if heat does lose this series, ill be really disappointed in them. wade is really becoming more clutch every game nowadays. hope he wins the mvp if heat does get the rings.

WHOA!! I feel ur pain guys...Dallas started out really crazy. Stack missing the dunk then Dirk two handing it. The 2nd unit of Miami was total D. Zo and Gary Payton were on a mission. I liked it when Harris flopped on the ground like a baby...but Cuban has a point, the NBA is fixed.

Though I'm happy for Shaq and Pat Riley, D.Wade was a beast ... :o Just so clutch, even when he missed the last free throws he was like all over on the D. And whoa. Miami is the first the recent expansion teams to win an NBA title .

Shaq's ass just makes everyone around him better! It opens up the lanes for Flash to make those silky smooth jump shots!!

AND poor tama-chan. Larry Brown got fired. and fuckin Isiah Thomas took over. The Knicks are a joke :lmao:

The NBA Draft shall be interesting. Raptors won't fuck up #1...or will they

^ Amen.
I'm thinking Charlotte will pick Adam Morrison though.  We'll see what happens.
I'm hoping a ton of trades go down, I love seeing draft day trades.

Well the announcers did all mention he can provide instant offence so "Ammo" will definitely help the Bobcats next year as well as dramatically raise attendance.  Charlotte is a team of the future no doubt since they're solid at almost all positions...1-2 veteran free agents may help speed up the rise.

Edit: Did anyone actually watch the draft?  I watched the whole 1st round on the Score in Canada.  Hahahha, gotta love the Knicks fans.

ESPN had an interview with MJ. Hes finally starting to show his age with some wrinkles working themselves in.

Smith and Greg Anthony were bashing Portland so bad for their picks and trades. hahaha

No reactions on the draft?
I'd say Portland came away relative winners.  They managed to pick up 2 guys who could have well gone 1 & 2 in Aldridge and Roy.  Although i question why they felt they had to pull off so many trades...some of which seemed pointless.

As for the surprise of the night, in my opinion, is Rudy Gay falling to 8th and then getting traded to Memphis for Shane Battier.  Memphis sure raped Houston in that deal.  Not only that but the Grizz get a decent big man in Stromile.

About my favourite team, the Raps, we came out pretty decent with Bargnani and PJ Tucker.  Many fans are calling Tucker the steal of the 2nd round since he brings toughness and rebounding with the only main concern being his size (not tall enough to be a forward).  Oh well, I hope Bargnani can develop into the next Dirk although I'm sure that's at least 1-2 years away...the good news is he's got the international experience and is not as raw as some other European players who came into the league (i.e. Tskitishvili).

Villanueva traded for Ford + cash
http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/pressrelease_070106.html

I am ready to kick someone's ass for this.  What the hell is BC thinking?!?  Ok yeah, Ford fills a need and it's probably he will have a larger impact (possibly stats-wise as well) than Charlie but you don't trade a guy with so much more potential (i.e. CV) just cause we're thin at the PG spot.  Ask any NBA fan and he/she will tell you that the Raps got the short end of the stick in this trade.

In the long term, the trade may turn out pretty even but as of right now, the amount of talent swapped is unequal.  Damn, I'm so pissed.

edit: and also, Colangelo has been acquiring a little bit of extra cash in the deals he's been pulling off.  It seems to me he's going to look to the free agent market for a significant signing OR maybe the cash is going to be used to sign Ford longterm.  AHHHHHHHHHH, I hate this trade.

edit2: oh, and I'm thinking a trade is in the works too.  Perhaps something between Toronto and Seattle...getting Ray Allen now makes a bit of sense if BC is going for a "win now" approach.
