Aw! That's nice of you to say mode (albeit it's untrue!)

Multiplayer is surprisingly one of Brotherhood's strongest features. It's unique and doesn't play like anything else out there and for that reason alone I would strongly suggest you go and at least give it a try. Give it time so you can learn the mechanics and how the rules work cause like I said there is a definite learning curve. If you take it's most basic game mode, Hunter, is works pretty much like a free for all. At the beginning you choose from one of a handful of characters (e.g. The Doctor, The Courtesan, The Priest etc) and the map is then populated with these character models. But you can't kill just anyone because you can't say for sure who is human and who's an NPC. The way this mode works, is that you are given the name of a player you must hunt down and kill. But you're not rated on how many kills you can get, but on how you get those kills based on a point scoring system.
For example, you can find your target, run up to him in high profile and kill him, but that can only land you 50 points. However, if you were to blend in the crowd, approach him silently and kill him without even realising you were there, well that could be 200 points for doing that, plus they give out bonus points for killing a player from a hidden area or from say the rooftops. But remember, as you're tracking down your target, another player is also tracking you down too, so if you start running about, your killer will be able to pick you out straight away and you can be an easy kill for them. The better you do, the more players you can have tracking you down too. You can have the briefest opportunity to stun them but best bet is to just run away.
So given all that, without even including equipment/abilities you can use like a hidden gun, poison or be able to disguise yourself completely and you can have a nicely intense match of cat n mouse, with players jumping up and down the scoreboard. It's really hard to describe but hopefully you get an idea of what to expect. I will say that doing experiences like swooping down on an unknowing target from the rooftops, or throwing a smoke bomb down to stun your pursurer as you run away from them is incredibly satisfying. The biggest gripe I had with it is just matchmaking, sometimes it won't work at all or takes so long to do. Plus it seems that it screws over anyone who doesn't have the DLC, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. Here's a vid of a standard match if you want an idea of what it's like:
