Tsunku's comments about Hitorijime:

ハロープロジェクトの中でも、ある種、異色のポジションで
独自の道を行くのが美勇伝だと思っています。
音楽の中にわずかに香る和のテイスト。
ほんのちょっぴりの白醤油を入れた程度なんですが、
そのちょっぴりがどうやら、相当効いているようです。
で、今回のテーマは「シュールセクシー」です。
これまでの楽曲の中でもさらに和のテイストを少なくしてみたのです。
それでも、ほんのりかつおの風味。
そんな風に上品に仕上がりました。
たぶん、彼女達がなんとなく持ち合わせている上品さが
そのままユニットのスタイル、そして、楽曲の仕上がりにつながっているのだと思います。
プロデュース方針として、いつも彼女たち（ハロプロ全員）に伝えているのは、
「歌は押し付けてはいけない」
ということです。
街頭演説のようながなっているメッセージより、
夜中、家族に聞こえないように話している電話のときの声くらいが、
ポピュラーソングとして、実は一番、こころに響くんじゃないか！と、
考えているからです。
そういった意味で、今回の「ひとりじめ」はそのプロデュース方針の
どまんなかにいるように思います。
何より、石川がモーニング娘。を卒業後、違う人になったんじゃないか！
と、思えるほど、大人っぽく、切ない歌を歌うようになったので、
美勇伝のこの先が、ますます楽しみなる一曲に仕上がりました。
作詞には三浦徳子さんに協力願いました。
「ひとりじめ」というテーマでお願いします！と、少しアンニュイな提示をしたにも関わらず、
ど真ん中のストレートを投げ込んでくれました。
圧巻です。

Hmmmm.. well i took some liberty in rewording it into my own words as Tsunku is always kinda difficult to translate for me cuz of his kansai accent and i can't really follow his thoughts thoroughly, really,
and he's crazy, but i think it gets the main point across.. hopefully..
Tsunku Comment: "Hitorijime"
Even in Hello Project, there are varieties, and in a unique position, i think Viyuden is going down a original path.
In the music, there is a little taste of Japanese style fragrance. There is a bit of white soysauce added (wtf??), but that little bit seems to be fairly effective.
The theme this time is Shuuru (??) Sexy. In all the songs up until now, finally, this song has less Japanese influence. Furthermore, it has a slight bonito flavor. In that manner, it ends elegantly.
Probably, those girls already have some elegance, with that unit's style, I think the song is able to connect with them.
As the producer, i always tell the girls (all of them) that singing musn't be forced.
A message like a speech on the street, all night, in a voice like when you are talking on the phone to your family that you can't hear well; as a popular song, i think,actually, it should resound in the heart the most.
With a meaning like that, this time, in the song "Hitorijime," that producing plan is in the center.
But mostly, after graduating from MM, Ishikawa has become a completely different person! It seems, she is trying to sing like an adult, so the future of Viyuden finish with more and more enjoyable music.
Miura Yoshiko collaborated with me on the song making.
About "Please present "hitorijime's" theme!" it, without presenting boring presentation, goes straight to the point (center).
A masterpiece.
