The Bulls won the #1 spot for the draft lottery.
The Heat got 2nd, and the T'Wolves got 3rd.
With the #1 pick in the 2008 draft, the Chicago Bulls select Derrick Rose.  :D

It's a good game and too bad Spurs lost, but I still have faith in them and think they are going to win the series but then lose to probably Celtics in the final.  If Celtics lose, they should fire Doc Rivers ass..... how can you get that kind of roster but still struggle in the playoff?

Ray Allen is struggling but he should not struggle forever... Paul Pierce hasn't play up to his level too except that game 7.

Again the Lakers 2nd unit (Turiaf / Farmer / Vujacic) helped win the game, Kobe is Kobe and he can scores and sometimes he decides to stack up assists like tonight, but it's the 2nd unit that beat the Spurs in game 1.  I hope Ginobili won't struggle like Ray Allen or Spurs is pretty much done.  Spurs 2nd unit (Finley / Barry / Thomas) needs to play much better too....... but from what game 1 shows.... they are probably too old and pretty much done.  Although Udoka didn't have his best night, but I think he was the only guy that brought the game tonight.

forget about the Conference Finals.  how bout that Candace Parker and the WNBA..... lol j/k

FUCK YEAH!!!
this is how a true MVP takes over a game!!
i think Pop said it best:
"Kobe, he was doing a trust-his-teammates thing in the first half," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "That's why he had five assists, and he was checking it all out and see where his territory was going to be.  In the second half, he went to work."

gonna be a pretty good series.  hopefully no more plane(mechanical) problems for the Spurs

shit son. the WNBA is full of fuglies. Sheryl Swoopes is still in the game? Bringing it in Seattle LOL

DAMN!! Gotta give it up to the Spurs D.  :banghead:

Lakers looked confused. Fish and Odom just weren't sharp!!!! Too many easy shots missed  :bleed eyes:

After that 30 point destruction on Friday I KNEW the Spurs would step it up at home. Whatever about Manu's fingernail/ankle. Dude is NUTS. 5 threes in the 2nd. Brent Barry and Finley and Oberto hitting their shots? DOH gameover.

Hey any of you know this kiikoi fool? Inserts anti-Laker shit in the IRC and then shuts up lol

STILL ... Lakers gonna make the adjustments, Tuesday is gonna be hella good! I like Farmar stepping it up in this series. Gotta be aggressive - Kobe only attempting 1 free throw? Fuck that.

Conference Finals is turning out real good. Like fucking Boston stepping it up and FINALLY won a road game. Pisstons are going down once Ray Allen figures the playoffs have started

Authorities in Gainesville charge Noah with possession of marijuana

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities in Gainesville have charged Chicago Bulls forward and former Florida star Joakim Noah with possession of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol.

Gainesville police spokesman Sgt. Rick Roberts says Noah was arrested around 1:50 a.m. Sunday after an officer spotted him on a sidewalk holding a plastic cup containing an amber drink, a violation of city law. During a search at the station, officers found marijuana in his pocket.

Noah was released after signing a notice to appear before a judge -- standard procedure for such offenses. He could face up to 6 months in jail and a $500 fine for the marijuana charge.

Noah led the Gators to consecutive national championships before being selected ninth overall in last June's draft by the Bulls. He averaged 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 74 games as a rookie.

Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam said general manager John Paxson "did express to Joakim his disappointment in his actions this weekend" and added: "Until we gather further information on this situation, we won't be making any further comment."

After reading something like this, I can only shake my head.
This kid has to learn that he's in the NBA now, and incidents like this, which is flatout pure stupidity on his part, can only cause him harm IN THE EYE'S OF THE PUBLIC, and for the organization and team that he's playing for.

The answer to the expected and obvious question of "What was he thinking?", is that he wasn't thinking at all, period.
"Yo, microphone check one, two, what is this? The five foot assassin with the roughneck business"
"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."
"Who's scruffy looking?"

Wow what a game! And what a finish!!

And yeah... I thought it should've been a foul called on the floor on the last play.

OMGASS THAT WAS CLOSE :sweatdrop:

Shit Lakers came on strong!! WHATTA GAME. Lamar + Gasol with the rebounds! Kobe with dunk after dunk.

Fuck Brent Barry. Joey Crawford and crew had a real questionable nite. You just gotta get over that. Manu's feet on the line, Tim Duncan traveling. Kobe no FTs? Whatta mess - at least the Lakers pulled it out. In the end, ya gotta hit the shots. LOL @ ESPN whining about the refs.

My friend, a long-time Lakers fan and basketball ethusiast, chimed in with this prediction:

Lakers in 7. Celtics don't have the material on the bench to stay with LA. Their reserves are too young and inexperienced (Big Baby) or too old and slow (Cassell). LA's reserves are young, but well tested the last three years, and in their prime.

So...  what team should I (non-fan) root for?
