It seems some of you have missed the mention in a the "Replacements for Rapidshare" thread so I'll say it again:

Make your own account. People can download without an account. Password protect directories, etc. and well the good thing is:

I've been playing around with it in The Hello! Project Photobook Thread and uploaded Rika's Grad DVD and Viyuden DVD Pamphlet (that's 950 MB in 5 hours @ about 50 kbp/s) in THE RIVE and will begin archiving FLETS episodes in THE ASSHOLE.

The possibilties are endless. Sounds too good to be true I know. But, we can make a database of PVs, albums, TV shows, etc similar to what we've done in The PB Thread and sorta what we did for THE RIKA ISHIKAWA GRADUATION PROJECT. Except this time, no more "LINK IS DEAD" complaints!  

If you want to upload MP3's then you better ZIP or RAR them just in case.

Yeah. Here is some tips I learned: Don't DL other things while using this service cuz the DL speed will crap out. Example. DL from File Front and BT at the same time!!

Also. Resume makes the file useless. It calls up different servers at different times so resuming would make the file corrupt. I learned the hard way with Masa's BIG ASS Viyuden Pamphlet and a little 50 Cent trailer. Both fucked up when I resumed!

I still get around speeds of 50-60 KB/s even with my torrents on (though the once I have right now are kinda slow because of the seed - leecher ratio)

Anyway, I tried downloading 3 filefront files at the same time.  the last one I added gave me speeds of 3 KB/s so I just restarted it after the other 2 finished, well its back to 50-60 KB/s

So overall not so bad, my average wait time was less than 1 minute for each of the servers I tried.

Aha! I had the same problem than daigong. I was using BT and the d/l from FF was between 3kb and 4kb.... :evil:

Hm, filefront is giving me between 5KB/s and 120KB/s... waiting time on the servers is also up.

They might need to add servers...

Has anyone been able to get a decent speed off filefront in the last few days?  For me files download at around 1.5k/sec, sometimes the speed is too slow to measure.
Is there maybe a time of day when you get better speeds?
Last night when I went to bed I had to cancel a download (it'd done 17mb in FOUR FRIGGIN' HOURS!) because I wanted to shut my pc down and get a good nights sleep.

I find DLs from FF work better/best if I don't have any other DLs going (i.e.torrents, YSI, etc.).  Maybe that's part of the deal.  They also seem to DL faster if I just let them go and let my comp be "idle" for a while.  If I'm surfing or doing work it doesn't go as fast.

Bah, my line is constently at 60% (or higher) upload because of the BT's... can't really minimise that (yet, catching up on some Hello Mornings's )

But I am getting some speeds upto 75KB/s (or as low as 5KB/s), its more how the server is loaded it looks like, because the speed can fluctuate from 70 to 5 within the same download within a few minutes.

Some servers also do not answer at times, then when you take a different one its works.

I just started getting that error a few hours ago too.  Might be something wrong with their upload server at the moment.
