'somewhat' more complicated:

1) (alt)-printscreen, takes only the active windows
2) paste into paint
3) redraw the rectangle to only get what you need
4) ^X (cut)
5) ^N (new)
6) ^P (paste)
7) save as BMP
8- compress to JPG with some other program (at 95%), I use the old and trusty thumbplus I once bought.

A.f.a.i.k. paint is using 75% for JPG compression, that is not really usable
