Spoilers!

yeah, smokie is the man in black/fake locke
hehe, they playing with our emotions killing Juliet 2ice =P

i believe because of the Hydrogen Bomb exploding, there are now 2 universes: one with the island destroyed and the crash never happening, and the current one now.  Eventually they will merge somehow later on.  We'll just have to wait for Faraday to come back and explain everything, cuz he's alive in that universe =P

People are saying Jacob is in Sayid now, just how Man in Black is in Jacob. But i don''t think so.

I'm kinda wondering about that Pirate girl who supposedly was on the Plane O815 but is now with the Other Others.  And also how Richard knows about Man in Black, and why Man in Black said "Richard, you look different without your chain's" or something.

^I thought the chains thing was because Jacob died, and Richard had been working for Jacob all this time. :/ Hence no more "chains"...

I think the chains thing is because Richard was a prisoner/slave on the Black Rock.

As for "just how Man in Black is in Jacob", I wouln't say he was "in" Jacob, I think it's more like the smoke monster can appear as different people so smokie probably met some guy called Jacob sometime in the past and is just using his appearance (that might also explain all the dead people that have appeared to various islanders).  Remember the smoke monster is appearing as Locke but he's not "in" Locke because we saw Locke's body on the beach.  Following that logic he can't be "in" Sayid because he'd have to create a seperate appearance of Sayid and not take over his body.

I'm wondering if it's not a parallel universe but a flash forward : the island will sink in the islanders timeline but it hasn't done it yet.  Maybe they activate the "reset" later on.  The bomb messed with the timeline but not in the way they expected.

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF??

Crazy. Confusing enough but then I think about Desmond in this alternate reality and wonder if he was really there or was he time travelling? :dizzy:

There are definitely 2 timelines running.  Everyone on the island is in the same year, finally.  And the "side flashes" are the crew in an alternate time line, where the plane never crashes AND a world where the island got nuked in the 70's, hence the island being at the bottom of the pacific.

my bad, i meant how MIB was in Locke, not Jacob =P typo. but yeah, i agree, it seems like smokie can change his appearance.

That flash forward idea is interesting. i didn't think of it that way.

CLAIRE!!  :frustrated:

Man, this is getting crazy. Some accuse this of being a filler episode but really, watching Josh Holloway bring his A-game to show Sawyer try to get over Juliet's death is still story development. I think people are more concerned about answering the supernatural questions about the show like the smoke monster and the island, but I think the producers are working at the characters story resolutions first and foremost. I just wish they'd stop giving these cryptic answers!!

"Why are you here?"
"You know why I'm here"

 :banghead:

Also, in the alternate story, did anyone else think the guy who helped Kate at the chop shop look familiar? I admit I was expecting the army guy who was with Sayid to show up, but nevertheless, he still does look familiar. Was he an other at any point, or has he ever been on the show?

Oh Christ it's happened again. I'm completely hooked. Last weeks episode has got me fussing over every detail and speculating where the plot will go from here. After last weeks episode I can only think why the smoke monster wants Sawyer

- [bgcolor=#000000]We have to assume that the smoke monster dude is just a very bad dude and that Jacob was the guardian of not just the island, but of the smoke monster. Smokie couldn't leave the island unless the guardian decides to give permission to leave the island, which Jacob was not prepared to do. And as Smokie couldn't kill him directly, he needed a loophole, Ben, someone who had the will and the motivation to kill Jacob. Now Smokie's trying to recruit one of the potential candidates, Sawyer, to accept the guardianship of the island, all the while giving Sawyer good reasons to choose to leave the island and thus making Smokie free. And it has to be of Sawyer's choosing, as that's one of the main themes of the show. But why the likes of Sawyer, Jack, Jin/Sun are suitable guardians? Who knows? Why would they even want to protect the island?[/bgcolor]

Another interesting thought about the sideflashes I read elsewhere

-
Quote
[bgcolor=#000000]I suspect it will be, and I strongly believe that the off-island stuff we're seeing is the natural conclusion to the character's storylines. This is what eventually happens to them once the island is moved at the end of season 6. That way they don't have to end the on-island story in, say, episode 12 or 13 and then spend 3 episodes tying up what happens next - we're seeing it now.[/bgcolor]

God I love Lost.

Woooooooo

Episode 6 was Amazing!!! Sayid is a Bawdman!

Someone had a theory with the season6 promo pic a few weeks ago.

On the left side, it could be the one team, and on the other side of Locke is the other.  The way its going, it seems to be  playing out. Notice how the left side is shaded (dark) with the trees, and the right side is sunny (Light).  But its gonna be messed up if Richard and the latin chick turn to the dark side =P

Looks like Episode 7 is about BEN!  My favorite character.

So who else was disappointed that James (Sawyer) in the alternate universe doesn't look like he will end up with Juliet? Strange though. James still wants to kill Sawyer yet, is it still Locke's dad? If I remember right, the Locke in the alternative universe didn't get paralysed because he got pushed out of a window by his dad, as he said he was on rather good terms with him. So if it's not the same person, who is Sawyer in this universe :dizzy:

re: sawyer and juilet, i think they will meet still.  I remember she said that line in the first episode when she was dying about meeting for coffee, "we can go dutch".  Sawyer was all "wtf are you talkin about?".  Foreshadowing baby!

overall, this lost season is, its good, but its not the best one.  I think i'm expecting too much still =)

I don't think it's the end of Sawyers story in the other timeline.  It just seemed unfinished unlike the alt timelines in the other episodes.

The recent episodes have been so awesome because the battle of good vs. evil is becoming more and more epic and OMG shit's gonna go down. I actually loved the stuff about the island being a cork that keeps evil out of the rest of the world. XD It would be fascinating to re-watch all of the series keeping that in mind, even if there were some moments when the writing was a bit hoobladoo.

I'm worried about Sun & Jin because I guess they aren't as "important" characters as, say, Jack and Kate. I'd still like to see Sun survive all of this but who knows? :/ She's my HBIC. I heard it's Sun & Jin's episode next week, I'm already shitting mah pants haha.

If true, then Jin and Sun just have to get reunited next week, they have to!

Richard's episode was fantastic. One thing struck me as being weird though. Jacob can't bring people back to life, but he can make someone immortal? Surely immortality is as impossible as resurrecting the dead? How can he do one but not the other? Also if Richard was Jacob's intermediate, then can anyone remember where Richard intervened and tried to save certain individuals and steer them on the right path? He probably has done, but I can't remember any clear examples.

Sun will get her shine =) no pun intended.  But yeah, she's a candidate, she has to be important.  Well, i'm predicting she is.

Sun/Jin are a bit of a mystery. Well for a start we don't know which one is a candidate, or both are in some way. Does Ji Yeon even play a part in the storyline? I assume that by not returning to the island with everyone else, then she's not integral to the storyline? It would be messed up if she was the candidate after all XD
