I have a lot to say about this.
Taken from tokyohive, here is what they have to say:
On December 16th, Ebisu Muscats held their one-man live “X’mas Rock’n Roll Night~Hadaka no manma de Dete Oide~” at Nakano Sun Plaza, and during the live, it was announced that the group would be disbanding after their live at Maihama Amphitheater on April 7th of 2013.
The announcement was made during the encore by the third leader Kishi Aino. She said tearfully, “Our program ‘Onedari Muscat SP!‘ will end next spring, and with the end of the program, we will also be disbanding. Though it is regrettable, this is the decision we made.” Kishi continued, “We were first told that this program would end after 6 months, but we were able to keep going for 5 years, it has taught us a lot of things just like school. Although we are different from other idols, I am proud that we are able to announce our disbandment at such a big venue like this. Thank you very much for this past 5 years.” The members then received generous applause from the audience.
At the press conference before the live concert, the general director of their program Makkoi Saito revealed the reason of the group’s disbandment, “From the beginning, I was thinking that the disbandment should be when the girls are in the best form. They have achieved the 7th place on Oricon weekly chart with their latest single ‘Gyakusou Idol‘ (released on October 31st), and also the audience rating for the program has reached 2.5% which was the highest, so I wanted it to disband at this timing.”
“Onedari Muscat SP!” will end on March 30th, and they will start their disbanding live tour “Ebisu Muscats Kaisan Tour 2013 ‘ABAYO’” starting in February. It was also announced that they will release their last single “ABAYO” on March 6th, as well as their last album “Sotsugyou Album” in April.
What sucks is today I managed to get the Young Animal Arashi with the Ebisu Muscats on it. I'm picking it up today ad it might be the
last thing featuring the group as a whole, other than their second and final album with the final single on its way.
Being completely honest here, we all knew this was coming. I would have liked it if they kept as a group a little while longer, because I viewed the group in a different light (a more positive one) than most people. Seeing them gone is heartbreaking, but we have to make these next few months of Muscat support worth every single penny.
Some of the girls will be fine on their own
without the Muscats, while I worry about others. Girls like Rio, Yuma, Acky, Sola and Aino (despite how devastating this might be for her) will be alright, but I wonder about girls like Saemi, Yuika, Ena, and in some cases even Rina. This is huge for some of the girls and to see them disband shocks not only us as fans but the girls as well.
I don't even know how much of a positive note the Muscats have made in my life. Like, I wouldn't be the man I am right now if the Muscats weren't there. I wouldn't have the friends I have now (Tuffty, remy_R, initial, Flantastic, and even quite a few Tumblr peeps) if they weren't there. And I wouldn't have a new found liking for Japanese culture, lifestyle, and the food, without them.
They introduced me to so many attractive girls that I can't even count. Yuma, Acky, Rio, Rina, Saemi, Mui, Uruha, Risa, Yui, Kaho, Mihiro, Shou, Westbrook, Rion, Rin, the list goes on and on. I don't want to see them as just girls that belong in the RLD, and that's why I've been so strong of a fan. Hell if I've made a bit of an impact in certain situations (ex. Russell Westbrook and Aino Kishi), they probably know that I am one of their biggest fans.
I will never like a band or J-Pop group as much as I do with the Ebisu Muscats. There may be others out there (ex. Perfume, AKB48), but this group was
effing special.
I do have one request though. If at any point in the next three months they do not bring
this girl back...

Then I don't know what to say.
But I digress,
how much of an impact have the Muscats had in your life?
