Something's up with Rina here...
Yeah sure she looks cute but something just doesn't feel right.
It's like she is...

Speaking of, we need background music for an Ebisu Muscats game right?

She is such a devil under that cute smile.  Those cards must be enchanted.  Careful with them.

Ebisu Muscats is Last TV.....2013.3.31

Today's live announced the dismissal.

Wait.. WHAT?
I hope that news is not for real.
Well, let's make it clear, is it the group who'll be dismissed or the TV show, or nothing will be dismissed?

If it's true, it'll be a shocking news.  :(

Having looked elsewhere I can confirm. The TV show will air for the final time on 31/03/2013. The Muscats will disband at the beginning of April.

It's shocking news, it's something I didn't want to hear for a long time. I thought for the longest time that they could continue on further based on their recent chart success. But when you look at it, it's been 5 years now and I guess the girls aren't getting younger. Yes you could aways bring in fresh blood but can you imagine Muscats without Rio, Acky, Yuma, Kaho, Sho etc? I couldn't. They may have just taken it as far as it can go, you can already see the show was running out of ideas, and a large part of their success is down to the super hardcore fans buying 30-50 copies of the singles to try and get into meet and greet events. They can't keep asking them to do it everytime, and I'm guessing they'll want to go out on a high.

Still gives time for one last single, one last PV. It's really sad news, I wonder how the girls themselves feel? Sure they'll be less busier but the likes of Aino really loved being in the Muscats so I'm sure they'll miss the added fame, the mainstream exposure and the life of living it out as a pop idol. But from now until then, we'll just have to appreciate them more than ever.

In happier news, Jessica made her return to a recent concert. Ai sure is happy to see her back.

Damn. Just when they hitting their popularity at an all time high! Even our favorite adult film star Jade Starr tweeted at :hipheart: "Thank you so much for introducing me to a new obsession! *in lust*" https://twitter.com/jadestarrdotcom/status/279986892936736768

maybe this will introduce more pub a la H!P and get auditions for a new generation while our faves will mentor them not unlike reality show! POSITIVE!!

Oh..  :banghead:

I haven't even manage to go to their live concert and the next 4 months they'll disband..
I learn basic Japanese, just in case that I can go to their live concert and have some meet and greet with everyone.
I think they have potential to be a great group of superstar. Yes, I agree that most of their TV shows' episodes are just doing some same things, but some of them are just different (like the outdoor episode on a amusement park, visited member's home, sleeping together in an abandoned building, had a game on a shopping mall, (if anyone remember this episode) and etc etc). I think they'd be better going out from the studio, instead of inside. That'll be more amusing. #IMHO :D

I hope some months later they'll rebirth into New Muscat or something, still with the senior members, and some fresh ideas.  :)

I have a lot to say about this.

Taken from tokyohive, here is what they have to say:
Quote
On December 16th, Ebisu Muscats held their one-man live “X’mas Rock’n Roll Night~Hadaka no manma de Dete Oide~” at Nakano Sun Plaza, and during the live, it was announced that the group would be disbanding after their live at Maihama Amphitheater on April 7th of 2013.

The announcement was made during the encore by the third leader Kishi Aino. She said tearfully, “Our program ‘Onedari Muscat SP!‘ will end next spring, and with the end of the program, we will also be disbanding. Though it is regrettable, this is the decision we made.” Kishi continued, “We were first told that this program would end after 6 months, but we were able to keep going for 5 years, it has taught us a lot of things just like school. Although we are different from other idols, I am proud that we are able to announce our disbandment at such a big venue like this. Thank you very much for this past 5 years.” The members then received generous applause from the audience.

At the press conference before the live concert, the general director of their program Makkoi Saito revealed the reason of the group’s disbandment, “From the beginning, I was thinking that the disbandment should be when the girls are in the best form. They have achieved the 7th place on Oricon weekly chart with their latest single ‘Gyakusou Idol‘ (released on October 31st), and also the audience rating for the program has reached 2.5% which was the highest, so I wanted it to disband at this timing.”

“Onedari Muscat SP!” will end on March 30th, and they will start their disbanding live tour “Ebisu Muscats Kaisan Tour 2013 ‘ABAYO’” starting in February. It was also announced that they will release their last single “ABAYO” on March 6th, as well as their last album “Sotsugyou Album” in April.

What sucks is today I managed to get the Young Animal Arashi with the Ebisu Muscats on it. I'm picking it up today ad it might be the last thing featuring the group as a whole, other than their second and final album with the final single on its way.
Being completely honest here, we all knew this was coming. I would have liked it if they kept as a group a little while longer, because I viewed the group in a different light (a more positive one) than most people. Seeing them gone is heartbreaking, but we have to make these next few months of Muscat support worth every single penny.
Some of the girls will be fine on their own without the Muscats, while I worry about others. Girls like Rio, Yuma, Acky, Sola and Aino (despite how devastating this might be for her) will be alright, but I wonder about girls like Saemi, Yuika, Ena, and in some cases even Rina. This is huge for some of the girls and to see them disband shocks not only us as fans but the girls as well.

I don't even know how much of a positive note the Muscats have made in my life. Like, I wouldn't be the man I am right now if the Muscats weren't there. I wouldn't have the friends I have now (Tuffty, remy_R, initial, Flantastic, and even quite a few Tumblr peeps) if they weren't there. And I wouldn't have a new found liking for Japanese culture, lifestyle, and the food, without them.

They introduced me to so many attractive girls that I can't even count. Yuma, Acky, Rio, Rina, Saemi, Mui, Uruha, Risa, Yui, Kaho, Mihiro, Shou, Westbrook, Rion, Rin, the list goes on and on. I don't want to see them as just girls that belong in the RLD, and that's why I've been so strong of a fan. Hell if I've made a bit of an impact in certain situations (ex. Russell Westbrook and Aino Kishi), they probably know that I am one of their biggest fans.

I will never like a band or J-Pop group as much as I do with the Ebisu Muscats. There may be others out there (ex. Perfume, AKB48), but this group was effing special.

I do have one request though. If at any point in the next three months they do not bring this girl back...

Then I don't know what to say.

But I digress, how much of an impact have the Muscats had in your life?

Ah, well I guess it was good while it lasted... I just hope the girls got some confidence out of it to do things outside AV/gravure, and that they keep working with fellow ex-Muscats on whatever projects they feel like taking on in the future.

Are all the girls active outside of Muscats, or are some of them left without any work to fall back on?

How much have EbiMasu impacted my life?

At first, I usually wouldn't bother commenting on forums, maybe only being a big Mano Erina commenter over at Hello-Online's picboard.  But then I started watching the show, watching the videos, reading the comments then got into commenting.  also branching out to other Jphip.com pages (garnet crow, fudanjuku, tomato n'pine, koike yui)  Then I picked, or found my favourite,  Ogura Haruka.  I would root for other members to get some camera-time and when they did I would be excited but also hoping for them to make some impact.  The page then was almost another spot to visit daily, even at times hourly to see a new post and start a dialogue.  So EbiMasu brought me to a small community of fans that I appreciate to interact with.  Watch video clips that have to do more with the girls than the group or show.  Post pictures of several members that don't have to do with the group or the show.   :P
I really liked meeting new fans on the page and getting to know their favourites and learning of their opinion/s on the group and etc.  So EbiMasu has got me to interact more with others that tend to enjoy what I enjoy, the Muscats.
I wish western fans could do something to send them a special shout-out for their great work and entertainment.  well, thanks to everyone on the forum and the Muscats for being great.      :twothumbs

Well, answering L4verra's question... What initial said works for me too. My very first comment on a forum is here, in jphip, introduced myself, not knowing that this group will be disbanded a half year later.

Ebisu is the one and only girls group that I like all over the entertainment world, even with the appearance of those Korean girl groups. The other impacts indescribable but they're sure hit the spot of me. They're like 'giving me some hope' that I don't even understand what kind of hope it is. Maybe about meet them later as a whole group and how to achieve that (well, maybe someday I'll go to Japan and meet the production house's team and beg them to gather the group as one again )

I think with the rating increased and they were in top 10 weekly chart, they should go on about this kind of entertainment.   :twothumbs

At least there won't be any more roster changes for the next year.  I was hoping to see more of a contribution from some of the more recent members.  In any case, their talent for music might attract some companies (there are some gravure and AV idols out there that seem to be getting into the music biz).  It was nice to get interested in the group when I did (even if it's only for a year and a half).  Some of the "OG" members have come a long way in the 5 years.  They've probably gained more fans as a result of being an idol group comprised of women whose day jobs are just looking sexy in front of a camera.  I'm sure some of them will have that itch to make some music even after they disband.

Any other ways so they won't be disbanded next April? We all don't want it, right?

Maybe give them tweet and say that we don't want them to be disbanded, from their fans all over the world.
Just a little suggestion.. :nervous

It's the nature of this type of business in Japan.  There are some idol groups that can go on forever (like Hello!Project and AKB) but then there are some that just last for only a period of time.  Just look at what happened with Hinoi Team.  They were only a group for about a couple of years or so and then just disbanded as quickly as they were formed.  Try as you might, but they seem pretty committed to just saying that 5 years is enough.  The members aren't getting younger and sooner or later, they would probably think of "settling down".

They've got good reason to celebrate, it's Yuria's birthday today! Happy birthday you sexy thing you.

One thing I'll miss when they're gone is the amount of photos of them together. Like Ai taking these photos.

Also, I want one of these t-shirts:
