MY GOD! That took forever! I'm so slooooow  And for taking so long, it's not that lengthy of a chapter. I wonder where all of my inspiration went
The last spoiler is for the next chapter, btw. Enjoy
Hachi: Begin the New Year"It's almost New Years all ready, Reinana. Time is going by so fast." Rika said, smiling at the 17-year-old, who was excitedly looking out the window with a grin on her face.
"I love New Years!" Reina exclaimed as she tore her eyes away from the window and finally turned to look at Rika. "Even though shrines are always so crowded. Don't you like it too, Charmy?"
"Charmy's all ready gotten bored with everything. Try exciting her and you'll fail miserable, Tanakacchi." Hitomi said from the driver's seat, and Reina could practically feel the smirk across her lips.
"Keep quiet, Yossie." Rika said, narrowing her eyes at her pimp.
"Don't get feisty now," Kaori interrupted the two calmly. "That's Tsuji's job."
"Shut up..." The grumpy brunette grumbled, crossing her arms and slouching in her seat.
This is my chance... Reina thought as she leaned over so she could see her superior more clearly.
If I want to get close to her, this is the first step. "Tsuji..." Reina mumbled, all ready worrying about being rejected.
"Yeah, what?" Tsuji mumbled, looking at Reina with a cocked eyebrow.
"I-uh-I mean...when we get to the hotel, do you want to-"
"Look, we're here!" Yossie announced, interrupting her prostitute. "Let's go, everyone! We got the closest hotel for a reason."
Reina sighed as she filed out of the van, disappointed.
"It's good we came a day early," Kaori said as they all walked into the hotel. "It'll surely be crowded tomorrow, as always."
"Under Yoshizawa," Hitomi told the woman at the front desk.
"Ah! You're suites are on the fifth floor. Your luggage will be up in a moment. Please enjoy."
"Seeing as we're only staying for a day," Yossi explained as they all squeezed into an elevator. "I figured getting six rooms would be enough. As for who's sleeping in the same room together..."
"You can kiss my ass, Yossie. You better get me my own damned room or I'm going to-"
"Oh look, fifth floor!" Hitomi all but shouted as she rushed out of the crowded elevator.
"Damnit, Hitomi!" Tsuji moved to run after her, but Reina caught her wrist, pulling her back while everyone else walked out.
"What the-? You better let go of me, Tanaka!"
"Actually, Nono, Iwaswonderingifyou'dsharearoomwithme." Reina said so quickly she wasn't sure if Tsuji heard her properly.
"Wh-what?" Tsuji mumbled, wide-eyed as she stiffened under the oher girls' grip.
"Since we have to share rooms, I thought we could share one." Reina mumbled out. "I know you don't like me that much...but, I just thought if you don't want to be around someone else then-"
"I never said I don't like you..." Tsuji mumbled, pulling away from the brunette girl and walking away from the elevator. "Yeah, sure, whatever..."
Reina brightened. "Really? You're su-"
"Let's go before I change my mind, Tanaka!"
"Right!"
"Hey, hurry it up! We're deciding who's sharing rooms." Miki yelled to the two brunette prostitutes.
"Tsuji and I will share one," Reina responded with a grin.
Miki arched an amused eyebrow. "Is that so? Since when have you two been getting along?"
"Ah, Tanakacchi must be being nice enough to take Tsuji off our hands. How kind..." Hitomi stated, passing keys to everyone.
"That's not true," Reina responded as she grabbed the key from her temporary roommate. "I want to share a room with Tsuji."
"EH?!"
"You don't all have to act so suprised." Tsuji mumbled, taking the keys from Reina again and unlocking the door it went to.
"This just means that Reina is trying to bond with Nono, it's not a crime." Rika said calmly with a small smile as she squeezed Reina's shoulder.
Tsuji rolled her eyes. "We aren't trying to bond, I just don't want to be bothered with any one else. Why don't you stop squeezing her shoulder now?"
For the first time, Reina witnessed Rika's almost mischievous smirk. "What's wrong, Tsuji? Jealous?"
"Jealous? Pff! Oh, Please!" Tsuji snorted before slamming the door behind her, leaving Reina to pout.
"You guys don't have to be so mean!" The wonky-eyed teen whined as she followed after her moody friend.
"OK, what's that all about?" Miki said, crossing her eyes and arching an eyebrow. It seemed no one noticed the worried expression crossing Rika's face.
"Are you OK, Nono?"
"Why wouldn't I be OK?" Tsuji snapped, all but throwing her clothes on the bed. "Why is there only one damned bed? What the hell is wrong with Hitomi? Has she lost her fucking mind?"
"I-I can sleep on the floor, if you want..."
"You aren't sleeping on the floor!" Tsuji yelled, throwing her suitcase to the ground.
"Did I do something?" Reina mumbled. Normally she would probably be in Tsuji's face because she was angry, but somehow she found patience to deal with the older prostitute. But, either Tsuji didn't here her, or she was just ignoring her.
I guess she's more upset than I thought. Reina thought as she sighed and, though she was reluctant, pushed herself toward the angry girl and hugged her from behind. I loud gasp sounded through the room as Reina felt Tsuji's body tense. Despite that, she only gripped the 19-year-old tighter.
"I'm sorry they pick on you so much. If there was something I could do, I would definitely do it in as quickly as a second." Reina said quietly, resting her head against the stunned girls' back. "I'm sorry that...I mean, I know I can't do anything, though."
Tsuji relaxed, breathing out a sigh as she somehow found her breath again. "You aren't the one who should be apologizing." She murmured in response. Pulling herself away from the chubby teen, she resumed to putting her clothes away in the currently empty drawers.
No one bothered even coming out of their rooms for the rest of the day. Either it was because of the scene when they first arrived, or simply because everyone was resting for the going-to-be hectic events of tomorrow. Thankfully, the next morning everyone was up early and ready to go visit the Meiji Shrine.
"I hate lines." Reina grumbled impatiently as she crossed her arms in a child-like manner once they'd finally entered the shrine after waiting in the line for at least forty five minutes.
"Lines are part of the event, Tankacchi." Hitomi said with a smile.
"But still...anyway, where should we go first?" The wonky-eyed teen said excitedly as she looked around at the various
"Don't burt a blood vessel, Tanaka. We just barely got here." Tsuji snapped, pushing her way passed her fellow prostitute.
Oh great, I'm just making her angry. Reina thought as she ran up to her grumpy friend and entwined their arms. "Why don't we go get some charms first? Come on!"
In the crowd with the rest of the prostitutes, Rika frowned as she watched Reina run off somewhere with Tsuji. She refrained from sighing as she followed everyone absentmindedly.
"Don't worry," Kaori said, putting a hand on her friends' shoulder. "She hasn't forgotten about you."
Rika let a false smile capture her lips as she nodded. "I should be feeling worse for Eririn." She said and glanced at the frowning, raven-haired eighteen-year-old.
"Perhaps she is becoming too fond of our dear Reina." Kaori said thoughtfully as she pulled Rika away from the rest of their friends and toward a dumpling food stand.
"Dumplings?"
"None of us ate breakfast. I don't see why not."
"A Chinese love charm?" Tsuji grumbled out as she gave Reina a blunt stare. The wonky-eyed teen only gave her a thumbs up in response.
"So you can give and receive lots of love this year!"
"Are you sure that's what this is for?"
"Anyway, I'm hungry. Let's get dumplings!"
"Why dumplings?" Tsuji complained as she was once again taken by the arm by Reina and dragged toward the dumpling stand.
"Rika and Kaori are there too. Hey guys!" Reina waved as she sat next to her blonde friend and grinned. "You came straight to the food stands?"
"We didn't eat breakfast because we didn't want to be full before eating the Hatsumode food." Rika explained with her usual smile, showing her happiness that her favorite teen was next to her again.
After looking between Rika and Reina thoughtfully, Kaori quickly stood and said, "Nono, come with me won't you?"
"Come with you where?" Tsuji grumpily asked and crossed her arms.
"I'm going to buy a charm."
"I was just there!" She didn't have time to say anything else before Kaori pulled her by the wrist back to the charm stands.
"Are you OK now?" Reina asked as she observed her friend.
"What do you mean?" Rika asked, confused.
"Now that December is gone, are you feeling any better?" Reina smiled. "Now that it's the New Year?"
"Oh, yes, much better." Rika said cheerily as she stuffed a dumpling in her mouth.
"I think my New Years wish will be," Reina began quietly. "For you to put that time behind you."
Rika's eyes widened as she stopped half way through chewing her food, all but gaping at Reina, who only smiled back at her.
"You have dumplings dropping from your mouth," She stated and giggled. Rika gasped, quickly shutting her mouth while her entire face turned red, making the teen prostitute simply laugh out loud.
"Hn..." Tsuji grumbled as she watched the two from afar. "I don't why she likes her so much."
"They are like sisters," Kaori responded as she took an extra long time to pick out the charm she wanted. "Reina looks up to Rika like an older sister, and Rika wishes to protect her in return."
"Even so..." Tsuji scoffed. "Whatever, just hurry up."
"Don't take your jealousy out on me, Nono."
"I'm not jealous, damnit!"

T_T I could've put more effort into that...oh well, hopefully the next chapter will be better.
