Was browsing through Yuasa's G+ and found these photos of the handshake event on 24 March.
Mayuyu and Yukirin played a game together with a few other members and they looked really happy.

In this last photo, you can see them laughing and facing in each other's direction.
My Thoughts on the Current MaYukiI know there have been speculations about how Mayuyu is upset with Yukirin for getting herself into trouble with the Shukan Bunshun article and I admit I was depressed for a long period of time over the possible broken relationship between my two favourite girls. There haven't been any proper two-shots of them since the "scandal" and they don't seem to interact much with each other too.
However!
Now I believe that these two are still as close as before. Perhaps due to various reasons, they've decided to tone down their fanservice. Mayuyu previously said that she wants to be someone the junior members look up to. Hence, she's probably trying to shed the pampered child image by appearing more independent of her "mother". She is aiming for the center position and a more mature image would definitely help her gain credibility in being the next person to lead AKB48.
Both she and Yukirin are working hard to build their individual careers so let's trust in them and keep the faith! I'm sure Yukirin wants the best for Mayuyu and vice versa. They are simply trying not to get in the way of each other's career growth. Mayuyu has probably realised that Yukirin had always been satisfied to be her support in the old Team B, and thus in a way, Mayuyu was holding her back. Now that they are in separate teams, they can feel free to shine to their full potential.
Six years of friendship can't be broken so easily!
