Rejuvenated Half-Face
homepage / myspace

Quirky indie rock with female vocals from Tokyo, Japan.

How's that for a great band name? :P On top of that, they kick serious ass.

BUMP

G-Ampere

I found this band a couple years ago but couldn't find anything besides the stuff on their site, but it seems they released a mini album early this year. It's pretty good from the previews on the site. They're like light pop-rock with some electronica elements.

I probaby still won't be able to find their stuff, but I can try right?
I can alteast let other people know about them. (Which then in turn makes it easier for me to find their stuff >_>)

One of my favorites is muramasa

skull candy seem pretty nice, thanks for that

There's Witchery Skank if you're into Skull Candy. More pop oriented, and has 2 vocalists. I always see them billed together, touring and stuff.

Oh, and an Uplift Spice video, cool. Is that a new song?

oh yeah, i like more female vocals than male ones.

muramasa is really cool, but i never heard an album of them, dunno exactly why. ^^'

witcherry skank isn't for me. those girls vocals aren't for my ears. ^^'

yep, that song is from their 3rd mini-album, rasen, released last month.
-----------------------------------------
more bands:

(talkin about two girls...)
midnightpumpkin (skacore)

gollbetty (skacore)

red bacteria vacuum (punk rock)

ketchup mania (pop punk)

okay, i have to admit that hiro's (ketchup vocalist) vocals are far worse than the witcherry girls.

and of course, the classic:

yum yum orange (skacore)

i listen to most of those bands, but i wouldnt really call them skacore... most are a lot more pop than punk. none of them are really all that obscure either.

ketchup mania's vocals make sayu sound like an angel, man XD

also, you check out oreskaband, tsutomo, if you dont already listen to them.

also do you have any uplift spice? theyre obscure for sure, can never find SHIT by them. all i have is shateki

BAZRA.

Not really obscure, but I haven't seen them mentioned around.
Here's their most recent album

(2007.04.11) フトサマス

They sound like Sambomaster, or close enough.

edit: Also,

FOOL&SCISSORS

Bought their first album a couple months ago. Pretty minimal and simple rock.

(2004.05.12) キモチハツタワル

They've since replaced their bassist, or she left the band, or something. I can't find much info aside from their website.

Funny thing is that Hiro's vocals don't bother me at all.  But I listen to ConCon Jump a lot without any problems, so that probably says something about me.  Definitely recommend them since they fit in with the other groups mentioned so far... provided you can take the vocals.

Also Arinco∞Gang and Bubblegum come to mind in that punk/pop-punk category.  Tokyo Pinsalocks in the more rock category.  Emmie the STRIPPER and Retro Honpo for ska.

And hey, I just noticed that Kiiiii never got mentioned here?  Unless I missed it.  Their Al & Bum from a couple months ago was amazingly fun.
