Beowulf - 8/10

Better than I expected, though I realised why when I saw that Neil Gaiman co-wrote the script. Also Angelina Jolie nekkid?

Yes, DJ pointed the same out to me when we watched it.

Watched The Lost Boys last night, Dj has me hooked on it.

If you look on the credits for the film apparantly Happy Summer Wedding is also in there at some point, don't know of anyone who's managed to spot it though.

Last saw The Parent Trap (1998); that's right, the one with Lindsay Lohan in it.

Don't blame me though, my Dad put it on which is even worse...hey, I was eating my dinner at the time...

Not a milestone, but expecting the worst I was pleasantly surprised.

The Happening
First half was thrilling then it went downhill and I very much disliked Mark Wahlberg's character and his wife (forgot her name already)

Shoot Em' Up - 6/10

Uttery outrageous gunplay (there's a gunfight whilst the couple continue to have sex) but that's about the best thing of the movie. Oh and Monica Bellucci nekkid of course.

I can honestly say it is top 3 out of the worst movies I've seen EVER. It damn near ruined my Christmas, it's that horrible.

The 3rd Futurama film: Bender's game.

I liked it much better than the 2nd Futurama film, but it was nothing great either.

Gran Torino - 9/10
What would it be like to live next door to a retired Dirty Harry? It actually reminded me a lot of that King of the Hill episode where Kahn's family moved into the neighborhood, except Clint Eastwood is more like Kahn. Good stuff.

Seven Pounds - 8/10
Takes awhile to get going and is a bit predictable, but has good performances and a moving ending.

Appaloosa - 8/10
Good, decent western

Day the Earth Stood Still - 6/10
An easy paycheck for Keanu. The producers seemed more interested in filling it with flashy CGI and cliche gov't/mititary characters than with good story and character development. Considering what was at stake, James Hong's character should have played a bigger role. The ending is also too abrupt. Borrow it from a friend or catch it on cable if you want to see it. Or better yet, watch the original instead.

A Streetcar Named Desire, after reading the play by Tennessee Williams.
It's a great American classic, and the movie was superbly acted with Marlon Brando and Vivian Leigh.
Oh, effin' hate Stanley Kowalski. :p

Curse of the Golden Flower

Unlike most the reviews I've read, I thought this was a great movie. There might be few action scenes, but the story and complexity is great. Not to mention the awesome costumes and settings.

The story is as thin as in the first movie but I just can't bring myself to dislike it because I just

the amazing visuals.

Harry Potter 4
I didn't like it that much the first time I watched it on dvd, but now after some time passed and I caught it on tv I liked it better xD
