Whoa, six years in the game. That's a very long time in idol business. It's great that she's still around after all these years even if she's not releasing music. And according to this ranking she ain't doing too bad:

By the way, when did you guys get into Sonim and how did it happen?

I fell in love with her right before Curry Rice no Onna was released. I was browsing some H!P threads at JPM and I happened to see the cover of Curry Rice single (back then people always thought that she was in H!P). I was blown away by the hotness of it so I just had to see the PV too. Now the PV was a shocker: it was even hotter than the cover and the song wasn't bad either. Soon after seeing the PV, Curry Rice single became my first jpop purchase. I guess Sonim proved that sex does sell

Hmm...I first noticed her with the whole Curry thing too, half apron. I didn't even care about EE JUMP lol. Who gives a fuck if it's Maki's brother and Tsunku produced? Bunch corny lil kids --- then the "solo" zzzzz...snow song or whatever. Suddenly licking the curry - BOOM Godzilla imitation. I was hooked on Sonim ever since

Yeah, I have never been a big fan of EE JUMP. The only single I like is the Sonim solo single because I can't stand Yuki Goto at all. His "rapping" ruined all their songs. Dude has the worst adlibs ever

You should also check out her post-Hana singles. I like her indie releases even more than the songs she did with Tsunku. My favorite Sonim song is definitely Honto wane.

Acting, acting and more acting. She has appeared in a bunch of doramas/movies lately. Her latest single was released in January 2005 so it has been a while. However despite the lack of singles Sonim has released new music this year. The digi+KISHIN DVD had three new Sonim songs and she also released an online single called Chiisa na Yorutabi. I can upload those songs later if you want

I absolutely adore Sonin. She's one of the very, very few artists I still (try) to keep up with.

This is a short of shot in the dark, but would someone mind reuploading the songs posted a few pages back? (I believe they were from her DVD or something of the sort.)
