If you have RZA on Facebook, check this shit out:

I dedicate the song "Gone" to my friend Sally Menke and its my gift to her memory. I feel music is the best gift I can give and I'm giving it away to Wu-Disciples for free in her name. Who ever like the song can send a blessing of positive energy to Sally's family and her legacy. Peace.

Truth Hurts

Quote
WuWednesday this week is about love and friendship.

Song
"2 Left Shoes" features R n B singer "Truth Hurts" and Rev. William Burk - its a demo we did this summer. I want to share with you Wu-Disciples before it gets into final form.

Verse one is about fake friends who I showed love to throughout the years yet they continue to stab me in the back and take my love and kindness for a weakness. Verse 2 explains how the true and living god put love above all things for love conquers all.

The hook states " loving you is like wearing two left shoes". I choose it because I am a man who loves unconditionally yet that love sometimes is difficult to handle or live with or simply to wear.

Message
The Bible says be careful of those who are only friends at your table. Yet in times of war or calamity they are no where to be found.

"I have no trouble with my enemies. I can take care of my enemies all right. But my damn friends...They're the ones that keep me walking the floor nights." Warren G. Harding

R.I.P. Michael “Eyedea” Larsen

Michael 'Eyedea' Larsen has passed away at the tender age of 28. Larsen's mother Kathy Averill, who found him Sunday morning, confirmed the death via Facebook.
"It is with great pain and sadness that I tell you my son Mikey (Eyedea) has passed away. At this time we kindly request your respect and our privacy as we process this devastating loss. On behalf of Mikey's family, close friends and fans, thank you."

Eyedea's mom also created a fund-raising FB page for fans who would like to help with funeral expenses.

While Eyedea remained largely unknown in the mainstream circuit, he was one of Minneapolis' most beloved musical talents.

are you ready for the Kanye Runaway film....set to his new single.

… is set to drop this Saturday (October 23rd) on MTV, MTV2 and BET at 8pm, making it the first video MTV and MTV2 will have played since turning into a teenage angst-filled reality channel (no, seriously) earlier this year.

Quote
The film, which is about 40 minutes long, will be broadcast simultaneously on both networks and MTV2 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can also catch the film via live stream on MTV.com, BET.com and VH1.com. Directly following the premiere, West will helm a live Q&A session from the MTV headquarters in Times Square. Viewers who miss the premiere on October 23 can catch an encore presentation on VH1 on October 26 at 12 a.m. ET.

The flick has been dubbed a “visual accompaniment” to Kanye’s forthcoming LP, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (which drops November 22). Right before the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, where ‘Ye debuted “Runaway,” MTV gave fans a taste of the movie with an exclusive preview during the VMA pre-show. The clip featured prancing deer, a nimble dancer and Kanye West hauling away a woman swathed in feathers from a fiery explosion.

“It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world,” he told New York magazine. “I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

WHOA SO ARTSY  :shocked

banned artwork for his new album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy"

RZA be dropping shit, this track is dope: http://live.rzawu.com/visions.html

Quote
WuWednesday this week is about peace!

Credits: Outlines, featuring the RZA

Message
"No man is a true believer unless he desireth for his brother that which he desireth for himself." Muhammad

Song
This weeks song is entitled "Visions". Its by a group called Outlines, featuring me. The song is about world peace thru us taking individual responsibility for our actions and us helping save to others once we have saved ourselves.

Being out here in China and seeing the growth of our culture in their world and seeing how their culture influenced my world led me to choose this song. We all so much on the same path as individuals only separated by language and custom and location. And the negative forces that strive to keep us apart by fabricating false images of each other. Well the RZA and Outlines have a vision for a better world.

The Outlines are a group out France whom I'm co producing. You will be hearing more from them. Peace!
