Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bean Bryant (born August 23, 1978(1978-08-23)) is an American shooting guard who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Bryant enjoyed a successful high school basketball career and made instant headlines when he decided to go directly into the NBA upon graduation. He was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant and then-teammate Shaquille O'Neal led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002. After O'Neal's departure following the 2003–04 season, Bryant became the cornerstone of the Lakers franchise. He led the NBA in scoring during the 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons. In 2006, Bryant scored a career high 81 points against the Toronto Raptors, the second highest number of points scored in a single game in NBA history, second only to Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point performance. Bryant won his fourth NBA championship in 2009, leading the Lakers to their fifteenth title. He also won his first Finals MVP award.

^ Watching him in the preseason so far, it definitely seems like they're going to be posting him up a bit more this season.  Saves him some energy too.

SO CLUTCH - the Closer of the NBA. The inevitable DECADE lists are upon us. Kobe ranks #1

10 that shaped the NBA decade

    1. Kobe Bryant -

Not quite Magic, not quite Bird and not quite Jordan, but for overall impact on the game, Kobe rules the decade. He began it as a teen idol who made basketball cool. His image took a hit after legal problems in Colorado. And then, in large part because his basketball skills are so supreme, he recovered it all: endorsements, box office and another title, his fourth this decade.

What a year it was!!!!

You can now make custom Kobe V's on Nike ID. But that snake print needs to be dropped, now the Dark Knight colorway is the way to go

People hate him for being a selfish ball hog, but that's exactly why the man is a stone cold assassin.  LeBron can't be that.

No doubt, You gotta take the shot in order to make the shot.

I love how Sac-town's coaching staff was checking if his foot was on the line rather than if the shot was in or time expired.
