yesterday, Maasa was doing a nice job

It's quite obvious why she was chosen for a movie.

My first ever pic of Maasa

I used to think she looked clumsy and stuff, but she's grown up to be quite pretty, and hasn't lost any of her fun personality, has she? I hope she has lots of success with her live action role

I love it when the underdogs get a chance to shine/surprise :3
