I posted some info here: http://forum.jphip.com/showpost.php?p=333751&postcount=9. It is, of course, open to correction, and such is appreciated.

BUT WTF WAS THE SONG AND PV ABOUT?!? I had the distinct impression torwards the end (the girl uncomfortably meeting those two guys in the restaurant booth, the girl waiting for that creepy old guy in a black raincoat in a deserted tunnel) that it was about... schoolgirl prostitution?! It made me feel very uncomfortable.
I posted the lyrics along with the torrent here: http://forum.jphip.com/showpost.php?p=328786&postcount=4. Of course, that doesn't mean I know what's going on. Like my old Greek teacher used to say, "Poetry is what's lost in translation." However, I think the line, "Why does the night Always come so quickly in Shibuya?" is a dead givaway, since Shibuya is a notorious neighborhood for prostitution.

Thanks for the link to the lyrics, balt221.  Just reading the lyrics and hearing the song, It's clear that the song is about teenage love and sex.  The later isn't something that we like to talk about too much, but there's nothing wrong with it...

But the PV... the PV just twists it around.  That old man in the black raincoat just sent shivers through me.  I don't know, it feels really awkward.  I like Hello! Project because their lyrics are empowering and progressive.  Songs like Morning Coffee and Sexy Boy are about sex, but they say that girl's should be proudly in charge of their bodies.  The girls in the Seifuku PV looked like prey to some middle-aged pervert.

To each, his own, I guess.  Makes me feel even prouder to be a Morning Musume fan.

To me, even though the PV is clearly about the girls out on the prowl (I wouldn't say all of them were being portrayed as prostitutes, if anything I felt only Atsuko was clearly portrayed that way), it was also about them being in control. Well, Atsuko not so much, but even at the end, her little smile, was kind of a give away. It's not a PV a lot of people are going to like, but at the same time I don't think it's as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

To each their own, of course, but I think it's a fantastic PV and it's not something that should be ignored, especially in Japan.

This place has the lyrics to their 'Seifuku Ga Jama Wo Suru' single, including the b-side.

YAY!!! Thanks a bunch Arian! :)

If you meant Sato Yukari at the end of second MC section, it was more of being thankful/touched for/by (no, not "touched by" xDDD) the fans, and probably a little sad that the concert is coming to an end.

Ah!!! emo girlz!!! :P

I've seen some romaji lyrics lying around the internet and forums, you should try Googling for it.

Yep! found a few ones, but as expected, just for the singles. Too bad... :(

Quote from: XxUchihaItachixX;333475
Otherwise, you could request for it or something. I'd be glad to romanize lyrics though I'll need the Japanese lyrics... It'll take some time too.
Well, thanks for the offer. I'll see about that. :)

I have to say I totally agree with this  I didn't feel like the girls were 'victims' in this PV in any way at all... And the lyrics translation clearly states that they're not ashamed of what they are doing or how they feel ~ "That's the way it is for high school girls" is what it says. Atsuko is definitely the only one outwardly representing 'enjo-kosai' in the PV, although it could be that the other girls were just waiting to meet their 'clients.' In any case, I felt like it was a realistic portrayal of the lives of not every girl in Japan, but a pretty significant number.

AKB48 has definitely opened up the door to another side of 'idol music,' and personally I think it's really interesting. It's what makes them different from Morning Musume or any other mostly 'cutesy' girl group and I commend them for it

^From what I heard, the PV is set on the rooftop, and she is made to seem as if she jumped.

For anyone who booked the dvd box set, bad news. The 'limited edition' item will no longer be a limited release. Also, according to rumours, the Team A Stage 1 included in the box set is actually a 1st unit performance from 2005 (pre-Shinoda Team A). This is really disappointing since this was already released on dvd in the theatre. However, the Team A Stage 1 dvd (when bought separately) is supposed to be the 2nd unit performance (which hasn't been shown anywhere else yet). I don't know why it would be as such, but I feel that the real fans (who went for the extremely expensive option of getting the box set) are really kinda cheated.

Well, next week is the last week in March, so hopefully we'll get to see the PV soon  I'm really excited to see it, since AKB blew the doors wide open with the 'Seifuku' PV in terms of pushing boundaries ^~

I'm also looking forward to the pv, but I'm a tad anxious as well. Yuko is my favorite member  and I'm curious about how she'll portray that scene.

I understand what you're saying.  I prefer - accurate or not - to see the song as a simply acknowledgement of reality.  Japan's materialistic culture may drive some girls to get extra money is odd ways, and I think the song is just acknowledging that.  If anything, I see it as a critical commentary on that situation, not an endorsement of it.  Or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
