Custom downloads. lol I just download stuff and stick it in the Downloads folder. I also use custom replacements for skin tones, eyebrows and eyes. They override the Maxis ones, so even townies look a bit more decent. It took ages to find ones I found perfect, though x_O

Downloads aren't good if your game is already slow, though! The more downloads you have, the more time it takes for the game to load. But I don't really have that problem.

I promised Farlasca family trees, so here they are... (See the pics on page 1 to see what they looked like in the beginning)


Almonds were actually late addition to Farlasca, so you won't find them on p. 1. Michelle is one of the prettiest Sims I've had, and I've got a soft spot for Victor.


The King died of old age; the Queen is now an elder; princess Lucia has got married and moved away; and prince Lucas is a teen. Lucia turned out to be beautiful :3


Harold aged and is one of the best looking elders I've had. He just looks like he was meant to be an elder. His eyes are much kinder now. Reminds me of Santa Claus. :lol: Suzanne's not an elder yet because I gave her the Elixir of Life... I wasn't ready to let her age yet. Plus her personality would fit the "scared of getting old" type.
Charles is now an adult and married the princess. Can't wait to see what their babies will look like. Charlotte's going to become a teen soon. I really like her, even if she's not the prettiest sim :3


The parents aged. They're still cute. I really like the way that their kids Winona and Wallace have turned out. They look ~different~, or interesting, or something. ^__^


I love love love Esther; she's the troublemaker of the next generation (like Suzanne is for the previous gen). Her relationship with the Queen is horrible, pure hate, but she's going out with the prince, which means she'll make a daughter-in-law from hell, and future Queen :lol:
Poor Elias, I thought he turned out a bit scary looking.. But still love. It's better than looking like an average boring Maxis sim :3 Also, I think Rachael makes a gorgeous elder. She looks like a doll :heart:


The 1st family with twins... Their teen years seem neverending. :lol: It's like agh, when are they finally going to grow up?? Anyway, not much to say here. Tobias is going out with Jenn from the Sells family below.


Well, Harriet had a "pool ladder accident" because I felt that she was spending too much time with her son (it was getting creepy) and I had no storyline for her whatsoever... So she had to go.
Evelyn and John got married, but I fear it's not going to be a happy marriage. John's a romance sim and doesn't want to have kids and all that. Poor Sarah is going to be a bit of an unwanted child: she is not a boy (so she can't be the heir, which means John will have to agree to have at least one more child, which he doesn't want lol), and she is not a redhead like Merchant class is "supposed" to be, she even got her grandma's eyes from noble class. So yeah, I'll try and see what a dramatic storyline I can make for her in my head. :D


OMG Elsa looks so horrible as an elder!!! The weird thing is, instead of teeth she has eyeballs in her mouth, I'm not kidding!! It's so creepy and horrible and I have no idea why it happened... But anyway. This family's decided to find the husband for Dolly, the heir (in peasant class girls can be heirs), via matchmaker once she grows up... And because of this they've all been working hard to get 5000 simoleans for Dolly to spend on her birthday.


I forgot to take pics of the parents as elders, oh well. Gunster had a "running with scissors accident"... I had no storyline for him and he was a romance sim, which didn't fit his looks at all HAHA, so I just got rid of him. Sorry!


Hmm I'm not sure if Ren's girlfriend's name is Dagmar... But isn't she pretty :3 Rhonda cracks me up, she's a romance sim but not in an annoying way. To me she gives the vibe of an 'innocent' romance sim, not the cheating kind... And since she's not the heir, the fear of having kids will be no problem.


Oh man, this family... Poor Gillian! I wanted her to have a happy life because she was so good to her family as a teen. But she's a romance sim, which always results in trouble in my gameplay. She didn't want to get married, but since she was pregnant, I kind of forced her to get married with Colin. And that sent her into aspiration failure. So next, she got the fear of having a baby, while already pregnant... So of course she had another aspiration failure!!! And if that wasn't enough, she had TWINS.... :lol: Got to love this game. So randomly evil.
Anyway, the twins also turned out to look really WEIRD. I mean hello humongous eyes and non-existant chin Yuuya, and Saaya's nose is too short for her face lol. Not to mention that she inherited her mom's frog eyes. I didn't think that this family would become one of my favourite ones to play, but I like it a lot now. Such random stuff happening, haha.

ANYWAY that was my Kingdom of Farlasca update!!!

Dina and Dessa are indeed twins. Can't believe how many sets of twins I've had in this hood. :shocked:

Danone looks like a tranny because of her nose! It's the same giant one that her mom and Choco Lee have. The make-up is for her storyline, because she's supposed to be this girl who wants to grow up fast, so as a result she wears tons of make-up to look older.

Caramelle actually has make-up on now, but I didn't have any newer pics of her face.

I'm not really the best to answer computer related questions -_-

I can only say how much space they take on the hd. I have Sims 2 Deluxe, Open for Business and Seasons. They seem to take about 5.7GB on D: drive which is where I chose to install the games, and 1.27GB (including downloads) on C: drive which is where it stores the snapshots, downloads, etc. changing game info.

I don't know about ram stuff or anything :/ Plz don't ask me lol

I can't download any CC...My parents decided to put an admin password on the machine, so, I can download nothing.

If I don't need to install it, I can download it. So music is safe. (Note to self: SUCK UP TO PARENTS, GET PASSWORD.)

But I like the idea of doing some sort of challenge.

Anyways, I wouldn't take part in video or custom content making or any of that kind. Way too time consuming! :lol: 

And the problem with me is, I've already got so much stuff going on with sims. I even started another new town recently (!) with 8 families and I haven't had a chance to play more than one family so far. I just moved them all in and let them sit there for now. It's because I'm addicted to Strangetown again, every other town is on halt! :lol:

Anyway, possible challenges? Here are links to some challenge rules that already exist for inspiration?

The one I've wanted to do for a long time is "dilute the ugly gene" challenge, but never got very far. Sometimes I manage to make ugly sims by accident, anyway. :P

I think a Legacy challenge with a self-sim or another jphip/H!P sim might be fun. But legacy challenges last ~ages~. I'm still not done with the Cream legacy XD

Keeping the right last name is not that complicated btw: you just have to make sure that the sim who proposes engagement/marriage is the one whose last name you want the couple to have. Also their kids will get the mother's last name, so you have to make sure they are married before the child is born if you want the child to have the dad's last name (which is also the mom's last name then, lol).

Stories, I'm not a writer... I've started writing a sim story maybe 3 times and never got further than that one paragraph.

In the end though, I like challenges that have something to do with breeding LOL. Because I always want to see what the kids will look like. That's why I don't often have gay/lesbian sims, because they can't mix genes.

...So basically, I don't think I was helpful at all LOL!!!

For those that don't know yet, I've got back to playing Sims 2!  The laptop on which I play still has a broken screen. , But the thought came to me a week ago that I could hook the laptop up to a computer's monitor, and play from there! I was so angry with myself.  I could have got and played the Sims 2 pets, the expansion I've waitied for since the Sims 2 came out!!

I don't know why this thought came to me after 3 years!  I've been playing for like a week now. I got two of my favorite sims to the top of their careers (Icon in showbiz, Hall of Famer in athletic, ) but that drive for me to play the game is just gone. I guess it's because of Sims 3 that I'm waiting for.

I've been using mod the sims 2 a lot lately. I love it :heart:

I've been doing a "Mafia saga" in the game lately. I would take pictures to post up, but thats just too much work for me :lol:

Here's one of my families from the Sims 3:

The one framing the room is the oldest son, Bear (I actually like that as a name, :P ). He's doing that because he has an artistic trait. The traits will reflect the way a sim will act. The guy laughing behind him is his dad, Carmine. And he was actually smiling, and then laughing at him for doing that! It just wasn't a thing that I captured him doing.

            
This is Cristiano, the youngest son. One of his traits is the Genius trait.


This is Bear and Cris coming back from dinner in town with the family. There are two restaurants. One is a diner, and one is a more fancy place, that makes you dress formally (if you eat inside). The latter is where these two were returning from.


This is Sean Trapani, Carmine's. cousin. Not much to say about him. I wanted to make him and his family the main focus of my game, but I got into Carmine's family more.

So, I'm trying to go for mafia thing here. I really hope someone out there will make a mafia career download. I did that with the sims 2, so I really want to continue it with the sims 3. Since 3 is a prequel, maybe I'll make the mafia in this game the predecessors of the mafia I had in the sims 2.
