yesterday was the 5th anniversary of me and the rabu... and she had the maddest, awesomest gift: 576 paper cranes (origami)!!!!!!!
when i saw her gift next to my gift for her, i felt really bad because she worked on it for 9 days!
so i decided to just write an update for her...

i'm moving this story a bit faster narration-wise since i don't update as much as before...
so this is about a whole day after the whole incident... just saying so you don't go 'wth?!'

Rika awoke to footsteps on the clod floor. She had fallen asleep and had rested her head close to Hitomi's hand. She looked up to see who had entered the room and was surprised by whom she saw standing there.
It was Yoshizawa Jin.
"Look what you did to her" He said to her, with a stern voice. "You've almost gotten her killed."
Rika remained silent, pulling in all efforts not to break down in front of him. She must remain strong. "Sir, if that is all you have to say, please leave."
"I am a father to her. You are nobody. Who has the right to stay by her side at this time?"
"I am most certain that it is me, sir. Please leave the room. You have seen her and I hope that is enough. It will not be good if she sees you her when she wakes up."
Jin suddenly flared up. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HER!"
Rika was stunned, she couldn't answer him.
Jin calmed down, realizing that this is no place to raise his voice. "You have no place by her side, you don't deserve her. She is suffering because of you. Maybe we can talk outside. She should not hear about this."
Jin walked out the room, not even looking if Rika was following him out of the room.
The door closed behind him, Rika was still inside, but at the click of the doorknob, she followed him out.

After almost half an hour, Rika entered the room again, now with tears in her eyes.
She did not even push the door to a close. It was as if all life had left her body.
She slowly approached the small drawer by the bed and took out Hitomi's ring. They had to take it of Hitomi's hand not to obstuct blood circulation while she was in the ER.
After planting a kiss on the onyx set on the ring, she carefully put it on Hitomi's finger.
She looked down at her own ring before taking it off and placing in Hitomi's hand.
She turned her cellphone off and put it in the drawer before turning away.
She quietly walked away, out of the room, away from Hitomi.
Jin could only smile as he watched her board a taxi to nowhere Hitomi could find her.
