ok, Abba song been over for a while
Now, I feel soo sad! I took like an hour or three to finish due to procrastination and other distractions. umm where was I?
Soooo. Sad. I think I get it now. She was to be sold to slavery. Possibly sex slavery. I feel so sory for her. I think her 'aunty' or stepmom sold her to some guys because her uncle got drunk one night and tried to violate her. That is sum fucked up fammily. I hate Hitomi's dad even more now. I think he did it on purpose to eliminate the competition. Probably to take overr their company cheaply. Asshole! And to think it all hapened on her birthday. Jerk....
So from what I gathered, Rika is a girl who though once rich her family lost their company, soon after her father commited suicide and she lived with her stepmother and maybe her kids if she had any...I don't think so but...maybe she took her to get money from it or maybe she genuinely loved her for a while. But then she took her to the Philipines to live with her sister( I think...if not her brother) but when her or her husband came into her room drunk and he was shot down she was branded a whore and an enchantress and she was sold to slavvery.
That's when Yoshi saw her getting transported to her new ownerr or something and saved her. And now bad people are after her because they want her for whatever pimp/buyer they had in store for her. Meanwhile Yoshi's mother was raped in front of her and her father. She later took her own life and she has blamed her father for this. I am guessing that Ken is her brother, perhaps half brother from the rape. She is acting as a sort of vizier for him untill he is old enough to run the company. Or maybe her fathers' son from a later marriage. Either way he is a little kid. She must love him though.
She is running the company and calling the shots while the dad is sort of a backseat driver there and she gets to make the desicions. You could say that he is a shareholder perhaps. I was like "GAH!" at the lil chat those two had. Also rofled at the name May, I think someone else knows why
anyway
Rika can now talk, but she doesn't want to tell Yoshi (see what I did there?
) because she is afraid of how this might affect their relationship. She will though, eventually.. Yoshi is really depressed and has the weight of the world on her shoulders and has been through a lot more that Rika, dealing with it and taking it like a man. She is breaking though and the more she finds out about Rika the worse she gets, the more she hates her dad and blames him and the worse she gets. She really loves Rika though and that is good, but she thinks Rika will hate her if she knew about what her father did to her family.
So there is a lot of trust but too many secrets. And the things to ask are how will they react once they find out the truth? What will happend to them? and will their pasts catch up to them... also questions about their pasts which are quite trivial such as the whole Yoshi Miki fiasco which really is redundant unless it is going to affect them in the future like for example if it they get back together or something lol which is highly unlikely cause they both have diferent people in their lives.
What I want to read about in the future is some GAM rabu rabu. Like them putting the beds together in the hotel room and snuggling or something...or how they feel about being here and close to Yoshi and their perspectives. Like Miki saying how she feels about what hapened between them or Aya being scared of losing Miki to her ex now that they are close or something like that.
Either way, the story is very interesting and I like it and want to read more.
