It's been revealed that AKB48's Watanabe Mayu wore a bacon costume for their TV program 'AKB48 Kankou Taishi Guam Special' (translated as AKB48 Sightseeing Ambassador Guam Special).

'AKB48 Kankou Taishi' is a program that features the members of the AKB48 groups as sightseeing ambassadors for a day to promote tourist attractions in Japan. The upcoming episode was filmed in Guam, and it's their first time going overseas for the program. Together with Watanabe, NMB48 members Ichikawa Miori and Kinoshita Momoka will promote the charm of Guam.

As Halloween is around the corner, the members decided to wear costumes toward the end of the show. Watanabe, who loves to eat meat, put on a bacon costume and posed in front of the camera with a self-satisfied expression. "This is the first time I got to fully enjoy Guam. I got to know tourist attractions that I've never known before. And in the end, I got to become bacon. I had so much fun," she expressed.

FujiTV ONE will broadcast 'AKB48 Kankou Taishi Guam Special' on October 28 from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

I'm assuming it's about after her Acute Tonsilitis treatment, but I have a strange feeling it's also about a facial surgery allegation. Or i may just be retarded for thinking that.. she DOES look different.. But what the hell, i know some people who've had their faces change after a simple fever.

I think it is because we are used to her band to more to her right side instead of left. That why look a bit different. It is just my POV.

IMO she looks the same as normal, she was really ill and off for a long time.

There were a bunch of pictures posted the same day by other members, not just the one with Takamina, I posted them here: http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=28262.msg1304876#msg1304876
(and there's with one with Izurina on the next page)

Note, the one with Takamina is mirrored left-to-right from how we normally see Mayu, a result of Takamina's particular phone camera app... so this might be why she looks slightly different there...

Yeah, haha, if her bangs are on the wrong side it's a clear sign the picture is flipped! I find it odd how people look so different when flipped left-right...
