The PS3's Blu-Ray doesn't burn. You can back it up though with the built-in utility. Generally it just saves on the PS3 hard drive, which is where you want it.

You get 5 downloads, which is probably more than the number of times you'll change hard drives.

Download a whack of demos from the PSN and see what it's capable of. Not quite free, but rent the Uncharted games when you get the chance.

copy mp3's, clips and photos over, through a USB or router.

I love playing SF4 while listening to my own selected tunes.
Clips are a little useless, since your PC should have codecs to play many more video file types. But streaming low-sized videos wirelessly with the help of TVersity is pretty cool when it works.
The photo slideshow options for PS3 is also pretty neat. So throw a bunch of pics in and let it whirl.

And when you get REALLY bored. You can start making your own wallpapers for it, like it was a PC. I do! :P

when connecting a PS3 headset and talk during online gaming, does everyone hear whatever you say?  I guess so cuz I always hear them automatically.  Is there a way where you can talk, or let only your friends listen without others listening on your conversation?

also, why doesn't the PS3 Slim save a network connection whenever you disconnect to connect to another network?  Or from Wireless to wired, then to wireless again?
I was hoping the PS3 could save multiple network connection and connects automatically whenever nearby.

whenever my wireless network is not fast enough (I'm looking to get a Dual-band Wireless-N router for better gaming and overall faster connection), I move it to a different place in the house, connect using a ethernet cable.  but whenever I disconnect it, I would have to re-connect to the network wirelessly, typing in the key everytime.  Don't know if it's just me cuz I'm still new to PS3, but is there a way around this? does anyone else find it annoying?

How do you do it ? I mean, is it possible only in Street Fighter 4 (in game option) or is it possible with any game, like the 360 ?

It's not just a SF4 option.
It depends on the game though. Only some games allow playing songs, while other games will say something like its not supported.
Don't know if there's a list on the net, listing games that support this. That would be helpful.

Steps are just the same as 360.
While in-game, press the PS button to open the menu, and just select a song from the Music list. Then it will play all songs found in the list continuously.

I think it depends on the game. In battlefield bad company 2, you can create squads with your friends and when using headsets you can only hear your friends. But Resistance 2 is a little different. You can hear anyone using a headset, but you can see who you're playing with and mute their headsets. So I suggest checking the options of your games.
By my knowledge, the ps3 can only save 1 network at a time. In order to connect to a different one, you have to set it up all over again. If you connect with a wire you first have to set the network up again in the network settings of your ps3 but you choose wired or something like that instead of wireless. The ps3 should remember that network, even if you disconnect it.

For the people that don't know about it yet, you guys should try out PS3 Media Server. It basically streams whatever media you have from whatever media device (e.g. your PC) to your PS3 if they are connected on the same network. You can basically go on your PS3's XMB screen and go to either Video, Music, or Photos section and browse the "PS3 Media Server" folder as if you were just browsing your PC's hard drive directly.

I just beat Heavy Rain last night. The game is great, the plot, one of the best I've seen, voice acting, etc.
I won't go into many details if noone else played or is at least interested in the game.

So anyone up for Heavy Rain ?

The story of Heavy Rain is very interesting... but all the interactions you must do in the game is not my type... I played the demo, so I know how the game works etc.
I really don't know, if I should buy it. XD But first: I must finish Final Fantasy XIII! o_O (stuck at Ch. 5...)

+1.
I died like 5 times fighting the first boss till I got through. I still have no idea what the right tactic for him was supposed to be.

use the right stick to dodge attacks and you have to use it a lot.

also try prevent urself from chaining those long ass special combos. they get stuck in a loop and u cant stop it sometimes.
