Very good news, but I wonder if the damage has already been done at this point. It will be interesting to see the fallout of all this.

The way things are looking, DSP is shady =)

the persuade Jiyoung and Seungyeon tactic is dirty =P Now i see why they wanted to copyright KARA. That shows they wouldn't think twice about kicking out members from the beginning. There's a lot of unity in the group though, i don't think Jiyoung and SY would sell out on Nicole.

But that's the music entertainment business for you. They always say its 99% business, 1% music.

Well it looks like the demands of the KARA trio are finally on the table. From the article:

With the three members having a contract that still lasts another 3-4 years, the trio has demanded their contracts be shortened to July of 2012 instead, as they would like to end their contract at the same time their contract with Universal Japan ends. They have also requested a more professional management team, as well as a transparent accounting system.

In addition, the three have requested for the resignation of the wife of CEO Lee Ho Yeon, who had been his replacement since last year after he fell into a coma. The trio would also like for a new system, whereby their legal representative could participate in the group’s accounting and contract audits.

Seems like DSP isn't willing to compromise on the shortening of their contracts or the resignation of the CEO's wife though.

Time to cross our fingers ladies and gentlemen.
