I saw DHG in the Replay Channel. He was playing as Makoto and fighting Juri. He lost the first round but came back big time to get a Perfect in the 2nd round. The offense he put on Juri was something else. And then he went on to win the match.
Earlier I was playing against someone who I met on SFIV a while back. Decent bloke, was kind enough to offer rematches and we were on the same skill level. Well I was the host of an endless battle lobby and I just, oh baby, I destroyed him.
In about 9 matches, I won 8, and I even fucked around with Chun-Li and Fei Long and still won. Well he backed out, sent him a message saying gg and what have you when I got an invite back from him. This time he was the host of the lobby, which I considered rather funny, thinking maybe he thought I won those matches cause of me being host. Anyway, 1 fight, me as Ryu, he was Juri and it went to the 2nd round and he was backed into a corner and just spamming away at Juri projectile attacks which I was either blocking or jumping over. Well I found my opportunity and jumped in with the HK into HP into EX Tatsumaki into the Metsu Hadoken and won that match. Dude immediately quit the game when we went out into the lobby. Never got a reply to my previous message or anything. Why do I get the feeling I won't hear from him again?
And in other news, I got up to C rank with Ryu
I'm definately in a better position than I was even a week ago. Now I'm linking combos together and defending more effectively. Still mostly losing games though
But I don't actually mind so much anymore. I only care when I lose to freaking cheap tactics. Like earlier, I was in the final round with an Ibuki player, hit her with the Ultra, just needed a few more hits, but then she lands a neckbreaker on me and knocks me down. Then follows it up with another one as I'm getting up. And does it again. And again to win the match. Ridiculous. How do you counter that shit? Shoryuken as I'm getting up?
