Aw dammit. The one time, in a long time that I as excited for a Heroes episode, only to find out that it won't be shown over here for a while yet. Shame. I've heard universal praise for it including good acting from Peter? That can't be right can it?

The first episode of the new batch didn't impress me too much, but the second has things finally getting interesting and was even ever so slightly coherent.

(BTW The aerial shot of costa verde is actually dana point california.)

So, Peter lost his powers, but then he stabbed himself with the formula.   I assume he has Rogue powers now, cuz he has to touch people to get em.  Or do you think that he got his dad's power, but just doesn't know it?

I'm actually glad they killed off Daphne.  I wasn't a big fan of her.  Plus, that relationship with Parkman was weird, like he could be her dad.  Parkman using his mind powers to kill soldiers was cool.

Haven't seen any of the new season yet, (starts on Mon here in the UK) but I read about the latest episode and fan reviews appear to be universal, it's one of the worst episodes ever

NBC: 'Heroes' will return next fall

NBC plans to bring back “Heroes” for another season, said entertainment president Angela Bromstad.

The action-drama’s ratings decline has caused some media reports to speculate as to whether the show will return next fall. As part of Hollywood Reporter’s annual Q&As with the five broadcast network chiefs, Bromstad was asked if “Heroes” could be considered “on the bubble” for a renewal. “No,” she said, and added that the network plans to order 18-20 episodes of the show for next season.

That's fewer hours than "Heroes" first (23) or current third season (25), with season two having been cut short due to the writers strike. For all its headline-making audience erosion, “Heroes” is still tied with NBC's “The Office” as the network’s top-rated series among adults 18-49 this season.

Also being factored: NBC's pilot project “Day One,” about a group of survivors in the wake of a catastrophic global event. If the serialized “Day One” goes to series, having an established sci-fi drama like “Heroes” could help the new show in a few ways, including possibly airing as part of the same Monday night block. "'Day One' is a big event and we're looking at that to come into the 'Heroes' spot," Bromstad said. "It's right now being looked at as a 13-episode run -- something people could commit to and we could make a big splash with."

If “Day One” does launch in the “Heroes” time period, “One” would get the advantage of its strong sci-fi-established slot for a number of weeks. With a slightly shorter episode order, “Heroes” can then continue its usual pattern of airing with few breaks by virtue of debuting later in the season. A second potential home for “Day One" is on Sundays, she said, where quasi-futuristic “Kings” will premiere March 15. Another point in “Heroes” favor is the show performs well internationally. Bromstad said she experienced the drama's global popularity first-hand in her previous NBC post, heading the network’s international efforts based in London.

"Every single place you go has heard about 'Heroes' -- whether you’re in China or Japan or Russia," she said. "And to me, that is global content." The network has privately discussed setting a series end date for "Heroes," which would followed the creative model used with critical success by ABC's “Lost,” Sci Fi's ”Battlestar Galactica” and FX's “The Shield.” But even if NBC ever made such a move, Bromstad said, they wouldn't want to make next season the conclusion.

"Heroes" fans aren't entirely in the clear yet: a renewal isn’t a deal until it’s a deal. If the show took a sudden dire ratings turn, the network still has time to reevaluate this strategy. But barring something dramatic happening, NBC is not deterred by the current ratings and will bring back "Heroes" for a fourth round.

Um..is anybody still watching?

Have to say the finale was the biggest letdown of all Heroes, and this from someone who liked S1's finale! No real drama, no tension, didn't care when Nathan died and plotlines still left wide out in the open (Is Hiro dead or what?). Plus, the whole 'let's turn Sylar into Nathan and hope no-one notices' plan kind of goes out the window once they see he can't fly! What's even worse is, they didn't give Nathan any of Claire's blood, blood which, as seen in S2, ressurects dead people!! :banghead: And what we wanted to see, a Sylar v Peter showdown becomes another huge letdown.

If it wasn't for Hayden, I'd given up a long time ago. Kill the cheerleader, kill the show :P

meh, they nerfed peter, Sylar would kill him easily.
I was kinda intrigued with the whole turn Sylar into Nathan.  It was something i didn't think about, so that was interesting.

Claire May Have a Lesbian Storyline on 'Heroes'

July 06, 2009 07:13:49 GMT

In the fourth season, the cheerleader is now a college student who shares more than just a room with her new friend. More and more spoilers are coming out for the fourth season of "Heroes", especially the ones circling Hayden Panettiere's character Claire Bennet. In a recent scoop, EW's Michael Ausiello gives a "that's true" to the question whether or not there will be a lesbian storyline for Claire and her new roommate. In the new season, Claire is graduated and heading to college. She will live with another girl named Annie which is played by "Days of Our Lives" actress Rachel Melvin. Words are, they will share more than just a room.

The hint about the same sex relationship made its round last month but it was never this close. "I'm not sure about a full-blown relationship, but I can confirm that the college roomies will engage in a little sapphic experimentation. At least that's the plan," Ausiello revealed.

"Heroes" will be back on NBC on Monday, September 21. Hayden Panettiere said that a new mysterious group will surface as opposite to The Company. "The next season of Heroes has a lot of characters that are coming in," she told MTV News. "There's something called The Carnival... which is kind of the opposite of what The Company was. There's a lot of new, cool characters."

I can see the boardroom meeting now:

"Ok so the criticims of late have largely focused on our unclear narrative, too many unnecessary plot points, Hiro/Ando being virtually useless, Claire constantly making dumb decisions and shifts in character behaviour that goes completely against what fans have come to expect. Now, how do we go about solving this"
"I know! Make Claire a lesbian!"

XD

Don't get me wrong though, this is actually the best decision the Heroes writers have made in the entire series

I hope the lesbian scene comes early, once it's done, I may just give up on Heroes altogether.

Heroes sucks, but why the hell do I continue to watch it.  Hiro has become a fucking joke, and not the potential bad ass of "future Hiro" as appearing in season 1.

This season isn't as bad as last season, but it's still lacking that special something. Hoping for a pick up and lots of hot hot Sylar-murdering-bitches action soon
