The popular fashion manga and anime by Ai Yazawa, Paradise Kiss, have been confirmed to have a live action movie adaptation starring JDrama stars, Keiko Kitagawa and Mukai Osamu.

In the Paradise Kiss live action movie, Keiko Kitagawa (Pretty Guardian Sailormoon, Buzzer Beat) will play the role of the main character, Hayasaka Yukari, a high school student who is tired of the meaningless and repetitive life that has been forced upon her by her uptight mother; while Mukai Osamu (Hotaru no Hikari 2, BECK) play as Joji Koizumi, an eccentric, handsome, and extremely charismatic student of Yazagaku who has extraordinary talent with a gift for fashion design.

Other cast members for Paradise Kiss live action movie includes Yamamoto Yusuke (Kamen Rider Kabuto, ROOKIES: Graduation), Igarashi Shunji (Ultraman Mebius, ROOKIES), Kaku Kento, Ohmasa Aya, and Kato Natsuki.

I gave up on watching Shigurui : Death Frenzy after 4 episodes. Incredibly self-serious, pretentious and wildly misogynistic. Women in this series have no power whatsoever and are only good for making babies or getting mutilated in the name of sword practice. But mainly I just grew bored of it, it goes at a deliberate pace, by which I mean it is slow as hell. Shame, cause the premise sounded interesting.

Black Lagoon is almost the polar opposite. Man I love this show. Kick ass ladies, explosive action, interesting characters and it doesn't take itself too seriously. The English dub for this is wonderful, so much swearing it's like an art form, with Revy as the artiste. Wouldn't want to piss off Revy at any rate XD

This Akira adaptation just sounds like it's getting worse and worse. Ok so, right off the bat , but that rumour seems to be disregarded. More disappointinly, someone got their hands on a copy of the script. So, it's set in Manhattan after it's decimation. Tetsuo has been renamed as Travis. Yet the name Kaneda remains. There's continuity problems and the ending is not satisfactory at all, supposedly it's left open enough to warrant a sequel.

Quote
Yes, Travis (Tetsuo) does expand and morph into a ballooning human amoeba, but only for one short scene. I think we can all agree that this is one of the landmark, crucial scenes that needs to be in the film, yet it’s only a mere fragment.

*sigh*

Just got back from my local comic book store order The Walking Dead Book 1 & 2. They keep on selling out so quickly and I also picked up Blackest Night.

After watching the anime, I subbed Kanako Ito's "The Skyclad Observer", OP song of Steins;Gate (the 2009 video game). This one's the live version from Animelo 2010.
Talking about multi-thread content.

I really liked the song. And the geeky lyrics are pretty cool, it basically sums up the theme of the story.

^ made me search Rock Lords. :P

GoBots's 'goodguys' leader Leader-1 must feel sad.

Having a motorbike as a nemesis (while he's a friggin jet!)
Totally losing in popularity against Transformers
Having his name bought by Hasbro, then turned into Megatron's Mini-Con (basically turned into a bad guy and an underling at the same time).

Guess being a transforming robot isn't as easy as it looks.

Let talk about the perfect way to distinct from anime elite from losers.
The following rules give a hundred percent answer to the question whether a person is loser:
1. Anyone who looks phony - loser.
2. Any anime about kids - phony. (Evangelion is not phony, because it is Ray, and Ray - the best thing that happened in the anime. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is not phony, because it is Yuki - the best thing that happened in the anime after Ayanami Rey)
3. Any anime with big eyes and colorful triangular faces - phony.
4. Any anime with humor - phony, because the Japanese have very strange sense of humor in the world.
5. Anime which seriously violating the laws of physics or logic, unless the fantastic / utopia world - phony.
6. There are currently 30 titles, which are win. There will be no more than 50 titles for all the existence of anime. The person has the right to see not more than 100 non-win titles. Anyone peeking over 100 titles - loser, the opinion of such a person can be ignored. Anyone peeking over 600 titles do not have any rights, and his opinion can be ignored on any issue.
Sample wins: Evangelion, Cowboy bebop, Berserk, Darker than black, Hellsing, Trigano, Ergo Proxy, Lain serial experiments.
Examples of phony: Faith Stay Knight, wolf rain, angelic rhythms Railgun.

WARNING: even a neutral attitude to phony titles make you loser, negative attitude is allowed only!

Godesses: Ray, Yuki, Lain. Everyone who does not believe their godness - loser. Everyone who does not like kudere - loser.

If you don't want to be loser, you have no choice but to follow these rules.
