“Thanks again, Toshio-san.” Miki said with a smile as she walked out of a small rental movie store, a bag of foreign films in her hand as she strolled down the dark streets.
“I’m glad they just got in a new stock of movies, I was almost getting sick of watching The Covenant. The Harry Potter line gets me every time though…Heh.” she talked to nobody in particular, considering the streets were empty.
As she passed by a construction site, she noticed that somebody was watching her from the corner of a the street. She couldn’t tell who it was, the shadows caused by the street lamps hid their face.
Hmm…Not a bad time for a snack…
She started to walk towards the person, yet soon realized who it was once she was closer.
“Oh, hi Aya.” Miki said with a smile, glad she didn’t attack from afar.
“Hello, Tan.” Aya said, Miki could swear she could even feel the coldness from it tingle her skin.
BAM.
Miki stumbled backwards, holding her jaw. “What the hell?!”
“Don’t bother acting like that hurt you more than it did.” Aya said, refusing to take her eyes off Miki, “I know you’re little secret, don’t deny it.”
“How’d you find out?!” Miki demanded, wiping the small amount of blood from her lip.
Aya walked towards Miki as she spoke, “Let’s just say a little wonky eyed bird told me.” She threw another punch, this one Miki blocked and grabbed Aya’s wrist.
“Just listen--”
Miki fell silent as heard the click of a gun, which was now pointed straight at her heart with Aya‘s right hand. Yet it was only moments before she spoke again.
"You’re fast, always have been with things."
"Shut up." Aya growled, "You know that I will pull this trigger on any vampire, including you."
"Yup, I know that." For some reason, Miki seemed rather casual, yet quickly grabbed Aya’s other wrist with her free hand, twisting it around until a small crack was heard.
Aya dropped the gun from the sudden pain and Miki kicked the gun away with her foot.
"Don’t worry, I didn’t break it." Miki said before quickly making an attempt to run, yet Aya quickly grabbed the back of Miki’s shirt with her left hand, making an attempt to pull her down backwards. However, Miki caught Aya’s attempt and forcefully rammed backwards into Aya, making her stumble while the vampire tried to make a run for it once again.
As Aya lifted herself from the ground, she noticed that the kicked away gun was right next to her, so she grabbed it and ran after Miki, trying to aim at a good spot to make her stop in her tracks. Aya had one hell of a time aiming though, since her aiming arm had been twisted not so long ago, and the pain throbbed in her wrist. After settling for what she had aimed for before, she fired the gun, and it nailed Miki straight in her left leg, just above her knees.
Miki nearly toppled over with the hit, but caught herself from falling with her hands and turned her head to snarl at the hunter before getting up. That’s smart, using a silencer on the gun to make sure the neighborhood doesn’t eavesdrop… Before she could even think any further, Miki felt her leg pulsate rather painfully, making her realize that the gun was loaded with either cross-bullets, or bullets dabbed in some kind of liquid with garlic. As she stopped briefly to try and shake off the pain, she felt a hard blow connected to the back of her head—Aya had smacked her with the back of the gun.
Miki whirled around and blocked the second smack from her head with her right arm, and then she slapped Aya with the back of her left hand. Aya was stunned momentarily but manage to land a roundhouse kick on Miki’s chest before she could run again. After the kick, Aya did a low sweep kick to knock Miki off her feet, seeing how her left leg was shot. The hit did connect, however, as Miki was tripped, the vampire tilted backwards, her right hand planted on the ground, to perform a back-flip kick. Aya moved her upper body backwards to dodge the kick, and then she swiftly moved in and threw her left arm to punch Miki’s injured leg while she was still doing the backflip.
Miki caught that strategy as well, and wrapped her legs around Aya’s neck, and tried to bring her head into the ground with the force of a boulder. The soloist was definitely not a failure of a hunter, for she realized Miki’s move, and she used her hands against the ground to prevent her head from hitting it. Aya then did a handstand of her own and manage to get her legs wrapped around Miki’s body. Miki definitely had to think quick, because the tides of battle is not liking her one bit. Aya then tried to do the same move that Miki attempted: bashing her head against the ground with her legs. Only this time, Aya’s full body force was behind the attack. Miki automatically stopped her head from getting near the concrete by using a single hand to block the rather strong force. Ignoring the cracks of the bones in her hand, Miki held herself up—with Aya holding on.
“Did the poor vampire get her hand busted?” Aya teased, pressuring Miki’s body so that she heard even more bones crack in the lone right hand initiating the handstand.
Damn…She’s not kidding! What kind of vampire hunter is she?! Sure, I’ve easily handled hunters like her before, but Aya’s a damn power goddess compared to those small fry! She’s even stronger than Maki! Hell, she’s even on par with ME…! I have to be serious or else I’ll seriously be killed by her!
“It’s not over!” Miki replied in a loud grunt before launching both her and Aya into the air by using her very hand as the pinball spring. With that move, I can’t use my right hand anymore… Miki had to form a plan in her head quickly, otherwise, she might as well say goodbye to living. As both women are airborne, Aya aimed her gun and started firing away at Miki. Being a vampire has its advantages though, as if there were invisible walls, Miki bounced off the air, dodging the bullets. Though athletic in the air as she may be, a stray bullet managed to graze against Miki’s right cheek, leaving a small but painful scar.
In revenge of the scar, Miki lunged at the falling hunter in hopes of giving her an identical scar. As she extended her stone-tense hand at blinding speeds capable of inflicting a scar, Aya managed to take hold of the arm and pull herself towards Miki and spin her around in mid-air before throwing her against the ground. Miki hit the ground hard, hard enough to bounce. Aya landed on Miki, straddling her hips, and they both landed on the ground again, Miki taking the severe hit, before Aya jumped off of Miki and into a ready-to-strike pose once the vampire gets up again.
Miki got up slowly as Aya stared on. The scar on Miki’s cheek began to bleed. In fact, the blood was nearly visible on Miki’s pant leg, and her hand was becoming numb.
Alright…Miki thought, my face is scratched, but the pain isn’t as bad as my leg… And my hand is completely pulverized…
“Round two,” Aya said as she charged. Miki stepped to the side and tried to punch with her left hand, her good hand, but Aya blocked with her left hand as well. That contact alone caused painful shivers on Aya’s arm. The hunter then tried hitting Miki in the head with the gun, but Miki blocked that, but her shoulder, since her right arm was bad. Because of the bad blocking move, Miki nearly let out a painful scream as the force sent shockwaves down her spine. The vampire tried to kick Aya in the chest, but the leg ended up being grabbed and thus, Miki was thrown on the ground again. Miki tried to stop herself from landing, but failed as she landed with a thud.
“Is this the first time a hunter gave you so much trouble, Tan?”
Damn it all…My coordination’s shot with my spine like this…
“It was a good fight while it lasted…” Aya said calmly as she walked over to the lying vampire, gun reloaded and ready. Miki was panting heavily, watching her best friend walk over her legs until she was directly above Miki’s knees. “It’s a shame, Tan,” Aya said as she pointed the gun at Miki’s head.
Miki gathered her strength, and spread both of her legs forcefully, causing Aya to do a near split. Then, Miki, despite the pain from her bad arm, did a back-flip kick to Aya’s groin, launching her in the air. The vampire quickly recovered and jumped in the air doing a somersault kick in the air which landed Aya forcefully back on the ground. Miki caught the gun in the air and then she also landed on Aya, with her legs straddling her hips, much like the situation before, and pointed the gun at her head.
Thus, the tides of battle turned.
“As much as I want to shoot you, there’s something I want to take care of first…” and with that, Miki smacked Aya really hard in the head with the gun, thus, knocking her out.
Miki stood up, and brushed herself off quickly before picking up Aya and carrying her wedding-style as she started to walk towards the Hello! Project apartments.
On her way, she walked through the park as a shortcut. “I can’t just drag you along with me.” she spoke to the unconscious Aya in her arms.
Miki looked around, thinking of the many places she could leave Aya. “Hmm…A trashcan wouldn’t be that bad.” she couldn’t help but to laugh lightly at the idea of a little boy running up to his mother saying ‘Mommy! I found Matsuura Aya in a trashcan!’
She shook the thought out of her head and once again searched for a spot to put the soloist. “Well…I could bring her to her apartment…” Miki mumbled to herself, even though Aya had attacked her, she couldn’t bring it to herself to just leave her in some random spot.
Minutes later, Miki walked up the steps to Aya’s apartment room. She set Aya down before lifting up the welcome mat and picking up the silver key which was underneath it.
“Same damn spot for the past three years, you really should change the spot every once and a while.” Miki said as she unlocked and opened Aya’s apartment door. “Why am I talking to you anyway? You’re unconscious.”
Miki once again picked up Aya after placing the key back in it’s lovely home under the welcome mat, bringing her to her bed.
Miki was even nice enough to place a blanket over Aya after removing her shoes and changing her into pajamas.
She then walked into Aya’s kitchen and pulled out aspirin and a bottled water, soon placing them both on Aya’s nightstand with a sticky note reading: ‘Pain killers are your friend.’
“Have lovely dreams of…Not killing me.” Miki said quietly before leaving the apartment, heading towards her own.

“Ugh…She ruined my favorite pair of pants…” Miki mumbled to herself as she inspected the bullet hole in the back of her leg. The wound didn’t heal as fast as a normal wound would for Miki, considering it was specially made to harm vampires, so she wrapped a bandage around it after removing the bullet.
She walked over to her dresser with a sigh and grabbed a new pair of jeans, quickly pulling them on. “Where would she be?” She asked herself while changing into a new shirt as well.
After a few minutes of thinking and preparation, Miki left her room in search of a certain Morning Musume member.
In her room? Nope.
“Damn…I might actually have to try and look for her…” Miki groaned as she exited the Hello! Project apartments for a bit of fresh air to think.
“Oh, Fujimoto-san.” Reina said, walking up to her. “I wanted to talk to you about--”
She couldn’t even finish her sentence before she was shoved up against the building. “You…” Miki growled, fire sparking in her eyes.
“I…I can explain!” Reina managed to say. She was trembling although she was yankii, Reina knew she was out of her league.
“Aya tried to kill me…” Miki spoke, cold as ice, into Reina’s ear. “But I’m not going to be the one dying tonight.”
