i think this is by far the second worst injury i've seen in the nba since shaun livingston's horrifying knee dislocation

imo oden was the next best thing after d-howard...i hope he can come back to play again

Bill Walton won two championships, sure he had injuries but you can't call him a what if.

It seems like if Oden get hit with one more injury, then its most likely over for him sadly.

I'm no NBA junkie but I read pieces that said that Walton was supposed to be an NBA Great, like Kareem and Jordan and Magic and Bill Russell, etc. He had a good career but plenty potential left in the ether.

Tony Kornheiser made the comp yesterday on PTI: Bowie, Walton... is Oden next? I certainly hope not as he seems to be a very likable individual and easy to root for. It would be sad for his career to be defined as a bag of broken body parts.

Oden may not be as effective with his kneecaps being ripped but like Walton, can re-invent themselves. He became an effective 6th player and key part of the Celtics early championship runs.
