We were discussing her voice and saying how it may not be the best singing voice, but it certainly commands attention. Even the almighty Tsunku thinks very highly of it and many have deemed it to be Rika's 'weapon.' Cannot agree more!

Here's the video I mentioned I while ago, in case somebody hasn't seen it yet. My favourite solo Uta Doki! performance from Rika:

We all know that being an idol isn't all about being a singer - rather, being an entertainer, or a 'performer.' I think Rika positively performs the pants off this song.

It really highlights her voice as a 'weapon.' Sure it has a lot more spoken lines than anything, but it works in her favour marvellously. Her delivery of them is nothing short of

Even with the sound turned off, her performance alone is just... magnetic. Rika oozes confidence here and I really do forget that this girl once had very little sense of competence.

Her air-guitaring is a bonus.

hahaha YES! Beecubed "Minato no Yoko, Yokohama, Yokosuka" was my ringtone for a while. Rika's latter Uta Doki (the last volume she was on) was her strongest work. YELLOW HAPPY. All such powerful ones. And I really really wanna see Rika play the guitar.

The Chicken Clips!! I swore I upped em all somewhere...in the "fave clips thread"...my favorite is Rika doing the "come on" pose - which she borrowed from the early GENS and made it her own on Hello! Morning news:
