I would love to be added to the list, because I believe nothing is gonna stop me from going. I don't know how I'm doing it yet, but I am going to see MoMusu in LA.

I'm still gonna be in the process of figuring out what I'll be doing to get there and where I'll be staying. I'm not too good at planning this stuff, and I live in Illinois and am not yet sure if I will have someone else coming with me on the trip so I don't know what I'm doing...

okay list updated.

its good to be organized, but AX really sucks with information. The last couple years i've wanted to see some concerts but they never have finalized info until like 2 weeks before the actual con, 4 weeks at the earliest. people coming from outta state should just look for a cheap place within a decent walking distance from the convention center. the inns around there will prolly fill up fast...if you just want to come out for the 1 or 2 days momusu will be there its kinda hard, but if you come out for the whole weekend, it shouldnt be a problem to book hotel whenever you want beforehand.

Anyone have experience with the ticket sales/giveouts of previous AX concerts? I'll wait whatever amount of time I have to for a good seat. I'll even pay for a premium spot if there is such a thing.

Oh and you can put me on the list. My friend seems like she's game, so the likelihood of me going just skyrocketed.

I posted this elsewhere  --  though it might come in handy here, as well:

If you stay at a nice but reasonably inexpensive hotel that's farther from the Convention Center, it might not be too bad  --  I'm thinking of something near the Gold Line in Pasadena or Sierra Madre.  There are probably some other spots along one of the Metro Rail lines that might be OK  --  transferring from one line to another is easy.  The Blue Line train stops at Pico Station, just across from the Convention Center, and all-day pass (which covers all of the lines, in all directions) is $5.00.

Here's a PDF of the Metro Rail system (the Convention Center's at Pico, just south of the 7th St/Metro Center):
http://www.metro.net/riding_metro/maps/images/rail_map.pdf

Here's LA Metro's site:
http://www.metro.net/default.asp

And the LA Convention Center:

in any even, I live about 30 miles from the LA Convention Center, so I'll be there! :twothumbs

Oh, if I get my visa on time, I'm definitely going.

For those of you that want to go but are worried about where to stay, try CouchSurfing.com, you may get lucky  :D The idea of couchsurfing is you stay with people that have made beds or couches available for travelers.

AX sucks balls with their concerts, really. you stand in line for hours to get tickets, but the tickets arent by where you were in line, theyre all randomly handed out... so you could be first in line and get some bogus ass seat back in the bleachers. the only thing is if you need more than 1 ticket, theyll give you tickets seated together. they do do a premium thing where you pay extra for a ticket in the first 5 or 10 rows or something. iirc its like $25 for the ticket, but only certain people are offered the chance to buy them, i think it might be the people who register VIP or w/e. theyll have more info up when prereg starts, which is like in april.

the non-premium tickets are free btw, as long as you have a con badge.

I was worried it may be some random lottery like that. I vaguely remember that being the case for a past concert. Either way, just being there would be fantastic. Thanks tenkei!  :)

I am down!

Oh and I know what tenkei is talking about, cause we went to the same AX(though different days). But I heard that with the move to the LA convention center, they were able to do things a lot more smoothly. Of course I have no idea what that means cause I didn't go to last years, nor really talked to anyone about it.

For tickets, at least when they did this in the past, for some events you can get tickets when you book in a hotel they have a deal with, but I doubt they will do this for the MM concert. Like Tenten said, you usually have to wait some where in line for god long hours to get tickets for the event and its random seating. However, it's up to the agency on how they want to do this, so it could be different, as we know how anal Up Front can be at times. AX is really stupid when it comes to tickets though... I know from first hand experience. *rolls eyes*

I wonder what good my industry pass will be. I'll probably still need a ticket... damn, I really wish I still knew somebody who staffs AX.

*is still giddy from this morning*
Also reading the other forums. XD All the U.S. and Cali hatin'.

Edit:
For those just looking to attend the MM concert, glancing at the dates, I'm guessing they will be performing on the 3rd or 4th. The big events are usually held on the weekend as most people will be attending those days, unless AX decides to be a jackass. The panel will also be on those days too, unless MM also have some other engagements. Actually come to think of it... the panel can be any day, but its usually either the day before, day of, or day after the concert. Haha, sorry this isn't so helpful after all...

yeah like fen said, the concert will almost certainly be on the 3rd or 4th. i would bet the panel/autegraph session (if UFA doesnt dick out on it) will be the day after or before... the girls do too physical a show imo for them to do a concert and a panel later... unless they do the panel before the concert the same day. the concerts are usually spread out throughout the day, and the big events (cosplay shit, karoake shit, random lame shit, the dances) are at night... but UFA realizes what theyre doing, theyll get one of the night slots for the concert.

also most AX concerts are an hour, so factor in intros an MC or 2... but who knows if they get a night slot and AX and UFA arent dicks about it, we could get a full concert--but i wouldnt count on it...

This IS GREAT NEWS! too bad I can't go, don't have the expenses.  But I'm happy for everyone that's planning to attend and the Girls themselves since it's a big deal, debuting in the US.  and I know Reina been wanting to visit LA for a while now, at least she got her wish...

ahhh, in LA, huh?  so near yet so far... I live in Kansas btw and don't have the money to make such a trip.  it would be worse, if they were to attend that other anime/manga event in Houston, TX, then I would kill myself for not being able to attend that one since it's sooo close but no money...

....sorry for the rambling...
