Went to Kardinal Offishall show on Saturday!

Jully Black (singer of many Kardinal's hooks) opened the show.

DAAAAMNN!!! What an asss!! I fumbled for the video mode, I was like

SEE SHORT CLIP!

Kardinal Offishall came on the stage around 9:30 and  totally ripped it up!! He performed lot of his hits Last Standing Soldier, Everyday Rudebwoy, Bakardi Slang, Money Jane and even Bob Marley classic "Is This Love?" the crowd was pretty wild, morons fighting in a corner, cops, security all over. water bottles chucked. But yeah, dude is an amazing performer. If you have a chance, CHECK HIM OUT!! A HO IS A HO!

And I was staring right at security, my arm hurt for having it pointed at the stage, there's some parts where I hide the cam just in case. BUTT I bring you The Bootleg Video!! You best believe I'll be playing this on HiP HoP Hizzy on HiP Radio.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

met him after the show, signed my disc. DAMNED I spent all my batteries on recording the show, I had like enough for a non-flash pic, he said "Whatsup Boss?"

I'd really want someday to get a recorded shout out. XD

ETA:

Here's an MP3 of the concert:

Mos Def Preps New Solo LP

Mos Def is currently gearing up for the release his third solo album titled True Magic.

According to reports, the album is slated for release via Geffen Records on September 26th.

The Brooklyn bred rapper recently released his own converse shoe titled The Chuck Taylor All Star Mid Music. Based on the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker, the shoe is currently available at both Foot Locker and the Converse Web site.

As SOHH previously reported, Mos will be sharing the stage with Talib Kweli, the Wu-Tang Clan, Redman and De La Soul at the 2006 Rock the Bells Concert in San Bernardino, Calif., this weekend.

The two day event will also feature performances from Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Immortal Technique, Murs, Supernatural, Planet Asia, Aesop Rock and Living Legends.

True Magic better be better than The New Danger. I don't wanna get disappointed twice by one of my favorite MCs.

So, Black Eyed Peas!  Well, they "changed" but you can't deny their music is catchy.

Anyways!  BEBOT the Music Video(s)!  Gotta represent my Culture! =)

There's 2 of them.  I liked the 2nd one way better.  They went all out on the Hot Filipino Girls, haha.  There's TONS of Cameos in it if you know the Filipino celebs.   Also has my 2 favorite "actresses" Charmaine Star and Kaylani Lei.  Too bad you don't really notice them.

Hehe, the first part is funny.  Typical Filipino Mom =P  She called Taboo "Tabo" haha!  Its like a bucket or tub thats used to pour water and wash your butt with when you do #2.  Or you bring it, like an icecream tub, on long roadtrips.  My mom "forced" me to go out with my older brother and his friends sometimes back then as well.  "Where you going, ha?  A, you take your little brother, ok?  Ran, you stay with your Kuya!" (kuya means older brother)

Anyways

The Roots - Bread & Butter (Game Theory EP bonus track)
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=49A347A834AE47E2

Making of Game Theory according to ?uestlove:
Quote from: ?uestlove
but yeah---i don't know who hipped ye (Kanye West) to me working with brion first (member when jon and fionna came to the LA grammy jam session?) but it was going down and then the 4 month blackout occurred and we had no budget from march to july 2005--the months jon had me booked--and by that point (and i aint pointing fingers but i get a feeling who snitched on my newfound colabo secret.)

ye had made jon his new biaaatch and i was fucked. i didn't wanna bitch about too much for sounding like a biaatch but pretty much i was REAL salty when i found out jon was working with ye.

add being homeless without a label for four months not really knowing if jay (Jay-Z) was gonna stick to his words

so add that with riq's (Black Thought) kids being in nawlins in july and not having a clue what was up when katrina went down.

add interscope being dicks and not leaving the budget open til jay signed the contracts (we showed up one day and our longtime studio peeps were like "yall cant record here again til we get the budget back"---so that shit alone took 4 months in which i went from the comfort of electric lady and these nice ass studios to doing the "baby baby baby" drums while watching these mice run in and out of my drum booth.

come to think of it....the "organix" like conditions we had to endure for the first 4 months of song structuring really made and gave this album the dark vibe it has.
Damn, no wonder the album sounds so dark

Ghostface and DOOM album, can't wait for it!  Not coming out till Feb 2007 though =(

Anyone cop the new Masta Killa - Made In Brooklyn disc?  I Heard DOOM produced a track on it.  Most likely one of his Herbs.  Hope its a good one.

For some reason, i'm looking forward to the new Method Man album.  His last one was wack, but the tracks he has now are pretty dope.  Fall Out!

New Method Man and Outkast albums leaked this week. Idlewild is pretty good, I'm definitely feeling it more than their previous album. Meth's album is also way better than his previous album. It has a few really tight RZA beats and the RZA-produced "Konichiwa bitches" has quite possibly the greatest song title ever

Must be a cut & paste job since the original version only has Rae, Ghost and AZ.

edit: I just listened to it:
- the beat is different and way iller than the OG version
- Ghost, Rae and AZ verses are the same
- Nas'  verse is from Get Down'
- Jay's verse is from All I Need

It's definitely one of the illest remixes I have ever heard and I would love to hear a full album with Jay, Nas, Ghost, Rae and AZ. They're still the illest New York cats in the game :yep:

BEST MIX TAPE OF THE YEAR!! And I am intrigued by Clinton Sparks, copy his style for HiP Radio XD

Clinton Sparks Recruits 50 Cent And Samuel L. Jackson for New Mixtape
Friday - August 18, 2006 by Anthony Roberts

Clinton Sparks is set to release his latest mixtape "Smash Time Radio Vol.2" with a little help from 50 Cent and actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Sparks is dropping the latest set in his "Smash Time Radio" series in an effort to further introduce fans to his already successful Shade 45/ Sirius Satellite Radio show of the same name. Featuring new music from various artists, blends and remixes, the mixtape also features exclusive interviews with both 50 and Jackson, who, as SOHH previously reported, are currently shooting a new film together entitled Home Of The Brave.

During the interviews, the G-Unit leader touches on a series of topics including kissing Madonna, who's really the King of New York and the difference between him and Jay-Z, while Jackson gives his two cents on rappers who act and his new movie, Snakes On A Plane.

"I feel very fortunate that entertainers of such a high caliber as Samuel L. Jackson, 50 Cent, Kanye West and Ludacris acknowledge my creativity and the importance of SmashTime Radio & MixUnit.com," Sparks told SOHH exclusively of the support that he's received for his projects. "I'm in competition with myself at all times. I wake up every morning like how can I out do my last project. I just hope that people appreciate the work that I do and I'm happy that people want to hear it."

The new mixtape is part of Sparks' "Get Familiar Mixtape Extravaganza" campaign, which will include new projects and mixtapes for the NBA 2K7 video game and artists such as Ludacris, Fabolous, N.O.R.E, Consequence, Saigon, Dre (of Cool & Dre), actor Rick Gonzalez and director John Singleton.

hmm.  How can i get access to that?

Finally listened to The Roots - Game Theory.  Its dope.  The Donut of the Heart beat was one of my fave Jay Dee beats on Donuts.

A lot of music got leaked =)  I'm feelin' the MethodMan album.  I'm trying to get into Idlewild... I was never a big Outkast fan.
