^ awww shit viewing party tonite?!?!?

with MCing, comparing Jay and Rae is like apples and oranges. Dat A.Keys joint be the only track I'm feeling off BP3. If straight ranking, I'd put 8 Wu MC's in front of Jigga. I just like grimy street non-commercial story telling non-braggadocious shit more.

1st - 10 millionth impressions about Cuban Linx 2

01. Return Of The North Star: Papa wu never fails to inspire, GET DAT PAPER!! Don't let people cheat you. Wise words. Rae at MSG. I BELIEVE IT.
02. House Of Flying Daggers: Epic rework of the hook. Each verse tears another hole in yo asshole, we PoP off like a MOBSTA BOSS!! Mef reminds em fake ass MC's Wu can't be fucked wit.
03. Sonny's Missing: dope use sound FX. pure cinematic shit
04. Pyrex Vision: Groovy guitar loop, makes me wanna cook shit up.
05. Cold Outside: Haunting track, realizm. Track to bump when brothers fallen, outlook unknown, but you gotta keep on pushing with ya muthafuckin AK.
06. Black Mozart: STUPID FOOL!! Another reason why RZA needs to fully produce all tracks on all Wu albums. This track is so raw, so secret inditement. Rae & Deck kill the entire track!! Top 3 tracks on OB4CL2
07. Gihad: haha The Mobsta Bossing Anthem!!! Slobbering on my nuts! Best line is "Even you 25 you still my son!"
08. New Wu: This joint still killa even tho I heard it 10 million times. "Move like Romans, cloning everything" Rae dun dis em again!! /me jumps outta Benz Wagons
09. Penitentiary: Lead Burgers!
10. Baggin Crack: dope short snapshot to da hussle
11. Surgical Gloves: 8 million stories. We all millionaires! Where my shares!!
12. Broken Safety: Song gets disjointed, with the guest MCs. Used to move brown rectangles! And the kung fu intro is hilarious.
13. Canal Street: All our fathers is bank robbers. The beat looping is pure gangsta FUCK YOU SHIT!!!
14. Ason Jones: Joint caught me by surprise, but by far the most in depth, touching tribute to ODB on a Wu album. WE KEEPS IT REAL.
15. Have Mercy: Gritty beat. Beanie got an aight verse.
16. 10 Bricks: CUBAN LINK DYNASTY HAS EMERGED. Total joint, from Ghost's spitting to Capp's hook to Rae getting stupid. This be Top 3.
17. Fat Lady Sings: In order to be a general, you still gotta be a soldier!!
18. Catalina: Dre's beats grown on me on millionth listen, but dude singing is annoying as fuck.
19. We Will Rob You: AW SHIT SLICK RICK. Another classic crime joint by Rae. GZA's verse is by far his best in years. PUMP DEM BRAKES.
20. About Me: An average beat by Dre...took away Busta trying to go off, but like he had to take a shit.
21. Mean Streets: Mudd on my nikes!! So violent, so dope.
22. Kiss The Ring: AWWW SHIT. JPHiP Anthem!! JPHiP Logo Splashed on all the DISHES. Elton john Yellow Brick Road sample threw me off, not as much as Suge Knight Pop the Cork.

Raekwon Signs The Original Only Built For Cuban Linx "Purple Tape"

Quote
Director’s Commentary: Brett Ratner’s Music Video Classics

Wu-Tang Clan “Triumph” (1997)

DIRECTOR’S COMMENTARY: “It was the first million dollar rap video. When Steve Rifkind asked me, I said, ‘Are you sure about this record? There’s no chorus!’ He says “Trust me, its gonna be the biggest record of the year. Only Wu-Tang could pull this off.’ So, I set up the video—Joseph Kahn was my cinematographer. I hear that they want eleven Suburbans—they each want their own. They each also want $50,000 worth of gear, and they told me all their designers. So first day, these guys are walking in one at a time, and each guy walks into the dressing room, and walks out with plastic bags filled with all the clothes. I called Steve like, ‘They’re stealing all the clothes!’ He’s like, ‘Don’t worry, let them have it.’”

“It’s a five day shoot, and it’s crazy. The greatest fuckin’ experience, they’re eating mushrooms the whole time. Ol’ Dirty never shows up. I was like, Oh my god, this is fucking insane! The most fun I ever had. After shooting ends, they all leave to go on tour in Europe, but Ghost never would travel, because he had diabetes. So he checks into a hotel, and they said, ‘Yo Ghost, you watch Brett, and watch over that edit, man. White devil could fuck it up!” So, we’re in the edit room, and we call the group on speakerphone. And it’s the funniest thing, this is embedded in my memory. They’re all on the phone like, ‘White muthafuckin’ devil, man, tryin’ to rob us motherfucker!’ And Ghost is looking at me while on speakerphone, just winking at me like, I love you man! [laughs].”

“So three days into the edit, I get a call that Ghost had had been kicked out of like eleven hotels, and I’m like, ‘Why were you kicked out?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t know man, I got fucked up, and I just start breaking shit. Can you come get me? I got no place to stay.’ So I let him stay at my house. Suddenly my phone rings, and it’s Steve Rifkind, ‘Whats going on?’ I go, ‘Nothing, I’m just bringing Ghost over my house ’cause he got kicked out of the hotel.’ Then there’s silence on the other end of the phone. I say, ‘Whats wrong?’ He goes, ‘I gotta call you back.’ Five days later, he calls me up and goes, ‘Are you okay? Oh my God, you scared the shit outta me, man. How can you let this guy stay at your house? I don’t even let these guys know where I live!’ I go, ‘What do you mean? He’s the nicest guy in the world.’ He goes, ‘You don’t know what Ghostface has? He hallucinates, he hears voices like kill your mom, kill your mom. He has to be medicated because he has homicidal thoughts.’ So a month goes by, and I would edit all day, and Ghost would just chill at my house until we finished. A month later, I’m with my girlfriend in the backyard, and the cat starts going fucking crazy and starts digging into the dirt. We dig up a bucket of fried chicken. Ghost buried a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken in the backyard. How fuckin’ freaky is that?”

I guess people didnt find a right time to talk about Lil Mama?  :?

I found that to be the one wrong thing in an otherwise dope performance of Jay-Z & Alicia Keys.

Edit: Been reading some reviews Kid Cudi's debut album and it seems like its pretty damn good. But I am still on the fence about it. Thoughts?

The concept I am really diggin and Common doing the narration is something I like too. If I get to the other albums I wanted to get previously, Man On The Moon is an album I will seriously consider getting.

Charles Hamilton gets dropped from Interscope

Remember Charles Hamilton? No? Well, before going into recluse this summer, Dukie was signed to the house that Shady built. But according to our political connects, he received a pink slip a few days ago. Looks like it’s game over.

http://rapradar.com/2009/09/18/charles-hamiltons-dropped-from-interscope/

Many people hate him for being a childish dude, but still this guy was dope on the mic and boards.  I still wanna hear This Perfect Life.  I guess he really is gonna release it for free =P
