Big Bang may release new album in Oct or Nov

Korean idols Big Bang may be making a comeback to the local music scene in October or November, according to their agency YG Entertainment on Friday.

An official from YG told 10Asia over the phone, "There are plans for the boys to release a new album but it is tentative -- it will depend on the progress of the album."

The last full-length album that the group released in the country was "REMEMBER," which featured their title track "Red Sunset," a remake of veteran singer Lee Moon-sae’s song, two years ago.

The five-member boy band, discovered and trained by major talenthouse YG Entertainment, is known as one of the biggest names in the Korean pop industry. They have released various hits such as "Dirty Cash," "With U," "Lies" and "Haru Haru."

Each member has branched out into individual projects with T.O.P starring in the war epic "71 Into the Fire" alongside Hallyu star Kwon Sang-woo and Cha Seung-won as well as appearing on the small screen for KBS drama “I Am Sam” and releasing his first solo album in June.

Member Daesung was a regular on the weekend variety program "Family Outing Season 1" with top Korean MC Yoo Jae-suk, while G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri focused on their solo music careers releasing albums and songs that have fared well on numerous online and offline music charts.

The group also successfully crossed over to the Japanese pop market in June of last year and went on to winning several awards at the MTV World Stage Video Music Awards Japan in this May.

They took the stage at the Summer Sonic Festival 2010 featuring the biggest names in the music industry, performing their Japanese hits "How Gee," "Number 1," "Tell Me Goodbye," "Koe Wo Kikasete (Let Me Hear Your Voice)," "Gara Gara Go!!" and new tunes “Hands Up” and “Beautiful Hangover” which will be released on August 25.

BLASPHEMY! Haha nah it's ok, not everyone can like him I guess.

I don't know what to think about Beautiful Hangover, song is aight I guess, but part from Gara gara go, and Emotions I feel their japanese songs are weaker than the korean. And wtf is up with the drugs in the MV? Makes me confused..

GD and TOP have "formed" (I don't know much about this, I'm going off the item description on Yesasia) a duo by the name of.... GD & TOP!!
They've released an album together called "High High" which is also a track composed by Teddy with duets and solos, and one track, "Oh Yeah", features 2NE1's Park Bom also! TOP's recent digital single song "Turn It Up" is featured also as a bonus track!

So GD and TOP are releasing an album together; does anyone know what that has to say for BB comeback as a group? (If the rumours that spread about a comeback in Oct./Nov. was reeally because of GD&TOP plans, and not BB as a group, and if this will delay a possible BB comeback, etc.) GD and TOP are my fav. members, but I miss BB, I want them all back together, lol. :-P

Due to this, Big Bang will be able to enjoy a longer promotion period. This is definitely for the fans that have waited for Big Bang through their long hiatus. Big Bang will be promoting in Korea this year for as long and as actively as possible.”
