Oh man. Is it that good, for real? I haven't had the chance to see it yet and I was a little worried about it... but I've heard nothing but good things so far.

The other night I (finally) watched The Departed. It was really good, but long. And Jack Nicholson still rocks my face off and always will.

I watched Scream on Starz in demand today. The last time I saw it was years ago and it was just as good as I remembered. I definitely think it's one of the best teen slasher movies we've had in the past 15 years. I prefer the classics but it's one of the few "recent" slasher flicks that I actually enjoy.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I was a bit surprise because this movie wasn't a "Talk of the town" thing unlike Transformer. I guess it's because some of people already know what will happen after reading the book.

I finally watched Spidey 3. I must say this series still packs a punch. Good storyline and good direction makes a great part 3. However I did find the new "heroic" son of green goblin a bit too much to swallow as it smacks of blatant commercialism i.e. making James Franco the high point of the movie. Probably appeals to the teen girl target segment (don't forget Titanic!)

Syriana - 7/10

The overall story arc can go way above your head, but still manages to be watchable by focusing on numerous character stories and how they conflict with others.

Children Of Men - 10/10

Hardly ever been so involved in a movie. Everything about it is top quality, story, acting, action, twists, suspense, remorse, and best of all, almost convincingly realistic. The subject matter is rather poignant and mature, whilst being powerful and with hopes of better days.

HP OOTP

Liked it, but felt it was too short. Meaning many book parts missing.

Like (if i remember it right, cos it's so bloody long ago) i remember the endfight had the golden statues joining in, and i was hoping to see that. didn't happen.
Also, i the book talking a lot more about hagrid's trip, and a centaur teaching for a bit? (me going crazy???)
The book also showed Harry's angry/darker/dangerous side. Movie didn't show that enough.

Luna was the biggest suprise for me. I'd pictured her as a pale, tall, skinny and dorky girl with glasses. Turns out I really like her character in the movie.

In theatres: Sicko - 7/10

It was just one of those things that makes you go "Hmmm..."

At home: Full Metal Jacket - 10/10

This will eternally hold a spot in my Top 10 movies. I don't think I've ever properly mentioned how hot I am for R. Lee Ermey. One of my goals in life is to have his babies

If you haven't watched this movie, do so NOW! It's one of those movies everybody needs to see before they die.

Watchable, but that's all you can say

Slither - 5/10

Not quite as funny as I hoped and Nathan Fillion gets all the good lines.

The Simpsons Movie - 8/10

Very funny, but nothing groundbreaking. Just like a longer version of the show.
