This is all my fault, if I didn’t let them brainwash me, none of this wouldn’t have happened. Kai wouldn’t have been forced to have been brainwashed, Yuki wouldn’t have been shot and Mayu wouldn’t have unplugged herself.

Chapter 35: Help from Old Friends (Part 1)

Jun’s POV

Looks like it’s really the end for them…

All those years, they were together, the never forgotten love between them was so strong…. They even died for each other….

Everyone showed up for the memorial, Milky, Rino, Rie, even Rena, whose stomach was growing bigger from the pregnancy. I held on to her tightly.

This was the effects of the ‘war’ between us rebels and the majors. From deaths to break ups, everyone gets something to regret later on.

“Jun...”

“Yuki?!” I saw him walking towards me, it felt suspicious.

“Yes, it’s me. Kami-Sama, He revived me and Mayu… But Mayu’s going to be human again...”

“EH?!” Everyone was simultaneous in their bewilderment and shock.

“What are you going to do with her robotic body then?”

“I’m going to use it as a base blueprint.”

“Wait! What I don’t get is how Mayu is going to be human again?”

“He said that He’ll duplicate her body...”

“Oh, okay then.”

Walking towards them was a fancily dressed man.

“Wait before you get any ideas, it’s me, Yuu. I’m not brainwashed anymore. I want to help the resistance again.”

“Eh?!”

“Chotto!”

“Fuuchan!” Milky ran towards Fuuko, hoping to get a hug. Luckily for her, her wish was granted.

“Wait, did your masters stop you?”

“Well, Yuu here was my master, as well as Rena’s, but he was brainwashed too. As for his master, I don’t really know. But it’s good to be back~”

“I agree with you Fuuko~”

“Minna, what do you think?”

Mayu walked towards us, with human features. It seemed…. Heartwarming that everyone suddenly comes back after something tragic has happened….

But I think there’s something more to this….

Yuki’s POV

I want to propose to her now, but I don’t think it’s such a good time.

“Fuuchan~” Milky was being clingy again...

“Mayu… Can I see you for a moment?” I asked her, whilst searching my pockets for a diamond ring my mother gave me all those years ago.

“Y-Yuki..?! This is...”
 
“Mayu, I love you too much to let you go ever again. I want to be with you forever, holding you, kissing you… I want this to be our eternity.”

“Yuki...”

I knelt down on the floor, holding the box carrying my mom’s ring. This is the moment of truth.

“Mayu, it been 12 years since I first laid my eyes on you, I’ve been through the bad and special times with you, I never seen you this vulnerable. ”

“Yuki… I...”

“Watanabe Mayu, will you marry me?” I said whilst opening the box to reveal the ring.

“Yuki… I don’t know what to say...”

“I’ll let you-”

“I don’t need to think about it. I want to marry you. I want to live a life as a human with you.”

“Mayu..!”

“Yes… Yes! YES! I’LL MARRY YOU!!!” she screamed as she hugged me and tears fell down her cheeks.

“Thank god...”

I placed the ring on her fourth finger, realising what it’s like to be an engaged man. We walked back, holding hands.

Chapter 36: Karaoke Madness and Love (Part 1)

Rena’s POV

I caressed my stomach. It reminded me of the times I spent with Jun…

“Rena-chan!”

“Churi?”

“Hai!”

“How’s things?”

“I’m doing fine, thanks. I heard about your pregnancy, congratulations!”

“Oh, thanks~ How’s things with Airi?”

“We’re doing fine. She told me to say hi~”

“Besides, Jun-kun, he wants to see you. Come on!”

I walked with Akane, or Churi as she’s more comfortable being called it, back to the central part of base, where the other members of R7 waited.

“Ano, minna…”

“Yuki?”

“I proposed to Mayu...”

“Eh?! What did she say?”

“I said, yes, of course!”

“Congrats, Yuki. You finally got yourself a girl~”

“Hey! That was so uncalled for!”

“Anyway, we’re seriously happy for you two.”

“Yeah, it’s been too long.”

“Hey, let’s go to karaoke! It’s been way too long since I’ve seen Yuki drunk as hell~”

“Sae, you were always more drunk than me and plus I’ve kept off the alcohol.”
“Yeah right~”

“That only happened once, and you were embarrassingly drunk at least 15 times. Especially when we were preparing to battle Messi…”

“Yuu, Fuuchan, you guys wanna come?”

“Wait where’s NyanNyan~ I wanna see her so badly~”

“Yuu-chan?!” Haruna walked towards all of is wondering who the voice belonged to.

“NyanNyan!!!!” Yuu said as he rushed towards his partner.

“Well, lets go!”

As we were walking to the karaoke bar, I could see Mayu and Yuki walking hands, Sayu and Miyuki being lovey dovey and Haruna and Yuu being dorks with the Twin Towers But Yuisuke and Haruka were silent and Rie and Rino were the same. Jun and I were just there looking at everything around us.

“I call Yuki go first!” Jun proposed.

“Fine I have a song in mind anyway~”

“I’m, I’m good at wasting time,
I think lyrics need to rhyme,

But I’m trying to grow a mustache.
I eat cheese, but only on pizza, please,

As he started singing his voice illuminated Mayu’s heart in more ways than one.

“Yuki….”

Everyone seemed surprised at Yuki’s vocal capacity. So was I, to be honest, how he conveys the feeling of the song as well as his own character.

“Yuki, I want you to play this on the guitar while you sing sometime~”

And I like to use the word 'dude'
As a noun, or an adverb, or an adjective

Everyone knew how Yuki loved to make people smile. In any single way he could.

And he continued the song until the end. Mayu was in tears, Jun, Rino and Yuisuke were just speechless and the rest of us were just clapping.

I turned on the karaoke machine and the lights went dim as the music started.
