Being new to the whole world of Momusu I had not realized that there is more to this “joke/gag” with Kagaku-kun than what is shown in this clip (the 15.76 MB file shared by Masa) .

As funny as this part of the clip is…it is even funnier when you see the history behind it.

I grabbed this .wmv file from Hello!Online (Hello!Tracker Torrents):

The Hello Project - Tokuban 060323.wmv shows (12min 21sec into the clip) video footage from 2003 where a bridal bouquet of flowers is thrown (like in a real wedding) to the Momusu girls. They all run away laughing and screaming (it is funny)…and Kagaku-kun is the one who ends up receiving the bouquet. Then….the scene shows Rika and Kagaku-kun where he is attempting to present the bouquet to her.

I am not sure what happened next in 2003 because they end the re-cap at that point and bring us up to the present episode now that the set-up is complete.

And we all know what happens from there ... MURI~! .... MURI~!!!

Yup, Kagaku-kun has been in the game for about four years. I think he made his first appearance back in 2002 when Rika was on Utaban with Country Musume.

Rika is a good actress, but I don’t think it is in her nature to be harsh or unkind with people. She seems to have a very compassionate heart. Trying to get the to deliver this line in one shot with a straight face was probably too much for her (and it was all in fun).

She nailed it the second time though….

R: I’ll say it again MURI!!!...arms crossed looking very annoyed.

…of course she was laughing all the way back to her seat. She is too damn sweet!

This has got to one one of the funniest things that I have ever seen her do...I watch it over and over and still die laughing....I love the way he crawls away...I hope he will be back...keep the faith Kagaku-kun...she's worth it.

- Rika was also watching Japan winning the WBC tournament (though she is in the middle of rehearsals for H!P Party live). She is also hoping for Japan to win the upcoming football World Cup
- Before the Sports Festival, her mom told her that she’s not young anymore and that she shouldn’t overdo it. Rika was impressed with Yossui’s and Erika’s results at horse vault - she herself was afraid to even try 12 boxes. She also found the kickbase team-efforts to be cute (and realized Gatas used to be like that too). The Gatas match showed her the real gap between amateur and pro football. She also finally got rid of hair extension, changed the color and shortened her forelock too (“2006 Spring Rika version”).
- A talk about the new musical, and her sudden solo part assignation (they all got lyrics with “solo” written in it, but there was no name). Rika is also happy to get a new challenge: A role of a guy! She was ready to try to learn talking in low-pitched voice, but the producer told her she doesn’t need to change the voice (as it’s creepy then).
- As for the new Def Diva song Let’s Go Rakuten Eagles!, the CD will be sold only in official Rakuten shops, and the sale starts together with opening of the new baseball season (25.3.). Def Diva will also perform it live at first Rakuten home match vs. Orix on 28.3.
- Rika also started to learn English (but it’s not going good apparently)
- She’s not eating raamen or potato chips lately (as she has to keep the sexy body), but eats bread and drinks lot of café-au-lait instead lately.

Rika used to have a bad habit of bursting into laughter while trying to deliver a line or a joke. She has gotten better though, nowadays she starts laughing right after she has said the line

Rika's low pitched voice sounds actually pretty sexy. She doesn't really sound manly though (thank god).
