haha, sorry but..
[bgcolor=#000000]there will always be something that will get in the way of TakaGaki love isn't there?[/bgcolor]Yay!! you noticed!! I thought I should add that as a kind of a way of helping people know who the narrator is and also letting people know who is starting the next chapter
(also, it helps keep me on track too..)
I talked too much.. and it only made my post even longer than it already is, so without further ado~
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapter 5 Four girls walked along the sidewalk heading to a cafe; the day was cold so they all huddled together. It was especially cold for them when they just sweated a lot from dance practice a few minutes before. "It's really cold today!" one tall girl exclaimed, the two girls walking in front of her simply nodded; they were too cold to reply.
"Mm, it really is cold." a fairly shorter girl walking along side her enthusiastically replied. She was happy that somebody actually did but her motive was to get the slightly short girl in front of her to talk.
Mitsui seemed like she wasn't paying any attention to the tall girl in the back. Koharu noticed that the short haired girl would occasionally talk with the tall banana eater beside her. Why was that? Koharu thought that she and Mitsui were good buddies.
"Koharu," shocked that Mitsui's attention was actually turned to her, she looked up in reply, "are we close to the place yet?"
"Um... yep really close, it's just over there." Koharu pointed, getting close to Mitsui and putting a hand between her and Junjun.
"Oh I see! Junjun, come, let's go!" ignoring the hand that was obstructing her view of the other girl, Mitsui linked arms with Junjun and they both dashed to the place Koharu had pointed at.
"What?! Ah, wait!! Linlin let's run!!"
"Huh? O-oh okay..." The remaining two chased after the two that ran off first.
The bell connected to the door clanged loudly as the four girls entered the cafe, panting heavily. A waitress came up to them asking them to follow her to their seat after looking at them oddly. They all sat down on the leather seat, their jackets rubbing against each other and making a lot of noise, on top of that they were all slightly giggling probably from the adrenaline rush.
"Haha, I kinda want a strawberry sundae right now..." Mitsui said while taking her jacket off as everyone else looked through the menu.
Looking at the girl in disbelief, Koharu's voice gradually grew higher as she spoke, "In this weather?! Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Aww that's so cute." It was a comment from Junjun; causing all heads to turn to her in shock. Koharu noticed then that Mitsui's face turned even redder from before.
'
What exactly is so good about that tall banana loving panda?' Koharu thought bitterly. Linlin also seemed to notice the color of Mitsui's face as well and it was obvious that her mood went slightly worse than before.
"Big sis, what are you getting?" Linlin addressed to Junjun in chinese, the rest of the words were in Japanese though.
The 'Miracle' girl wanted to thank Linlin for her jealousy and thought that now would be a good time to talk to Mitsui whilst Junjun was distracted.
"Mittsi, I heard that your photobook shoot was coming up, how do you feel about it?" Mitsui looked back at her with a shocked blank face like she didn't expect Koharu to know about it, it blew over fast however because she answered fairly quickly.
"I guess I'm pretty excited about it... but in this weather it's going to be cold isn't it?"
"Oh~ Mitsui-san, you're going to have a photobook shoot? I want to see~" as usual, the tall panda dragged her words when she spoke, and suddenly Mitsui looked really embarrassed about the whole thing now. The Mitsui problem was just getting bigger and bigger for Koharu.
"Ah... It isn't really all that special..." Mitsui then sneezed and Junjun was quick to grab her jacket and put it on her.
"I don't think it will be a good idea for you to get a sundae now." she joked. This caused Koharu to grow slightly
more bitter towards Junjun than before, her hands still in the position of getting Mitsui's jacket when she had sneezed. The short girl's face seemed to glow in happiness as she smiled in thanks to Junjun.
"Are you guys ready to order yet?" came a voice; Koharu looked and saw an irritated Linlin. Everyone quickly looked at their menus again and started listing off foods. There were some disputes over what to get but the arguments turned out really funny sometimes.
"I want to get this." Linlin pointed at the menu showing the tall panda next to her. Koharu couldn't see because of their half-circle seating position; Linlin was on the opposite end from her.
"You always get that! Get something else; you'll get really fat if you continue eating that!" Junjun sighed when she saw the item that Linlin pointed at and showed it to Mitsui. Koharu didn't get to see but that didn't seem to bother her and she figured it was probably a dessert anyway.
"Big sis that is so mean and I won't get fat because we are always dancing!" Linlin countered.
"You shouldn't eat sweets all the time, it’s unhealthy!" Somehow, that sounded very odd to have come out of Junjun's mouth.
"Oh that looks good!" Mitsui said when she saw the food item, betraying Junjun and going on Linlin's side of the argument.
"It does, doesn't it?"
"Both of you sto~p!!!" Junjun yelled out, holding her arms out in a gesture to stop Mitsui and Linlin from continuing on with the conversation. The two shorter girls giggled in a way like they were expecting this sort of reaction from Junjun. Koharu was on the side watching the spectacle and laughing, to her seeing the 8th gen members' antics felt like watching a show.
After what felt like forever, they finally came to a conclusion on what to get and called a waiter over. The waiter that came over had a face that resembled a clown and talked with an odd accent; they forced Mitsui to order for them as the other three tried their best to hold in their laughter. Junjun shook violently and snorted from laughter causing the nose of the waiter to flare in disgust, which in turn made the three laugh even harder. Even Mitsui's smile began to quiver from slight laughter.
When the waiter left to input their order Mitsui looked at the other three in a mock pout.
"You guys suck..." she said, initiating laughter from all three girls who couldn't hold it in anymore, Mitsui eventually couldn't help but laugh along with them. The day for them was fun, who knew 8th generation would be amusing to hang out with, lately to Koharu it seemed the 5th gen and Rokkies preferred to keep to themselves, not really allowing the 7th gen member in. So to Koharu, this was refreshing and fun, and plus they were all young (to the exception of Junjun, but she acted their age anyway).
Maybe if everyday was like this, menial ordeals such as relationships won't be such an issue anymore.
----------------------------------------
The bunny and the cat stood outside, cold, but refusing to say anything about it. Another one of those awkward silences seemed to have once again come between to two. Sayumi felt like she had to break the silence as the chill was getting to her.
"Reina, you said you wanted to talk to me...?" she started off, hoping the other girl will get the idea and actually start talking.
"Hmm, right... We shouldn't talk here though."
"Where should we go?" the thought of what the very short girl had to say was something she was looking forward to now. If it's secret, then maybe Reina liked her too and was going to confess or something similar. She could think of other reasons, but this one seemed very possible.
"Then... how 'bout my place?" If Sayumi wasn't thinking of anything bad, she was now. Her porcelain like face flushed at the thought, and she mentally shook them away.
"Okay." they were about to head off into the direction of the wonky eyed girl's place but a sudden voice made them stop.
"Gu~ys!! Wait up!" the energetic turtle ran up to them panting slightly. "Wanna hang out?" was the only thing she said, Sayumi realized that the only reason the girl wanted to hang with them after so long was because Gaki-san was busy. The thought was fairly disappointing, '
Are we not nearly as important to you as Gaki-san is?' she thought with a bitter sigh. She wondered if Reina would actually allow the other girl to come along. They still had to talk, albeit she wasn't sure what, but she was sure it was important if it needed to be in private.
"Sure, we're going to my place." the short girl said, shocking Sayumi immensely. It wasn't like she didn't like Eririn anymore; it was because the girl would get in her way. But there wasn't anything she could do about it, and besides, it had been awhile since the three Rokkies actually go together and hung out.
"Yay~" Eri linked arms with both of them so she was in the middle, and dragged them along the path to Reina's. Sayumi couldn't tell if she was happy or annoyed. She was happy that she can now actually talk to Eri after so long, but the cause of this chance made her slightly angry. She was getting frustrated at how easily Gaki-san took their fellow Rokkie member away from them and wondered if Reina thought the same thing.
She glanced at her and noticed that she looked like she was contemplating something. Maybe she was regretting having invited Eri, or maybe she noticed the reason for Eririn's sudden friendliness as well. Reina seemed to notice her glace and looked back, she caught a smile from the younger girl and Sayumi couldn't help but think that she shouldn't think too much.
"Wa~h it's cold!" the girl in the middle of the three exclaimed as she grabbed the two at her sides even tighter. Warmth was coming up Sayumi's left arm, she was grateful for it but at the moment her body was going through a tornado like temperature. Her left arm was really hot, but her right arm was freezing, she was feeling envious of Eri at the moment. After what took most likely half an hour, they finally saw Reina's house. They went up the stairs clumsily since they clung to each for dear life, when they got to the top Reina fumbled slightly looking for her keys. It's always in these moments that give Sayumi a sinking feeling she didn't understand why. When the wonky eyed girl yelled out in triumph that she found her keys, Sayumi too felt relieved.
When the door was open all three practically rushed inside; absolutely grateful for the warmth of the house.
"I'll go make tea." the short girl stated, leaving the bunny and turtle at the couch. They both nodded, taking a seat on the couch and grabbing the television remote. Eririn searched through the DVD's looking for movies.
"I'm back, awww aren't you the cutest~" startled the two taller girls looked at each other, the voice resembled Reina's but it was very unReina-like. The two looked in Reina's direction and found her baby talking her cats. When they walked close, Reina noticed them and stared at them, her wonky eyes wide open.
"How did you establish your Yankii character anyway?" the energetic girl said in disbelief, she was grinning at the scowl on Reina's face.
"Aww, I would be so happy if you said that to me~" Sayumi joked, and both of them started laughing, it was always amusing to hear Reina say something completely out of her character. They assumed only her cats actually saw their owner's true face. They passed the time playing with the many cats that the girl owned and waited for the tea. As Sayumi looked through the refrigerator Eri had a... scary idea.
"Hey, I can cook something for you guys!"
"No!"
"T-that's okay Eririn..." both of them replied fast, causing the other to pout cutely.
"Fine... Oh hey we can have hotpot!" Eri spotted the frozen meat and some vegetables that could be used as ingredients. They all quickly agreed that hotpot would be good, and neither of them can screw up the cooking part.
The Rokkies talked about random things, enjoying the time they had with each other. Talking like this and hanging out felt nostalgic to Sayumi. Has it really been that long for her to even use the word 'nostalgic'? She wanted to turn back the time, she really wanted to go back to when they first joined, it was frightening but it was fun when they first entered Morning Musume. At that time they would always stick together, now it was like they grew far apart, Reina always with Ai-chan and Eri always with Gaki-san. She hung out with Koharu-chan sometimes, but it was different, she didn't know what, but it felt different. She thought maybe it was the age difference (it isn't all that much different though), or their personalities were just too different. Suddenly Sayumi remembered that Reina had to speak with her, she supposed she could stay at the shorter girl's place until Eririn leaves.
When all three were full, all sighing in satisfaction Eri suddenly stated; "Reina, can I stay over? We don't have anything to do tomorrow anyways, unless, you have something to do...?"
The girl in question shook her head violently in reply, "No I'm not busy, you can stay." that threw Sayumi's plan of waiting for Eri to leave, she shrugged it off though, she and Reina could always talk later.
"Let's watch a movie!" She suggested, the other two nodded and got up to head for the couch. "Eririn did you find a--"
"This one!" Eri held up a DVD in front of their faces. Sayumi realized that Eri might have planned on staying at Reina's all this time since the first thing the turtle did when she came in was search through movies. It seemed to be a comedy movie; they sat down on the couch with Eririn in the middle (she wanted to be warm).
After the movie Reina glanced at the clock and mentioned it was starting to get late. It was already 1 in the morning and they had a tiring day too. So Eri and Sayumi began to take out the futons and arranged the sleeping formations in Reina's room while the shortest of the three went and got toothbrushes for everyone. Sayumi flopped down on one of the futons, tired from moving things around; she already brushed her teeth and was just waiting for the other two. She looked around the room, there wasn't really anything since Reina quickly cleaned everything up. She got up and went to the wonky eyed girl’s closet, sure enough when she opened it there was a section filled with purple clothing. But ever since Sayumi and Eri found out about Reina's purple wardrobe problem, they brought her out shopping. And so the purple-ness was slowly being overcrowded by other clothing, thank god. Eririn came out of the bathroom first, she used her whole body and laid on the floor motionless, taking two futons; her face was in one of the blankets and her hair splayed out in different directions. Sayumi couldn't help but think that her Eririn had not changed at all, what with her red and white checkered pajamas and all.
"Eririn~" she laughed as she rolled the girl on her side, "You can't sleep like this, you'll catch a cold." The reply she got was muffled but it seemed her words were heard since the turtle got up and into her futon.
"Good night Sayumin~" the girl said cutely; her eyes were already closed and her voice slowly lost its energy.
"Good night Eririn." Sayumi tucked the other girl in and patted her head, she felt like a mother, but it might be because Eri acted like such a child.
Reina came into the room and looked at Eri. "She asleep?" she asked in a whisper. Sayumi simply nodded and the short girl went to her own futon. Reina looked like she was about to sit down but she got up again, her face with an 'I got it!' expression.
"Sayu, I need to talk to you, let's go downstairs." this was it, the thing Sayumi couldn't wrap her head around or think of a possible thing. What were they going to talk about?
Downstairs in the living room the two girls talked in hushed whispers as they made their way to the couch. But a word had not passed between them ever since they sat down. Sayumi understood that Reina was gathering her thoughts and all, but she still wanted the other girl to think faster. The ominous darkness that covered the other rooms frightened Sayumi a bit and she needed a bit of talking to bring her mind away from her surroundings.
"Um... Sayu..." here it was.
"Yes?"
"Do you... like Eri?" honestly, there was a limit to how straight to the point a person can be, but Reina seemed to just burst right through that limit.
Not really sure how to answer, or even sure if she
heard right she asked, "Uh... What do you mean by like?"
Reina then gave an annoyed and irritated grunt, she didn't like using the word 'love'; Sayumi has never really heard her associate that word with a person before, so she knew Reina was uncomfortable, even still, Sayumi still wanted to make sure she understood the question correctly.
"Ugh... I don't mean a
friend type of like or anything..." she trailed off and thought for a moment, "A girlfriend, a girlfriend!" she suddenly exclaimed, but then brought her voice back down when she noticed how loud she was. "Yeah, that kind of like."
It seems Sayumi finally understood the question, but she couldn't figure out why Reina would ask. Was it possible Reina was making sure that she didn't like Eri because Reina liked Sayumi? The chance of that was getting possible by the second, and she decided to lie, if she lied, there would be no penalties she figured.
"No, not that kind of like."
"That's good to know." Reina gave a relieved face, almost as if a large amount of pressure suddenly fell off her shoulders. Sayumi was now really expecting Reina to like her, if that was the case, she wouldn't mind, she wouldn't have to choose between her and Eri. Besides, it might actually be a good idea, her and Reina together that is. They could be the parents; Reina as the dad and Sayumi as the mom with Eri as their child, almost like the family-like relationship the 4th gen seemed to have. She started to daydream (or is it night dream?) about the scenario and Sayumi liked the thought very much. However, she was brought back from her thoughts by Reina's words.
The short girl still had something to say, and Sayumi couldn't wait to hear it, so she turned her whole attention to the other girl, letting her know that she was listening intently. Reina took a breath but she didn't seem nearly as nervous as she was before.
"Actually Sayu I..."
-----------------------------------------------------
It's so lame quoting something from my own fic but I really do love this line
"You guys suck..."
>< it sounds like something I would say though.. I think I based Mitsui too much off of me o.O"
Haha... only two point of views this time, and Michishige's Point of view is NOT finished!
If I had continued on I would have ended up with a suuuper long post >< (damn bunny and her giant wall of... thought(?)!!)
While writing I kept on asking myself, "Whoa.. It's already pretty long.. Shouldn't I end it somewhere??"
Ah but, if you know the theme colors of Morning Musume, you can probably guess who the next narrator is, and.. I hope I can please people with it...
I
was going to have Takahashi's POV in here but.. I'm sorry... It was already really long so...
Really sorry for ending at another cliff hanger, I didn't mean to seriously.. T_T
I was actually planning on resolving one cliff hanger and ending with another but.... sorry...
I'll update soon okay?? ><
I.. am having troubles with the next chapter tho, since just writing it makes me hot and bothered >___>
...
Oh my, am I giving away too much?? Well I guess I'll end it here then

Thanks to everyone that reads this though, this
is my first fic, so reading comments and seeing people actually reading what I write gives me courage to keep it up.
I think.. the next chapter may come soon, I still have a lot of things to do, but... I'm having fun reading over what I write, since I write in the middle of the night my mind is a total blank (it's easier to switch POV's like that..) so when I read it the next day I can't help but wonder 'what will happen next??' ><
lol I'm such a freak like that I guess..
