Now for anyone who didn't see the event, Montgomery was actually the second-last competitor to go during the final round. Dukurs had the final run of the event, so Montgomery had to wait before he knew what colour medal he'd get. Here are links to videos of both of their final runs. Jon Montgomery of Russell, Man

WOOHOO, this guy is our hometown here, *Is from Russell, MB* It was amazing last night, the entire town gathered together at the in and watched his run on giant TV screens outside. The atmosphere in Russell was amazing, partied last night and I'm going out again for round 2, we're all still pumped that our home town olympian won for gold not only for Canada but for our home town.

Another night of partying to celebrate olympic gold, yeah baby!!

The Koreans beat out Apolo Ohno again in the 1000m short track speed skating. Ohno was making a great move on the inside but he got bumped and slipped, causing him to fall back to last place. The Koreans took advantage and moved up to the top two spots. Ohno managed to get back up to the bronze position in about two and a half laps, pretty baller move.

I wanted Ohno to take the gold over the Koreans, because South Korea hates him lol. They gotta stop hating. Oh well, he raced a great race anyway, awesome recovery from the rear.
